SMX11 Posted 28 December 2009 Author Posted 28 December 2009 Get Zayatte in from Hull, been made surplus to requirements apparently. Good defender at his level. Wish list (may be unrealistic ) Koren Halmosi Lewandowski wouldn't mind Gilbert back on loan either.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 i went Lee Hughes he got 17 goal and 3 hat-trick in this year and Rickie Lambert he got 22 goal this year I rather we had aids.

(The Times). Those 3 would be quality, probably won't happen.
CosbehFox Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 I would love Michael Ball, he is a free agent, sign him up! Training at Wigan and awaiting to gain fitness from an injury lay-off before signing. i went Lee Hughes he got 17 goal and 3 hat-trick in this year and Rickie Lambert he got 22 goal this year Hughes is scum. Lambert is a brand new million pound signing for Southampton and they are hunting down a play-off spot, clearly they would sell at the first sign of a bid.
Sparky Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 If Moritz Volz was fit id be trying to sign him as a free agent but still think he is few weeks away yet.
Spiritwalker Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 I'd expect to see the back of Dickov & Campbell, possibly both on loan to Derby, therefore meaning we wouldnt see Dickov again, as contract is up at the end of the season I believe. Does dj's contract run out this season? Just seen him have another shit game for the sheep, I think we might struggle to get shut . Maybe our best hope is Derby on loan for the rest of the season they seem pretty desperate.
Father Ted Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 If Moritz Volz was fit id be trying to sign him as a free agent but still think he is few weeks away yet. What a shout! He can play at right-back aswell. @ the 'I'd rather have Aids' than sign Lee Hughes.

nuneatonfox Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Do you think Leicester need to spend, I reckon prabs a couple of signings, also I'd bring back Max Gradel,Paul Dickov & DJ Campbell. Well money is the problem at Leicester so it wouldn't be Beckford. I would go for Nathan Dyer of Swansea & Eastwood of Coventry. Oh & would sell Steve Howard as due to he doesn't score much & he's over rated.
Father Ted Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Perhaps a couple of loan signings but anything else would be a surprise and a bonus tbh.
dandannieldanok Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Eastwood!?!?! Coventry career: 63 apps 9 goals You make Peter Taylor look like a transfer market genius.
Corky Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 bring back Paul Dickov & DJ Campbell. Let's hope we don't.

bigneville Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 We do need to add a couple of bodies to try and make further steps forward. Maybe another loan signing to come in as defensive cover, but I wouldn't expect to see anyone permenant come in at the minute, and I don't see any real need for it either. Just a loan signing should do. In terms of people returning, the only one that could make an impact in my opinion is Gradel, i'd be more than happy to see Dickov & Campbell leave for good.

Aggred however ill love to see nigel splash the cash on Peter Halmosi he would defo benifit the team
Ash Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Gradel back , Then try and get another striker and midfielder! Beckford and Snodgrass would be nice, but not gunna happen
Trav Le Bleu Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Tevez, Drogba and Fabregas would be nice.
Zingari Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Tevez, Drogba and Fabregas would be nice. that's just silly , Fabregas is injured
MC Prussian Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Question is - apart from a short blip about two weeks ago, we've been doing really, really well given the squad that we have. A good mixture of experienced players (Oakley, Howard, Brown , Berner and to an extent Wellens) mixed with young talent (Fryatt, Waghorn, Gallagher, Dyer, N'Guessan) and a few formerly rather unknown names (Weale, Kermorgant, McGivern) - let's also not forget the Academy lads. The excellent team spirit from last season seems to remain unaffected by the current ascent to the Championship Top Five. So - do we actually need strengthening? A solid backup for Weale in case he gets injured? Do we need more defensive cover? Is our midfield too lightweight? Or do we lack enough proper strikers? Can't see too much need for bringing too many new names (even on loan). Right-back maybe. I'd rather first settle the Dickov/Campbell situation and go from there. We've come so far with these players, there's enough competition for most spots and we can go even further with the same squad.
MPH Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Ok... this might be slightly controversial... or then again it might not be. I think the middle of the park has looked more solid with King playing alongside Wellens. Its looked more balenced... Everyone knows whos going to be spraying the passes about and who will be getting back we have also benefitted from a couple more goals from King... so Oakley has been playing wide right.. I just dont think it works so well with Oakley playing on the right... i think we either need to bring Gradel back or get someone in to do a proper Job on the right.. That would mean dropping Oakley! he hasnt done anything wrong, i just thing the team needs to be more balanced.. Its working with Dyer on the left at the moment but with no genuine attacking force coming down the right then he will get sussed out again in a couple of games and go back into his shell - we will be known for always attacking down the left and he will be a marked man and taken out of the game..

Do you not think the potential massive affect on team spirit dropping the captain might have? Also, do you not think that Oakley on the right hand side provides balance, and allows Dyer to play with a lot more freedom. Are we really good enough to play two wingers? I don't think so, I like the one wide midfielder & one winger combo. It's served us very well so far.

It's served us very well so far. well thats the thing... i dont really think it provides the side with balance.. Dyer blows hot and cold... he was awful for a good few games... if we stick with the current format what outlet do we have if he goes off the boil? We desperately need another outlet as it looks like we are stuck with Nielsen at RB as Morrison will no doubt have to cover in central defence and lets be honest here, Nielsen and Oakley together will not be a creative output on the right.. Industrious, maybe but certainly not creative. We were hammered a couple of games ago and looked devoid of attacking options for a few games before that too... relying alot on dyer will get us into trouble... just as it did before.. we rode out luck and picked up some points ... that wont happen all season long...
