davieG Posted 28 December 2009 Author Posted 28 December 2009 The link doesn't work, but the link on the OS doesn't work either. The link doesn't need to work on here as for the OS what's new?
Ford Super Sunday Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Yeah, always love the words 'up to' when it comes to a sale. Means everything is 10% off, and the shit they cannot sell is 50%, but no-one would want it anyway. Hate sales
haraven Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Got a "There is only one Paul Dickov" t-shirt in a similar sale back in 2002-2003 (first time around, promotion year to PL). After he left us I used it for a cleaning rag and for wearing whlile painting. Last time seen in a garbage can on it's way out of the house.
jonthefox Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 great! now all the things i bought my lad for xmas are half price.
haraven Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 great! now all the things i bought my lad for xmas are half price. You could in theory postpone all of Xmas and have a party say mid January, then all you got before xmas as presents would be half price. There would be some headshaking and social back-turning, but it can be done.
Father Ted Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 What a crap sale! Nothing good on sale and only about 5 t-shirts and a jacket. Oh, and antlers. Absolute bollocks.
lavrentis Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 I would have bought the LCFC Home shirt if it wasn't £40.
ousefox Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 I would have bought the LCFC Home shirt if it wasn't £40. This. I am sure they used to make it half price on boxing day or during these 'megasales'.
AoWW Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Awww, the Scruffy Bear is in the Sale though. He looks unloved and neglected. Me wants.
Bluefoxtim Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 What a load of crap. 'Leicester Space Centre shirt' ?????? Still overpriced at £7.50
Daggers Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Amazingly, just like every other sale in the world - aimed at getting people into a store and parting with money on other products they'd not planned to buy. If you didn't need that hat last week you probably don't need to buy it today either. Or the calendar. Or the bear.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 What a load of crap. When we played wolves, few years back at the end of the season, home shirts were being sold for a fiver. Well all shirts were
C.J Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 WOW, Blue flashing antlers. Only a pound!!! Im there, Been after some of those for ages.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 2 things I'd consider buying in that sale only. Not so sure on the jacket tho, but its alright.
Fox92 Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 2 things I'd consider buying in that sale only. Not so sure on the jacket tho, but its alright. Just getting rid of that hat from my draws. It's been to S****horpe, MK Dons, Forest, QPR, Peterborough.. everywhere from this season and last season ... But I have a new one Anyway, not the greatest sale. Only a couple of things there. There is vouchers in the back of the merchandise booklet if anyone picked one of them up/got it through the post.
Anish Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Went to the megastore yesterday after getting my refund on the Donny tickets/travel. Really liked the A2 canvas of Fryatt (I'm pretty sure it was taken after he scored at QPR this season) but that was £79, which is obscene. Unsurprisingly it's not in the sale either. No doubt they'll just throw them out/give them to staff at the end of the season when nobody has bought them, but if they priced them properly in the first place (£30-40) they would no doubt sell. Edit - this is what I'm talking about - it was Macclesfield Away (not QPR) http://www.absoluteauthentic.com/Buy-Onlin...anvas-Print/428
Flynny Posted 30 December 2009 Posted 30 December 2009 I really hope "The Milan Song" has been knocked down.
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 30 December 2009 Posted 30 December 2009 What a crap sale! Nothing good on sale and only about 5 t-shirts and a jacket. Oh, and antlers. Absolute bollocks. What a load of crap.'Leicester Space Centre shirt' ?????? Still overpriced at £7.50 Yeah i went into the shop this morning to pick myself a couple of bargins and a few bits for my little baby for when he's born in Feb,Never been to such a shite sale where ild say less than 5% of there stock was actually in the sale. I left disgusted... This is the one thing i hate about our club is that there nothing more than money grabbing w@nkers
Mack Posted 1 January 2010 Posted 1 January 2010 Would just like to agree with what so many others have said here. The Official web site was advertising reduced home and away shirts and one stage between Christmas and New Year but the banner was swiftly replaced with an 'Up to 50% off' sale. While I was in town I made the mistake of making a detour to take a peek, what a waste of time. The Home and away shirts were still at full price... The "Official Joma Leicester City Training Wear" on sale as advertised is fine if you are 6 years old and need some shorts. Spot on as it's currently -4 outside. The only adults gear in the sale was outdated cheap polo shirts and t-shirts, and they weren't even that cheap at a tenner. I also left very disappointed and bought nothing.
