What would be your team for Blackpool away, after an excellent performance against Newcastle?

I'd go with-

Weale

Morrison --- Brown --- Hobbs --- Berner

King

Solano -------------------------- Dyer

Gallagher

Fryatt ---- Waghorn

Subs: Logan, McGivern, Bruce, Nguessan, Oakley, Howard, Kermorgant

GK. Weale

RB. Morrison

CB. Hobbs

CB. Brown

LB. Berner

RDM. Solano

LDM. Oakley

RAM. Waghorn

CAM. King

LAM. Gallagher

ST. Fryatt

Defence was top notch last game so I wouldn't change anything there.

Midfield-wise i'd play Solano and Oakley together, with Oakley giving another battling performance and Solano sitting back using his quality and spreading the passes.

I really like this formation and think it suits us really well.

This but maybe Dyer for N'Guessan.

All those putting in Solano to start obviously didn't notice him being a yard off the pace for 10 mins on Saturday.

I'd love to see this -

Weale

Morrison Brown Hobbs

Solano ----------------------- Berner

King

Oakley ---------- Dyer

Waghorn Fryatt

I know it won't be that, but I think that'd work well away from home against these.

More likely team

Weale

Morrison

Berner

Hobbs

Brown

N'guessan

Dyer

Oakley

King

Waghorn

Fryatt.

Spot on, as is Fez personnel wise.

As always it is more about how you play not where your name is written on the teamsheet. Having 3 central midfielders playing tight and defending as a group blew away Newcastles much vaunted midfield and going forward passed the ball around with some purpose so I see no reason to make any changes in that area.

The wide men need to remember that in this setup they are primarily strikers and going forward their job is to attack the box and support Fryatt, there is no need to stay wide other than to keep the fullback honest. Waghorn was most at fault in this respect as before we went down to 10 he stayed too wide and too isolated, he needs to play pretty much as he did second half, with perhaps just a touch more width.

Danni gets the left side spot for obvious reasons and he can interchange with Fryatt as Matty is quite comfortable pulling out to the left on occasions. Obviously their job defensively is to get wide and cover the opposition fullbacks.

There is real promise in this setup, it needs to be persevered with, so please Nigel, no more 4-4-bloody2!

Aye it's a cross between a 451 & 433, this was just easier to display.
