Fox You Forest Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 Pogrebnyak obviously not as good in real life as he is on Football Manager.
Fox You Forest Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 Anyone seen the three goals from the Scotland U21 v Iceland U21 play-off game, all crackers. Gylfi Sigurdsson scored both of Iceland's and Scotland's came from the half way line straight from the kick after the first goal.

Incredible. http://www.101greatgoals.com/videodisplay/chris-maguire-iceland-u21-7175163/
Fox You Forest Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 That's the other two goals, nothing at all hapened in the game until the 75th minute.
MC Prussian Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 Montenegro are a home side. The produce their best efforts when playing in Podgorica, but fade away once leaving their motherland. I expect England to walk all over them. Don't read too much into their latest 1-0 victory over Switzerland on Friday. The only assets they have, grit and determination, helped them edge past by a tame Swiss side which has a very, very rough spell at the moment. The "Eagles" have a squad composed of a few more or less outstanding individuals (Vucinic, Vukcevic and Jovetic spring to mind) and mostly technically limited fighters (the back four in particular are quite shaky when put under pressure).
Finnegan Posted 12 October 2010 Author Posted 12 October 2010 I wouldn't really call Vukcevic outstanding. Good, yes, but he's not in the Jovetic / Vucinic bracket. Swz - Wal is going to be a fucking horrendous spectacle.
Dr The Singh Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 I wouldn't really call Vukcevic outstanding. Good, yes, but he's not in the Jovetic / Vucinic bracket. Swz - Wal is going to be a fooking horrendous spectacle. Wales need to find a decent manager, preferably not Welsh because they are all shit!!
MC Prussian Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 I wouldn't really call Vukcevic outstanding. Good, yes, but he's not in the Jovetic / Vucinic bracket. Swz - Wal is going to be a fooking horrendous spectacle. I'm not going near a Switzerland home game in the near future and I don't know why it is that there's still people out there willing to pay money to watch Holiday On Grass. I can foresee a tremendous 1-0 victory. I just don't know which side will score first in the 92th minute.
Finnegan Posted 12 October 2010 Author Posted 12 October 2010 I think we'll get beat. Our injury list is ridiculous. I've gone from cautiously optimistic about this qualifying campaign to instantly doom and gloom. I just hope we have a fully fit squad and a full time manager in place by the Home Nations.
The Doctor Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 hurrah. Spain tonight. expect to see levein field a 7-3-0 formation and have everyone in our box for the entire match.
FoxyPV Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 I'll be amazed if we beat Slovakia even if they did get beat by Armenia on Friday
Alexikokopops Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 Ok well tell me what you as a Welsh fan was expecting from that Montenegro game and the campaign overall? Wales is a small country with only 2 clubs at a decent level, neither of which have that many Welsh players. This seems an odd argument when Montenegro is a third of the size of Wales with no clubs at a decent level.
Finnegan Posted 12 October 2010 Author Posted 12 October 2010 This seems an odd argument when Montenegro is a third of the size of Wales with no clubs at a decent level. That and the fact it was evident to anyone who watched the game that there were shit.
MC Prussian Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 That and the fact it was evident to anyone who watched the game that there were shit. If you're referring to Switzerland, then you're absolutely right.
dandannieldanok Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 This seems an odd argument when Montenegro is a third of the size of Wales with no clubs at a decent level. Yea ok, but if you look through the thread, I've written pages to try and back up my opinion which go a hell of a lot further than that particular comment.
Fox You Forest Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 Looks like a cracking day out if you're a supporter of the Faroe Islands.
StanSP Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 Looks like a cracking day out if you're a supporter of the Faroe Islands. Their stadium is on top of a cliff, and is only one of 2 grass stadiums in the Faroe Islands
StanSP Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 Faroes keeper is 40 years old. If N.Ireland don't win this they shouldn't be allowed in any major competition for a long time.
Finnegan Posted 12 October 2010 Author Posted 12 October 2010 Faroes keeper is 40 years old. If N.Ireland don't win this they shouldn't be allowed in any major competition for a long time. Er, not that I fundamentally disagree - but Edwin Van Der Sar?
StanSP Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 Er, not that I fundamentally disagree - but Edwin Van Der Sar? Thought someone would pick up on that. I come prepared. Holland < Faroes Okay so didn't need much preparing.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 Wales need to find a decent manager, preferably not Welsh because they are all shit!! Chris Coleman? Half decent manager if you forget his time at Coventry. Other then him I am struggling for a name.
dandannieldanok Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 I guess Northern Ireland want the crown of home nations embarrassment tonight then. ...................just gotta hope England don't try to trump them later
