C-man Posted 9 February 2010 Posted 9 February 2010 Allocated 1514 tickets. Adults - £24 Students/Over 60s and Under 18s - £13. Chuffed with the student price, but what are with these small allocations? I know historically we don't take more than a couple of thousand to Hillsborough but we're actually alright this season and its a Saturday 3pm. Who's putting in the weekend shift?
Joe. Posted 9 February 2010 Posted 9 February 2010 Hopefully my boss has let me have the weekend off for this, I've been looking forward to this since the fixture list came out. If he has, I'll need some loving accommodation from one of you Sheffield boys.
ousefox Posted 9 February 2010 Posted 9 February 2010 I should be going to this hopefully. Looking forward to it.
Guest Bilo Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 Pre-ordered my ticket in June or July for this one so will be there. 1514 seems a very small allocation but I'm sure it'll be snapped up if we're still doing reasonably well. I'd expect us to take 2000 plus without too many problems.
Tommeh Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 LARGE. We'll get 6,000 if we require it (which we won't) half of that would be a decent number if we're still doing well. Cannot wait for this. Anyone's welcome to stop over and acquire my floor space.
Jiggers the Fox Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 Cant wait for this!! First visit to Hillsbrough aswell, should be EPIC!!!
AmericanScott Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 Shit allocation i hope i get tickets for this! Quick ride on the tram from West street where my missus lives to Leppings Lane.

Cobbo Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 Been looking forward to training it to this one for a long time
Maybes Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 Been looking forward to training it to this one for a long time Whats the cheapest train mate?
tartanowl Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 There are 7,995 seats available if you can sell them. Your initial allocation you have been sent will be testing to see what you might actually bring. I think you'll only get the top tier and I doubt you'll sell that out in honesty. Most clubs including local rivals don't. Blackpool were lucky if they brought 200 last night.

Ozwin Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 Can you get students to buy more than 1 ticket or are they pretty strict on that sort of thing? £13 is nearly half the price of what I'll have to pay.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 I do love it when Student-friendly cities give us great prices.
AmericanScott Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 The country's cheapest* Spoons is outside a tram stop on the way to Hillsborough. *According to local legend.
Fox92 Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 Always like my locals, Wednesday, United, Doncaster, S****horope, Barnsley etc. Not many initial tickets though, think we may sell them though.
Filbert_Ross Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 ill be having a shave and buying a student ticket
tartanowl Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 It's a wee bit dodgy whether you'll get in with student tickets if you are not a student. Our stewards are fairly strict about asking for NUS cards. The country's cheapest* Spoons is outside a tram stop on the way to Hillsborough. *According to local legend. Be careful if you're thinking of drinking in the Rawson Spring. No colours. It's not the friendliest pub in the world for away fans.
Sparky Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 On it , may stick around in Sheffield then get last train home
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 I swear Posh fans paid less than this! Should be going to this anyway!
Guest Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 Whats the cheapest train mate? Cheap day return from Leicester to Derby, cheap day return from Derby to Leicester. Buy in advance, or from Leicester station on the day. It's about 2/3 of the price of a return from Leicester to Sheffield. No idea on tram prices. Never had a problem with either, to be fair. There is a pretty decent boozer just down from the Spoons, can't remember what it's called, but I liked it!!

You've been warned. A £3 dayrider will do you for the tram. Cheaper than two single fares. There are a few good pubs around Hillsborough corner but not many are away fan friendly. If you've had no problems in the Rawson then go ahead. I drink in there sometimes and I have seen bother on Hillsborough corner. Just thought I'd mention it. Enjoy your visit.
