Katy Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 ben stiller is funnier. i went to see 'the wedding singer' at the local multiplex, and i remember being very very disappointed. Terrible film. Ben Stiller > Adam Sandler
Trav Le Bleu Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 can someone tell me what an oxymoron is ? Military intelligence. Constant change. Original copy. Almost infinite. Funny Sandler. Rational Thracian.

lildave3 Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 Me and the missus decided a couple of months ago that if we ever find ourselves eating tuna, listening to Jo Whiley and watching Adam Sandler films then the time has come to throw ourselves off the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol. I had a photoshoot on that bridge a week ago. I would put up a photo proving this, but then I realised that's your thing and i'd be stepping on your toes Mr. Pops.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 I've managed to get through life without seeing one of his films. It's impossible to know for sure, but I suspect I haven't missed out
rico Posted 22 February 2010 Author Posted 22 February 2010 That fcuking Saturday Night Live shit has a lot to answer for. Yeah, because John Belushi,Dan Aykroyd,Mike Myers,Chevy Chase,Bill Murray,Steve Martin,Eddie Murphy,Martin Short,Billy Crystal,Will Ferrell and even The Muppets are all shit aren't they?
Guest Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 Yeah,because John Belushi,Dan Aykroyd,Mike Myers,Chevy Chase,Bill Murray,Steve Martin,Eddie Murphy,Martin Short,Billy Crystal,Will Ferrell and even The Muppets are all shit aren't they? Am I really supposed to answer that?
Guest Mee-9 Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 Not a fan of Adam Sandler, Although Happy Gilmore is still a classic film. Must of seen it about 15 times now.
rico Posted 22 February 2010 Author Posted 22 February 2010 Am I really supposed to answer that? You can't really say that they are all shit though?
Guest Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 You can't really say that they are all shit though? I used to enjoy the Muppets, but the rest would barely raise a chuckle between them. Not that I'm saying they're shit. Just not my sense of humour.
Jay Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 I used to enjoy the Muppets, but the rest would barely raise a chuckle between them. Not that I'm saying they're shit. Just not my sense of humour. but Dan Ackroyd and Bill Murray made Ghostbusters they should be elimanted from any shit list solely for that fact!! The problem with most American artists Sandler, Carey, Stiller, Ferrell and so on is that they just play themselves in EVERY movie maybe it's the fact that many Americans in entertainment don't like to take risks but they just seem to be themselves in movies with a different title.
CosbehFox Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 Yeah, because John Belushi,Dan Aykroyd,Mike Myers,Chevy Chase,Bill Murray,Steve Martin,Eddie Murphy,Martin Short,Billy Crystal,Will Ferrell and even The Muppets are all shit aren't they? Good job you didn't post the unfunny/less successful comedians. You'd still be writing it now.
Guest Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 but Dan Ackroyd and Bill Murray made Ghostbusters they should be elimanted from any shit list solely for that fact!! Ghostbusters was ok. Then I reached a certain age, and it was "meh". That certain age wasn't even that old. And it's not that I dislike stuff for kids; Chorlton and the Wheelies has me in stitches even to this day.
Webbo Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 You can't really say that they are all shit though? I think Oz leicester was being ironic.
DB11 Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 He makes me laugh but he is not the funniest out there.
Flynny Posted 23 February 2010 Posted 23 February 2010 Everyone mentioning Punch Drunk Love - hooray. Sandler can actually act, and even though it's not 'realistic' it's nice to see how he goes down in a world where people actually realise he's weird and that is surreal in a completely different way. The long shot with the dischordant music while everything starts to go wrong is amazing and actually really uncomfortable. But yeah his film's aren't shit they're just not masterpieces - and really there's not a lot of comedies that are. I had a photoshoot on that bridge a week ago. I would put up a photo proving this, but then I realised that's your thing and i'd be stepping on your toes Mr. Pops. Sorry again about that. I looked on the map where we'd gone wrong yesterday - looked like we went about 4 times further than we needed to.
ozleicester Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 Yeah, because John Belushi,Dan Aykroyd,Mike Myers,Chevy Chase,Bill Murray,Steve Martin,Eddie Murphy,Martin Short,Billy Crystal,Will Ferrell and even The Muppets are all shit aren't they? Ill see your list of "reasonable" comedians... and raise you... Amy Poehler, Will Ferrell, David spade, Jimmy Fallon, Conan Obrien, Chris Farley... and.... ...ROB SCHNIEDER!!! Sorry no i wasnt being ironic. Whilst some of the people involved in SNL have been in mildy entertaining movies, in the main they have provided us with little more than boring, predictable, cringeworthy performances and stories.

Joe. Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 Watched Anger Management the other night, dreadful film.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 Of the films I've seen I quite like Sandler. However I can't make it through about 10 minutes of a Will Ferrell film, so unfunny it makes me cringe.
