Best player on the the pitch IMO, Hobbs was quality and I'm usually biased towards defenders but Dyer pipped him today.

Felt a bit sorry for Bruce after finally getting his chance he was looking steady until he had to come off.

The table sure does make good reading. :D

Yes, Hobbs was superb as were all the defenders. Bruce did look decent and it was unlucky for him to have to come off.

The table does look great at the minute, might have to bust a bottle of red out and enjoy this moment. :)

False in my opinion. Long balls were getting pumped up towards Waghorn for concerted periods, especially in the first 20 minutes.

But the hoofs today stayed in play!

Have to say that other than the first 20 minutes and the period whilst Waghorn and Vaughan were up top together, it was a great team performance.

In general, I thought we passed the ball well and controlled the game even if we did look a bit nervous at times at the back. Delighted to see us keeping possession, getting everyone involved and putting the ball in the box more often. Waghorn took his goal well - a reward for his unwaning effort.

Individually, I thought Hobbs and Lloyd were sensational. After a shaky start, Hobbs dominated Bothroyd - no mean feat considering the size and ability of the lad. Lloyd put in an unbelievable amount of effort - tracked back when needed, got forward countless times and was generally everywhere. Top stuff.

Also remember King and Wellens combining well and putting in a great shift together. I've rated King higher in the ratings thread because I can't once think of a time where he needlessly gave the ball away. Wellens looked after it well after the first 20 and won a load of ball for us, massive improvement from last saturday. Fair play to Oakley too, much better today.

Fantastic to get back to winning ways immediately.

Berner got a stupid booking thanks to Chris Burke, isnt that 5?

pretty sure it's 4.

Edit: nope, it's 6 (n'castle H & A, Brizzle A, Donny A, Sheff wed A & today).

I dont remember him being banned? Or are we past when 5 dosent mean a booking?

Yes it's 10 now and then I think you miss 2 games as Chopra has done today and the next Cardiff game.

We're class, we really are.

One thing Pearson seems to have been able to do is improve players dramatically in such a short space of time.

Weale just seems to be getting better and better, looking so solid and reliable and the save he made when the corner wasn't given was absolutely world class (if he did save it :P)

Morrison has turned into a classy Championship right back, and slotted into centre back with ease today when he was needed.

Hobbs was a good defender when he joined the club, but is turning into an exellent defender who deserves to grace the PL, whether with us or another club, no wonder Liverpool signed him.

Lloyd Dyer was decent in League One but inconsistent, he is growing week by week into a top quality Championship winger, is there a better Championship left winger than him when he's playing well :dunno:

Andy King gets on with his job invisibly, but seems to find space and link up play very well week by week.

Waghorn has turned into a real gem of a player for this division, hard working and capable of finishing and scoring goals.

Gallagher is looking a lot more assured out there aswell with some very slick play, he was unlucky today at times.

Dany N'Guessan has been brought from League Two and turned into a nice little player, he's got some crucial goals this season.

Fryatt has gone from Championship no hoper to a high scoring very decent Championship striker.

Nicky Adams has been nurtured out on loan and now is back nicely placed on the bench, ready.

And then theres the players that NP has bought in that won't improve anymore, but still do a great job.

Burno Berner, is an absolutely brilliant left back, he won't improve that much as the younger players, but he is doing a fantastic job week in week out. In the long run Mattock may turn out to be a better player but currently the experienced Swiss is 10 times the player he is.

Nobby Solano.

He won't improve anymore, but he knows what he's doing, he gives himself time and space on the ball, he looks for space, he finds space, he looks, he thinks, he passes very well. He is doing a great job. He's also capable of a long range stunner, lets hope we see one. He reads the game.

We are simply class all over the park for the most part this season, yes theres a couple of rusty wasters in Howard and Oakley, but even Oakley put a lot of effort in today, Howard won a couple of flick ons and held up the ball once keeping at bay a few Cardiff players before passing to our man.

Then theres the newbie Vaughan who was unlucky not to win a penalty, we didn't see enough of him today, i think he tried a little bit too hard, i'm sure he will contribute something positive to an excellent season.

We're class all over the park, we should really enjoy this, we may lose in the playoffs, but that won't matter.

Simply stunning, i honestly rate Pearson as one of the top managers in the country currently, what a guy, what a job. Unbelieveable.

It's true Pearson is a GOD. I also  when he doesn't wave to the fans when they say 'Person give us a wave' very professional, focussed. Ollie would have been waving and dancing even when we were behind.

Lets hope the improvement continues.

Totally agree with maddog,

Finally i think we look like a team sort of 'bonding' together as a unit

Good win today, really optimistic now :D

Well done City! :scarf:

Superb. They all looked as though they know what each other is going to do, which is the mark of a good team in any walk of life. It wasn't easy for Vaughan to slot in after only a couple of days with the club, but I'm sure he'll do a great job.

Ok, own up - who's hacked maddog's account? :P

Another 3 points in the hunt for a paly-off spot come May 2nd. Was a fairly tough game today, with patches of the game looking scruffy with both teams hoofing it about. But i think Leicester did very well defensively. We stuffed out Cardiff's attack almost all game, making them resort to some long shots - with one of them being a wonder shot which looked a cert for a goal had Weale not made an outstanding save. Which resulted in a City goal kick :P

Long way to go though, with some tough games to play.

Personaly, i'm looking forward to next Sun's game against the Cov scum. Lets keep this great home form intact and get another 3 points.
