MC Prussian Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 I'd encourage you folks to either a) buy tickets through the ticket hotline (0844 815 5000) or b) queue up outside the Walkers Ticket Office in person In either case, you'll have to be patient. The online ticketing system is not very reliable and apparently doesn't work with Firefox in particular (an additional pop-up window wouldn't appear). I tried to reach the Ticket Office last week and rang about three times (getting kicked out of the system after the ominous 30-minutes span) before finally getting through. Don't give up.
thanks4nothinglevein Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 In Queue again, Got to end of queue once before it said about the Error Bulls**t. Now in queue again, Debating wether to ring up or drive to ground.

Don't give up. 1) I got through the phone and it told me that tickets were only on sale to season ticket holders and to try again on the 1st of May. Other than that you just get an automated message saying it's busy and to try again later 2) I live in London and am currently at work nearby. If I could queue up outside the ticket office in person I wouldn't be trying online!
James. Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 a) buy tickets through the ticket hotline (0844 815 5000) Are they even accepting orders on that number though? I thought all play off tickets are being sold through 0844 248 5008.
Rodders Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 It wouldn't be so bad if you could actually wait on the line instead of being told that all their agents are busy and that you'll have to phone back. Surely means it's just luck of the draw whether you get through or not. And as they've messed up the website, it doesn't leave too many options really. Should have expected this though, I guess.

Nah, they're not accepting orders on that number. If you do it through the number ending in 5008, and somehow get through, you end up being told to ring back on the 1st May.
C-man Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 Everything goes oh so smoothly until General Sale. Can't wait to see what the club does with the remaining away tickets... do it through Ticketmaster is my guess.
MC Prussian Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 Are they even accepting orders on that number though? I thought all play off tickets are being sold through 0844 248 5008. Give it a try - I did go with the Ticketmaster number first and when I couldn't state my client reference number, I rang the regular number. It took me about 1 1/2 hours in total, but once I stated my case to the guy at the office, he was kind enough to assist me with my ticket needs.
Rodders Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 Just now: Hello Jack Thank you for your message. I have just checked with the Ticket Office manager and the website problem should now be sorted. I apologise for any inconvenience caused. Regards Pat Ticket Office So, hopefully, when that red line eventually reaches the end of its journey, it will actually be possible to buy tickets now.
Larry_LCFC Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 IS IT JUST ME OR HAS THE RED LINE GIVEN UP ALTOGETHER! MINE IS ACTUALLY REFUSING TO MOVE AN INCH! BOX OFFICE HEADS SHOULD ROLL FOR THIS MASSIVE COCK-UP! THEY ARE IDIOTS!
lcfcpaul Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 just rang main reception at the club and lady said that club is aware of the on-line and telephone booking systems not working and that the IT dept were looking into the matter and HOPEFULLY would be working soon
act smiley Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 Queueing? for a ****en WEBSITE ? What ... the... hell. I can understand them not wanting to have everything go out to those on the interwebs & leave some for the people queueing in person and the phones but surely they could have a system where a fixed bunch of seats go onto the website every hour or something like that which would be a massively less pain in the arse. Is it any wonder that there's so many people ambling about in Liverpool & Chelsea shirts when its so bloody hard to get through at all.
James. Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 Bloody hell my Dad managed to get through on the 5008 number and has just got 2 tickets. Keep trying chaps. It is possible to get through.
adam1 Posted 5 May 2010 Author Posted 5 May 2010 Just got through online. Only to be met with the same problem.
lcfcpaul Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 keep trying that 0844 248 5008 number i just got through and am now SORTED

Last time we were in the playoffs was about 14 years ago - and the Internet was just getting started. It's not like we're bloody Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester United who are in finals or decisive games on a regular basis. I guess they just lack the experience. I know it looks like an amateur move by the club, but our playoff place wasn't confirmed until the 24th of April and the opposition wasn't clear until last weekend. The LCFC website needs an overhaul, anyway.
lavrentis Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 They said the systems gone down and will give me a ring back later
fsdss Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 keep trying that 0844 248 5008 number i just got through and am now SORTED Kicked me out on line after an hour.
Foxy1984 Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 At least people are getting some success! There is hope. I've now opted to take a day of annual leave and stay at home to get a ticket sorted!

Queuing I'm fine with, I just expect that once I've queued I don't get error messages telling me I don't have the right membership to buy tickets for general sale. As such I was booted out and I've been queuing for half an hour since (and the progress bar is at about 10%). I think that's why a lot of people are frustrated.
