Alexikokopops Posted 4 May 2010 Posted 4 May 2010 We know how many have been sold so far? Apparently there's 11000 left. It's gonna be fun at 9am tomorrow... My dad went in today to ask as he wants one tomorrow morning. They said then (about 3pm) that there were 11,000 left. Let the scrum begin.
ramboacdc Posted 4 May 2010 Posted 4 May 2010 well 9am is going to be fun tomorrow. found out i cant hope that theres any left after my meeting because now when my meetings finished at 1:30 i have to go straight to another shop until 10. fook it ill be late to the meeting and blame traffic.
maddog Posted 4 May 2010 Posted 4 May 2010 It's an absolute piss take the club are prepared to lie and bullshit about the away tickets. We were told by Jim there were 1100 P1s and P2s from the previous Championship season, so how that figure would have gone up with League One away games, i'm pretty sure it wouldn't. A lot of fans wouldn't have bothered with League One and there were less local derbies. So if anything that 1100 figure if true has gone down. Even if it has gone up, i can't see it going up anymore than 200-300 so there should be 500+ tickets at least left over. The question is, what the fook are the club going to do with them Are they really going to lie to us, and say the 2k are sold out when their not Or if there are any spare will they become avaliable for P3s They need to be transparent about this, the 1100 figure may have been wrong, the club need to release a statement with the exact figure, or estimate figure of the number of P1s and P2s, if they just say 'due to high demand blah blah bullshit' it just isn't good enough. I know even if some do become avaliable to P3s i may not get one anyway, i don't want the club blatantly lieing to the 12000+ P3 STH about these tickets. It's a joke. Either give us a figure of the P1s and P2s or let the remaining tickets become avaliable for P3s. Yes i'm repeating myself again, but it's a total fooking joke if that 1100 figure is true. The fact is there will probably be half of these tickets left for P3s yet none will become avaliable. Tell us the fooking figure.
Craig Posted 4 May 2010 Posted 4 May 2010 I can see why the ticket office haven't said anything about priority 3 having a sale day, they're right to play it down, and if there's any left they'l probably come out and announce a plan. Do any of you moaning about it seriously think that the club saying 'Yeah, there might be a couple of hundred left for sale on Saturday' is a good idea? There'd be hundreds/thousands of people queuing/scrumming at stupid o'clock outside the ticket office. It'd be carnage.

Fosse Boy Posted 4 May 2010 Posted 4 May 2010 If you wanted to guarantee yourself a ticket then you should have gone to more aways last year, thus granting yourself P1/2 status. That's the way the shit goes down.

You can't expect 500 odd tickets to go on sale to 13,000 odd in my opinion it would be chaos. Tickets will fall into different hands, if you want one bad enough tickets will become available maybe on here, on other fan sites even facebook. It's a lottery really but I believe those deserving will find some.
Mikey Posted 4 May 2010 Posted 4 May 2010 Was planning on going to the away leg as I'm Priority 2 I believe after going 11 aways last year, but don't think I can due to lack of funds. Bit gutted about it, but at least it can be saved for Wembley. (fingers crossed)
CosbehFox Posted 4 May 2010 Posted 4 May 2010 Here's one for ya last season we averaged 2002 for away followings. So what the ticket office say I suppose could be taken as correct in a roundabout way. On ten occasions we took more than 2000 suggesting that there is the premise of at least 2000 of our fans as P2. On fourteen occasions, we took 1900 plus. So we could have 1900 P1's!! As the club makes no recording to who has priority and dishing out of priority cards, I suppose this is the way they are predicting the numbers.
leftsideoverhere Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 The club do keep records. Last season sometime someone posted from an email they'd received from Jim detailing 500 P1s and 1100 P2s. So maddog should calm down a bit about the numbers involved, for one thing. Second is that as mentioned above, we did see more people doing the full tour of league one grounds, since we were going to places that we'd not been to before, and probably wouldn't go to again. Certainly towards the end of the season there were lots of scrambles for away tickets, something there hadn't been for many years in the Championship. So it wouldn't surprise me if there were more P1s this season, but I would expect the number of P2s to actually fall in that situation, so maybe 800 P1s and 1000 P2s is a reasonable guess. Clearly there aren't enough left over from that to spread out amongst us P3s, but the club predicting that there will not be any left is hard to take. Even if they just said "an announcement will be made on Friday regarding any remaining tickets" would indicate that they were going to try to come up with something. Maybe they could do a lottery amongst P3s who want to go, or just those who had to endure the Forest and Derby aways earlier in the season? Saying that 'deserving P3s' will still get to go because the remainder will end up on ebay (where they will be sold for over the odds prices so some chav can line their pockets, and some rich stay-at-home can 'be there' when it matters) is not exactly going to calm me down, either. "Deserving" in this context doesn't mean rich. Greg didn't want to go to away games when he was little. Since he changed his mind we've been to 19 games in a little over a year, but since only five of them were last season we're not going to get tickets for this, ebay or no ebay. I'd willingly queue all night to get us tickets if that is what it takes, but it appears that what it takes is "knowing someone in the ticket office" or being prepared to pay large on ebay, and that doesn't come down to deserving does it?
ramboacdc Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 good morning sunshine! anyone ready for this home ticket general sale or is it just me here left without a ticket so far?
SystonFox Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 Just joined the queue at 8am I'd say it's 100 ppl deep and growing.
ramboacdc Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 got the feeling the online systems messed up already. you can get to "choose your seats" then it says "please go purchase at the box office" so unless that thing is lifted at dead on 9 im screwed.
