Maybes Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 IF(that little word with a big meaning) we get to Wembley we should get around 36/38,000 - 43,000 tickets. They will give us around 35,000 to start with I would imagine taking into account Burnley (35k) and Sheff United (38k) last season. We wont get given in the 40 thousands.
Guest Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 I really hope it's on the Sunday if we have to move. Same here!
Nick Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 Same here! I am quite simply filled with doom. I would love nothing more to make the top six and if we did I believe we could get to Wembley. I just fear we won't get 3 points out of the last two games and I think the Swansea and Blackpool are likely to get 6 each. I hate to be the grim reaper, I just have this vision of sitting at the Middlesbrough game needing 3 and not getting them. Trying to keep the faith, N.
Guest Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 But what level of sobriety will you be watching the game, Nick? Lou, in particular, missed you yesterday, what with you having to be her pretend hubby and all that.
lovelcfc Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 In wembley does anyone know how much the yellow part of wembley is?

Lou, in particular, missed you yesterday, what with you having to be her pretend hubby and all that. It's an early kick off so I may still be able to walk. Soooo sorry I couldn't make it, I had to work last minute.... awful business! I am hoping to re-new this week so I'll be Lou's imaginary husband for another season.
Shrenchel Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 Got no love for 12pm on Sunday. Friday night could be ideal though. Think one of the league one legs was on the Friday night last year though, fvck knows this year.
maddog Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 Am i totally wrong here but i thought that STH would get priority on their current season ticket seats for the playoff home game and get to sit in the same seats as they have done for every home game all season. Surely they will do it like that wouldn't they Obviously the away leg should involve the usual away priority system but surely not the home one.

You mean the club would dispense with the tried and tested system of "STHs have until such and such a date to buy their tickets, after which all seats are on general sale"? I was being sarcastic.

I agree in terms of atmopshere Friday night would be better, my views are based on the fact that I'll be able to attend the Sunday, whereas Friday would be extremely difficult
maddog Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 I was being sarcastic. I'm just a confused idiot sometimes most of the time.

Alexikokopops Posted 19 April 2010 Posted 19 April 2010 I'm pretty sure its around 25-30K. Wembley seats 90K but a % of that oges to toffs who donated monies to the FA at some point + the multiple sponsors of the division/competition. Whatevers left is split 50/50 between the two clubs But this isn't the FA Cup final. There aren't as many seats going to sponsors.

Hey, remember we had to beat Oxford at the end of the 90/91 season, no one gave us a cat in hells chance of staying up but we did it. We had to get something at Watford to get in the play-offs in 96 as well, we are capable of pulling it off. It's going to be a nervy two games but I reckon we'll be ok
Fosse Boy Posted 20 April 2010 Posted 20 April 2010 The Friday night option would be far better, provided we get there. FAO any mathemtical whizzes, is there any chance we can get Blackpool in the semis? A blamy spring evening up there for the away leg really would be something... Bit of excitement, don't mind parting with cash for that. Bully for you.

FAO any mathemtical whizzes, is there any chance we can get Blackpool in the semis? A blamy spring evening up there for the away leg really would be something... ....Yeah, but not likely. We would have to win both games with Forest losing both games (against Plymouth and S****horpe (unless they get 1 point and there is a 10 goal swing)) and Cardiff gaining no more than 2 points (against Sheff Wed and Derby (no more than 3 points if there is an 8 goal swing)) for us to come third and Blackpool could still come 6th ahead of Swansea. Long odds though! 4th and 5th is not possible because Blackpool are too far away to push Cardiff down to 6th. ....so don't book a hotel for Blackpool!! I have been skint this season and live miles from Leicester so can't afford the travel and tickets. So I am Mr Fairweather this season. Have been to like 4 games. Awful. Slate me all you want, but I still want a play-off final ticket! I know I don''t deserve one, and hope that all priority people get the tickets that they deserve. That includes people that have been to more games than me this season. But if I do get one, (how likely is this?!?? Will I have to queue at the ground all night?!??) I won't feel bad for long!

Similar situation to me. Get to as many as I can afford but sometimes it's just impossible, like Preston on Saturday sadly. Thanks for answering my maths geek question anyway. Mental arithmetic has never been my strong point.
Tony Pine Posted 22 April 2010 Posted 22 April 2010 i'm at a wedding on the day it's penned in for, so i wouldn't mind it being on the friday
Tilley Posted 22 April 2010 Posted 22 April 2010 I hope if we're playing Cardiff we somehow win our last two games and Cardiff lose one and draw the other so we have the home leg last.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 23 April 2010 Posted 23 April 2010 Leicester City play-off semi-final date could be switched Leicester City will have to move the first leg of their semi-final back 24 hours if they reach the play-offs because of a fixture clash with Leicester Tigers. If City finish fifth or sixth, they are provisionally at home in the first leg of the semi-final on Saturday, May 8, which would clash with Tigers' game against Saracens. Under Guinness Premiership rules Tigers cannot switch because all games on the final day of the season must kick off at 3pm on a Saturday. However, there is a reserve date of Sunday, May 9 (1.30) for a play-off game. If City finish fourth, a clash will be avoided as they will be at home in the second leg which will be on Tuesday, May 11 or Wednesday, May 12. Football League spokesman John Nagle said the play-off semi-final dates are provisional, specifically so that any issues can be resolved. He said the dates would be confirmed once the competing teams are known. City and Tigers have already been involved in fixture changes this season to avoid clashes and safety concerns raised by the City Council and other agencies. City's home match against Sheffield United took place on Saturday, December 26 with Tigers moving their game against Sale to the following day. City moved their home match against Ipswich from Saturday, January 9 to the following day to avoid a clash with Tigers, who played Wasps. Both City and Tigers have representatives on the Safety Advisory Group, which recommend that both clubs play their home games at least 24 hours apart. Adrian Russell, chairman of the Safety Advisory Group, said: "The Safety Advisory Group (SAG) were informed that there is a possibility that if Leicester City Football Club reaches the play-offs, the scheduled date of the semi-final first leg match is May 8, which is the date of Leicester Tigers' last match of the season. "The Tigers are unable to move their fixture as all rugby matches have to kick off at the same time on the final day of the season. "The SAG considered this carefully and concluded that the principle of avoiding same day fixture clashes involving the two clubs, which has been successfully applied all season, should continue to apply in this instance. "As a consequence, Leicester City will open discussions with the Football League about potential alternative options should they qualify for the play-offs and be at home for the first leg of the semi-final."
Dr The Singh Posted 23 April 2010 Posted 23 April 2010 Leicester City play-off semi-final date could be switched I really hope we are fourth, I hate sunday matches!!!!
lou Posted 23 April 2010 Posted 23 April 2010 Fecking egg chasing pratts Weve got no chance of finishing 4th have we? Oh well lets get there first then I can start the rage
maddog Posted 23 April 2010 Posted 23 April 2010 At least we definitely know it will be Sunday now. With Cardiffs 3 point lead + goal difference and their final 2 games against Derby and Sheff Wed theres very little chance of 4th now even if we win our last two. I assume our second leg will be on Wednesday then if we play the first Sunday
