After a 2-1 victory v Peterborough, a win would really do everything but secure our playoff spot.

Reading have got a midweek game v Newcastle, so you can see them dropping points there- meaning near enough one less rival. Blackpool have got Forest, so hopefully Forest can do us a favour, and Swansea are at home to Barnsley. Also, Middlesborough have got WBA away, which will be tough for them. A loss for them would mean it is difficult for them to pass us.

We're coming off two victories in a row, and have only lost once this calendar year at home.

Watford are 19th in the table, and are not safe yet, so they will be battling for safety. They're last match was at home v Plymouth, and they won 1-0. Watford are unbeaten in 3 games, so are not on bad form. However, they have not won away from home in 15 games (losing 11)- since October 17th, so they're away form's pretty bad, so hopefully their bad awaydays continue on Saturday.

I think we should stick to the same team- only adding Lloyd Dyer if fit.

Their top goal scorer and former Leicester loanee, Tom Cleverley is injured and out for the season.

The result earlier in the season at their ground was a 3-3 draw. We were up 2-0 at HT, but lost the lead and was down 3-2, only to be saved by a late Dany Nguessan header which saved us a point. On that day, Helguson scored twice for them, and is their joint 2nd top scorer, so he's one our defence will have to watch out for.

Their away record this season- P20 W3 D6 L11

Who would you replace from Saturday's line up? Spearing or Gallagher would seem the only reasonable options. I don't think NP will drop Waghorn or Howard.

On re-reading perhaps you mean having Dyer as a sub.

You've beaten maddog to the pre-match poll, he'll be fuming! :giggle:

We're going to win and win well.

Leicester 4-0 Watford, other results go our way, party time!

Never went or listened to the game at Peterborough, but v QPR we won excellently, but lacked width. And before his injury, Dyer was probably one of our best players and could provide us with the width. If he's fit, he has to make at least the bench. And if he makes the starting X1, it would be Spearing or Gallagher out for me. Hopefully he's fit and come's off the bench as a sub.

It's all gone a bit wrong for Watford this season.

A team that looked to have the talent for a mid-table finish or higher finds itself languishing near the bottom, looking nervously over their shoulder at the trapdoor. Away form is a big reason. 3 wins from 20 away games and 37 goals conceded puts them on a par with the bottom three and travelling is obviously a problem for them. The loss of Tom Cleverley is a huge blow, his pace and skill were invaluable to us last season and he's been no less indispensable for Watford.

That's not to say they'll be an easy win. We were 2-0 up at Vicarage Road in September, yet found ourselves feeling lucky to escape with a 3-3 draw after a superb second performance from the Hornets. Danny Graham was their driving force that day and will be aiming to repeat his performance at the Walkers. They aren't yet safe and will scrap for each and every point in the last three games of the season, just as any other team fighting for their lives.

I do think we'll win this one however. Howard and King are stepping up to the plate with important goals, Waghorn is playing well and looking dangerous, Dyer can't be far from a return and Gallagher is always a threat. With us also needing the points to clinch a play-off spot, we're likely to exacerbate Watford's relegation fears.

3-1 with a brace from Waghorn and Wellens breaking his duck for us, and Danny Graham netting a consolation for them.

I'm sure they were sitting pretty in the playoffs earlier in the season. They really have capitulated.

They were playing decent football as well. Ever since their financial issues threatened them with admin they've not been the same team.

Wont be an easy game with them fighting for survival.

We'll win if we go in with the right mind set. We usually do but complacency has crept in once or twice this season. It happens to every team but please don't let us do it again now!

P.S Reading wont lose to Newcastle, and I can actually see them scraping a win. They're gonna cause us all a few sleepless nights yet i fear.

My last home league game of the season (not including play offs  ) for me as i'm going Germany the weekend of the Boro game so hopefully it'll be a good one.

I rekon a 2 nil win

Coming up for the last two home games, was at the game at their place. Judging by what I've seen, Helguson is the one we need to stick to and there support is shiteeeeee. Carnival time i think, 3-1 Wag, Howard, Vaughan (brought on for Howard in last minutes). Their goal coming from Helguson. I'd like us to sign him.

ANYWAY CMON CITY!! :scarf: :scarf:

Your stealing Maddog's limelight! :P

2-0 win, goals from Morrison and Gallagher

SHOULD be a win, i emphasise the word should. Could be another potential banana skin here, Watford fighting off relegation so the pressure will be on them to get a result but in a way this could work well for us. Going by hopefully accurate reporting from chris kamara on ssn (more so than portsmouth - blackburn anyhow) watford didn't play that well against plymouth so you'd hope if they played similar to that we should be able to bag all 3 points. Also disappointed Cleverly is injured but in a way that could work out well, always a danger man when he's playing.

Note: The only reason i've voted for a loss, is that the only two times I have actually voted in these polls, has been a vote for a loss, for QPR and Peterborough last week.

Keep with the superstition until it runs out on me.

Cleverley is out, so I think that gives Leicester a chance. He is probably their best player, at least top scorer.

Leicester need to be merciless, and finish Watford off, relegation or no relegation, they need to swat those hornets!

I think this may be the hardest game of our run in though.
