I really want to believe that we can do it, but I can't help but feel it's going to be too big an ask. On the bright side we could be going into this down by more, it's far from an impossible scenario.

It'll be a case of 3rd time lucky at the Cardiff City Stadium. 3-0 win, Howard hat-trick to make Maddog eat his own shit. :bounce:

Can only see penalties and either a tragic capitulation on the spot or going through 11-10

based on this:

McCormack (10), Whittingham (45) - Howard (52)

Leicester 1-0 Cardiff

Waghorn (29)

Cardiff 4-2 Leicester (League Cup)

Bothroyd (17), Whittingham (71), Burke (90), McCormack (90) - Morrison (34), N'Guessan (39)

2007/08:

Cardiff 0-1 Leicester

Purse o.g. (27)

Leicester 0-0 Cardiff

2006/07:

Cardiff 3-2 Leicester

Chopra (21, 57, 69) - Kisnorbo (71), Hammond (89)

Leicester 0-0 Cardiff

2005/06:

Leicester 1-2 Cardiff

Fryatt (41) - Jerome (13), Koumas (56)

Cardiff 0-1 Leicester (League Cup)

Johansson (11)

Leicester 1-0 Cardiff

Ricketts (8)

2004/05:

Leicester 1-1 Cardiff

Connolly (33) - Ardley (58)

Cardiff 0-0 Leicester

we are favourites to win surely

seems to alternate between leicester win - cardiff win in cardiff but can i point out the score line in bold is the wrong way round - we did score (maybury) but it was disallowed and they won 1-0

Edit: no need to really say on penalties up top so i'll remove that

After today's performance, I hope we go for it on Wednesday night. Even if we end up losing the game, I'd rather lose by attacking than go out on a whimper.

Win through extra-time. Unlikely that we will win, but definitely achievable.

Get the players to watch some previous play-off performances to inspire them. Get them in the mood to do something special.

I cant believe the lack of confidence. Its only one goal and there are 90 mins.

I have no doubt if NP gets the structure right and the players step up, we can easily win in Cardiff, at the very least sneak through on Penalties.

I've said we'll go through in extra time, just for the simple fact that we are Leicester and never seem to make it easy for ourselves. :D

Cardiff will keep it tight and shut us out on Wednesday I expect.

1-1 draw with that twunt Bothroyd for them and King for us.

Think i would prefer a quick, painless, crushing 3-0 defeat over a 1-1 draw with Cardiff scoring after 94 minutes.

We will need to play absolutely awesome like QPR away, or get some huge chunky luck to win this one though. And even then we may get done in extra time or penos.

Hopefully we can get a very early goal and start again from there level.

When you consider the amazing season we've had, I certainly wouldn't bet against us going and doing something at their place. Who on earth thought we'd realistically be 2 goals away from Wembley at the start of the season?

I don't care if we haven't won by more than one goal away from home, I don't care about any stats like that. They were league games, this isn't.

One goal swings this game in our favor, because their fans will start shitting breeze blocks. They will know that they lost in similar circumstances to this a few years ago, and that was at a far more intimidating Ninian Park. They'l also know that they bottled it big time last season; having to avoid a 6-0 defeat to make the playoffs... they lost 6-0.

Like others have said, the key to this is an early goal. Get that, and we'll do it.

Barnsley, Plymouth, Ipswich, and QPR have all beaten them at the CCS this season, and done what we'd consider as 'enough' to avoid defeat over the two legs, and possibly even beat them.

Reading, Sheffield United, Blackpool, Forest, and Palace have all gone there and frustrated them to a point.

These are not invincible. It's going to be tough, but we're Leicester City. We've earned the right to have a shot at this.

A spirited effort, I expect lots of huffing and puffing, a missed chance or 2, then Cardiff to hit us on the break to cue a collapse.

2-0 to Cardiff for me, damage was done yesterday

Im sure Bothroyd will get one even though he should be suspended!

I think again its too close to call. The game at the walkers could have gone either way in my opinion given the chances both sides created.

I fully expect us to at least score but I also expect Cardiff to score to. Heart says 2 - 0 but head says 1 - 1.

Looks like a classic case of the first goal probably deciding the game.

If they score first I really can't see us getting back into the game. Cardiff will without doubt be nervous going into the game but if they get an early goal it will calm them down and I expect them maybe do us by a few if that's the case.

However, if we grab a goal early it will really hit Cardiff. As some of their fans have commented on, they have a history of bottling it in the play-offs and that will certainly be on their minds coming into the game.

It's defintley an uphill task but as I said yesterday, it's always easier to do it the hard way in football.

I can't see Cardiff not scoring. The amount of fire-power they have up front is lethal. They have enough lads in that team who knows where the back of the net is.

I can't see us going to Wembley, sadly. Damage was done yesterday.

First of all I could not get to the game but I saw all bar the first 15-20 mins on TV.

Frankly, we played pretty much the same as we have played all season, solid, unadventurous stuff looking to play the percentages on the second ball. Cardiff are a decent side and pressed well so we were unable to get players forward to support Waghorn so the percentages fell in Cardiff's favour.

It was still damn close though, better defending at a free kick and Fryatt or Gallagher taking their chances could have given us parity or even a lead, it was that tight.

Can we play differently on Wednesday? Should we even try?

Much as I would like to see a more attacking approach I am expecting more of the same but with Howard up front to take the weight off Waghorn.

Who knows? Played with determination it might work and after all it is what we do best!

Hard to believe some of you are Leicester fans to be honest. Its like reading the Cardiff forums. They reckon they have got it wrapped up and some of you seem to agree with them. Lets put it into perspective. We have played 90 mins. We are 1-0 down .. and away goals dont count as 2. They managed to win the away leg so we can too. Still another WHOLE match to play. Hopefully they will switch off cause they think they have won.

Truthfully, no-one knows what can and will happen. We just gotta be there on Wed and damn well let em know we are right behind them. Anything is possible if you believe it enough!

COME ON LCFC! :D

I wouldn't. They rubbed it right in when they won at CCS in the league. If it was a last minute equaliser, I'd leave the stadium and feck off. Sitting there like a duck at 3-0 down whilst one of the best supports in the league get some atmosphere going would be worse.

I just ask for a performance of heart and pride. Also that the away support return it. They had hardly Brazil, this is City we are talking about....nothing has every been easy. In fact carry on the doom and gloom, that's normally when we perform.
