MATLCFC Posted 30 May 2010 Posted 30 May 2010 Love the idea. Hardly get to matches these days [work], but would love to contribute in any way i can. I'm a graphic designer by trade and a jobbing musician and i've made plenty of banners for bands over the years. Also created more logos than i can remember. So my services are there if needed. [No charge of course]. I think what needs to happen is for 20-30 core members to get together regularly. a pub would be nice but can't see them tolerating 20 lads chanting. Another alternative is a cheap rehearsal studio for a couple of hours [ Stayfree, Big Wheel ]. If you can rally 15-20 members together it would work out less than £1each. Once the chant is ready you could arrange for copies to be e-mailed out to other members to learn. Wish everyone involved the best of luck. :scarf: Sounds great idea, nice to see another fan supporting it
ousefox Posted 30 May 2010 Posted 30 May 2010 Went to the first leg of York vs Luton in the playoffs this year and the atmosphere was probably the best i have ever witnessed. There were banners, flags, streamers, no end of toilet role and it was so loud with everyone joining in. It was absolutely class and would love to see it at Leicester even if the stadium isn't the best for acoustics.
hernandez Posted 30 May 2010 Posted 30 May 2010 Just a question reading back a few pages, but how can 'ultra's' be so affiliated with a club in that they ask it for flags, funding etc?
Bakey Posted 30 May 2010 Posted 30 May 2010 Just a question reading back a few pages, but how can 'ultra's' be so affiliated with a club in that they ask it for flags, funding etc? I don't know if ive got the wrong end of the stick here or not but, i would have thought by showing support??? Some clubs form/fund tifo's such as, at Wembely in the week when they gave t-shirts out to create the St George's Cross.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 30 May 2010 Posted 30 May 2010 Just a question reading back a few pages, but how can 'ultra's' be so affiliated with a club in that they ask it for flags, funding etc? Don't really understand what you are aksing here? but we arent asking the club for money or for flags
ashfosse Posted 30 May 2010 Posted 30 May 2010 brilliant idea lads! fully behind this!! go to games with my dad, so might have to ditch the old man to join in with you guys! got my season ticket in K next season. be up for coming to sunderland. think also it could have a massive impact on our away support. especially if we were to get allocated together, and then obviously away fans would be more up for joining in. QUALITY LADS!

CheshireFox Posted 1 June 2010 Posted 1 June 2010 can someone make some 'fosse girls' scarves in pink please but seriously, its a shame that it cant just be 'THE FOSSE' instead of fosse boys, just a minor thing! great idea though, i often sit in the corner of SK1so would be great if it all happened there- the whole problem of not making enough noise in the stadium imo is that the noise needs to come from all sides- to boost the singing in the usual place i.e. next to the away fans wouldnt increase the overall atmosphere enough. btw presumably info will be posted on here about anything aswell as on facebook? not everyone has facebook (i know, but its true) be a shame to have them miss out. also a weekly update pre-match as to what the plan is if anything would be great for people who dont get to every game.

Don't worry, everything like that is being thoroughly thought through. Apologies for the casual sexism found in the group name by the way. I believe there'already been interest from a quite a few potential female members!
Lillehamring Posted 1 June 2010 Posted 1 June 2010 Breeze. In no other section of society do the actions of a tiny minority justify such repression of everybody else. Plod in Germany etc seem to be able to police their nutters without taking everyone else's freedoms away. Gradually football fans in this country get better and better behaved so gradually they find more and more things to criminalise. People getting arrested and banned for swearing, making a willy puller gesture, not throwing the ball back when it goes into the crowd (true story), putting one foot over the advertising hoarding in an over jubilant celebration etc etc. Football is a cash cow for the plod and the less actual violence there is, the more ways they have to think of to try and justify their massive presence at matches where there's absolutely fvck all chance whatsoever of anything kicking off. haven't read most of the thread, but to back up this observation, for comparison, at the norwegian cup final the other year (30K spectators), the entire police presence was something like 6 coppers....

Bakey Posted 1 June 2010 Posted 1 June 2010 Nah, I'd prefer to keep the "boys", think "the fosse" sounds a little gay IMO.
AoWW Posted 1 June 2010 Posted 1 June 2010 "What's wrong with being sexy?" ... I'm off to do the washing, ironing and cleaning.
ozleicester Posted 1 June 2010 Posted 1 June 2010 ... I'm off to do the washing, ironing and cleaning. Bout bloody time... messing about on the interwebs... thats mens business

BoneDog Posted 1 June 2010 Posted 1 June 2010 Surely ladies aren't allowed to be involved in decision making when it comes to man things like this?! They can make/wash the flags, but please don't let them get involved with ideas for names
john_lcfc Posted 2 June 2010 Posted 2 June 2010 Without being funny if girls get involved in stuff like this, it just means it wont be taken as seriously.
