Jimmy Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 as reported in today's sun he will become Dickov's Assistant-Manager good luck Gerry
TWUKO Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 mental Indeed, Can someone tell me when Dickov got his coaching badges???? Can't believe Oldham would take a chance on him! Good Luck anyway, good luck Oldham more like! sacked by christmas?
SMX11 Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 Gerry is far more qualified than Dickov, surely he sees Paul getting sacked and then allowing him to get his first management role
AyewJoking Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 Dickov will be manager by name but Gerry will do all the managing.
Fox92 Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 Good luck to them both, hope they do well. Shame to loose Gerry though.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 Good luck to both. Real nice guys, so hope they do well.
Tommeh Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 Bit of a presumtive thread title when you then go on to say "as reported in today's sun" Hope he stays but best of luck if he is off.
Bugg Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 Sorry to sound a bit stupid, but what actually is Gerry's job here? Is it reserve team manager or something?
Edmund Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 Sorry to sound a bit stupid, but what actually is Gerry's job here? Is it reserve team manager or something? Reserve team manager.
Jay Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 always wondered what exactly the reserve team manager does when you don't have a reserve team
Fox You Forest Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 always wondered what exactly the reserve team manager does when you don't have a reserve team Throttles youngsters who step out of line.
dandannieldanok Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 Indeed, Can someone tell me when Dickov got his coaching badges???? Can't believe Oldham would take a chance on him! Good Luck anyway, good luck Oldham more like! sacked by christmas? It's common for players that wish to go into coaching/management to do their coaching badges during the last couple of seasons of their playing careers. And why should Oldham need good luck, he might do well for all any of us know, he beat 9 other candidates so he must have something about him. I wish Paul and Gerry every success, hope they do well.
Webbo Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 I wish Paul and Gerry every success, hope they do well. Ditto.
Guest Bilo Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 Best of luck to Gerry and also to Dickov. It may not have worked out for him the second time round but I'll always be grateful to him for his first stint here and wish him every success.
DB11 Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 I have a feeling it's because he'll want to take over as first team manager when Dickov gets sacked at Christmas
Matt Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 Not sure I understand the 'pull' factor towards this job for Taggart, I'd have held on for a managers job of his own if I was him. Dickov's going no-where in management I predict, Taggart would do better. Good luck to Tags anyway, and Good luck to Oldham with Dickov as manager
milan_foxes Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 I remember when I went to a Leicester Reserves against Oadby Town at Oadby and I can remember Gerry just swearing his head off at everyone in his Irish accent and the lads were like 17 or something Good luck to them Both.
