They must have seen the Kermorgant song and told him about it. If it wasn't for that he probably wouldn't be that aware of how some City fans were still livid about it.

I'd would have done the same in his shoes, after being villified by the Mercury, andby various Leicester fans. We are looking wafer thin up front now, I suppose we've always got super Stevie Howard to fall back on, great in the air, and technically gifted.

But who knows, I'm just a willy puller that wants the players to love LCFC as much as I do.

Anybody that believes he showed enough at Leicester to warrant a significant role in the team this season is either delusional, wearing rose-tinted glasses or just saying that to be all different and controversial. So, I guess I'll just say bonne chance à M. Kermogant; his spell at Leicester was a mésalliance and unfortunate for the club.

As I said in the DJ Campbell thread, I don't really understand this type of fear ^. What are we desperate to replace? Kermorgant had no affect on our season, he scored one goal which was in a meaningless game. If we were losing a King, a Hobbs, a Fryatt, then I'd be worried and desperate for the club to get a replacement, but it isn't actually that necessary in this case.

He won't return because he simply isn't good enough, he never was: a third-rate player in a second tier side. Potential is nothing: I could be a brain surgeon, potentially. I could be a porn star, an actor or an accounts assistant. I'm not, I never lived up to that potential. I'm wank and so is Kermorgant.

Even if he didn't contribute much to last season we still need a replacement. From our striking options last season we've lost Vaughan, Waghorn & Kermorgant and gained DJ Campbell (who's never done anything for us and i see no reason why that will change under sousa) and looking to sign that slovenian trialist who has absolutely no experience of english football.

And as was also pointed out, Waghorn was unproven at this level and ended up doing a cracking job for us. I really think the manager is a better judge of the players he's after than you, me or anyone on this forum. Now man up and get over it

He hardly played for us and he is a similiar age to Crncic... Also Verma got a 6 month contract and had it extended at the end of last season for a year, he has hasn't played for us though. I'm not saying you are wrong, just pointing out that I believe he is one for the future and we are going to sign him to see if he can do a job for us and earn a contract extension. We will see.

As reported by skysports.com, new manager Paulo Sousa has informed the player he is free to leave the club after being told he would not feature in his plans for the new season. The 28-year-old is set to link up with Arles Avignon, who ply their trade in the top flight French division, Ligue 1. Any move will come just 12 months after Kermorgant linked up with the Foxes after being signed by former boss Nigel Pearson. The frontman found the net just once last season in a 2-0 home over Middlesbrough on the final day of the campaign. His time at the Walkers Stadium ended unhappily following his penalty miss in the Championship play-off semi-final defeat to Cardiff. A statement on the club's official website read: "Leicester City Football Club can confirm that Yann Kermorgant has been given permission to speak to French Ligue 1 side AC Arles Avignon regarding a season-long loan deal."

We'll see how he does in the French 1st division. If he scores goals, then he'll come back with confidence or we can sell him for a decent free. On the otherhand if he struggles........

Thracian Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 Not before time. Kermorgant joins a long list of players in recent seasons whose signing defied belief. It really is a pity City's scouts and manager don't have to explain their thinking when anyone joins the club. Cos we really do sign far too many players who never even look like they have what it takes to be effective... not even in reserves football ... and yet they end up wearing the club's shirt. As for the chance of bringing through an uncut diamond that the trawl nets of other clubs haven#t spotted ..... we seem to find it hard enough to bring our players beyond Rudkin & Bealglehole never mind making something out of a relative veteran like Kergo who had absolutely nothing in his record to suggest he was ever going to be a prolific scorer or maker of goals in English football, And it really wasn't hard to see why. How DJ must have felt I can only imagine. Perhaps City's staff should each have taken the field for real and tried to mark the those two. They would have known in the first 45 minutes who was the handful.
