Thracian Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 Good, we'll never see him again, he'll just go for a nominal fee next summer. Before anyone starts, I am glad he is going because he looked crap everytime I saw him play, not because he cocked up the penalty. If £1 is the nominal fee you have in mind I'd agree - so long as we give the purchaser 95p change!
MC Prussian Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 Will he ever come back...? (Watch him take Ligue 1 by storm)
andy_croydz Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 Will he ever come back...? (Watch him take Ligue 1 by storm) I like the look of their shirt to be fair. Havn't seen the front but I like the colour. I don't think he will score too many in that Aries side. I think they just got promoted last season and are one of the favourites for the drop. Football isn't predictable though
leftsideoverhere Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 Arles lost their opening game in L1 on Saturday, 2-1 away to Sochaux. It seems they're more likely to be relegated than Blackpool. Yann had a good game, apparently: " One of the few to float among the standard [of L1, Arles were promoted for the first time in their history this summer]. He has tried and produced. Was very dangerous and hit a fine shot just wide of the post in the 75th minute." http://www.football365.fr/france/ligue-1/article_441076_l1-sochaux-arles-avignon-2-1-Sochaux-ne-rate-pas-l-occasion.shtml "Y. Kermorgant: 6.0 [the highest rating awarded to an Arles player]: Very useful in his game with his back to goal, he was the best player promoted this Saturday." http://www.football.fr/footballfr/cmc/sochaux/201031/sochaux-arles-avignon-les-notes_90128.html Good luck, Yann.
CosbehFox Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 Seen the highlights; clips a free-kick wide, does a lovely 1-2 and shoots just wide and also involved in the goal. As I said all along the technique is there...it's the pace of the game which he couldn't get use to.

It seems they're more likely to be relegated than Blackpool. They are the French version of Wimbledon - local leagues a few years ago and I think they have gone up four or five divisions in the last few seasons to get ino the top division for the first time ever. They also signed Hameur Bouazza (ex-Watford, Blackpool and Fulham I think).
MC Prussian Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Quick update: Ten games, one goal. (Then again, he's playing for the worst side in the current Ligue 1 campaign)
Babylon Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Quick update: Ten games, one goal. (Then again, he's playing for the worst side in the current Ligue 1 campaign) Was it a penno he scored?
Onions Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Quick update: Ten games, one goal. (Then again, he's playing for the worst side in the current Ligue 1 campaign) So, nearly as good as Waghorn then.................
Bluefoxtim Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Quick update: Ten games, one goal. (Then again, he's playing for the worst side in the current Ligue 1 campaign) You could look at it from a different perspective, he has scored a quarter of their goals.
sbfox Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 You could look at it from a different perspective, he has scored a quarter of their goals. Worst. Maths. Evar.
CosbehFox Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Was it a penno he scored? Header. Four goals his club have scored and believe they are on stats, the worst team in major European top flight currently. They are practically a village side.
C-man Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Did get a creditable draw against Lyon at the weekend though. Not that Yann played....
Bluefoxtim Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Worst. Maths. Evar. How? Arles have scored 4 goals. Kermorgant has scored one of these. 1 out of 4 = a quarter
accessory Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 So, nearly as good as Waghorn then................. Or Fryatt..
Lambert09 Posted 15 September 2013 Posted 15 September 2013 Fair play for learning his lesson. Everyone makes mistakes and he's put in a lot of good work to get his reputation back. A lot of respect for that, still hate him for what he did though.
The Doctor Posted 15 September 2013 Posted 15 September 2013 Clearly doctored video, he actually got some power behind it.
Lambert09 Posted 15 September 2013 Posted 15 September 2013 Good luck to him. Never really understood the vitriol aimed at him after THAT penalty! He f**ked up,knew he had and accepted the blame, end of. Not the first player to make a costly mistake and won't be the last. Should be congratulated for overcoming a life threatening illness and making a career for himself. TBH always thought he looked half decent and that goal against Middlesbrough was a peach. Happy to see he's doing well at Charlton. Obviously Chris Powell saw something in him too! huh?
