Am I the only one that enjoys the banter?

It has a certain charm.

I know two people from Hull. One is amongst the biggest cvnts to have ever walked the earth, and the other is lovely.

I just don't know what to think!

Do they still have their own telephone system in Hull, white telephone boxes, The three H's Hull, Hell and Halifax.

They like Hull Kingston Rovers not football in Hull

Still got our own phone lines, most of the white boxes are gone though, just like most of the old red boxes are gone.

As, I said:

1) The quote on the website is different (albeit only slightly, but the tone is different)

2) Managers and players use exactly the same line at every other club, including ours, regardless of whether they really mean it

I totally agree. He couldn't really say 'It was a hard move to make because Hull are not an attractive team to move to' Good luck to Pearson I say, he's done well for Leicester. :city:

one thing I'm not sure has been mentioned is the complete lack and organisation of the clubs pre season we have no matches lined up against local teams etc where we usually play a good 7 or 8 games including reserve matches we have virtually nothing lined up, infact it's a shambles.

This would suggest to me that something was in the air long before Hull came knocking, if Pearson was expecting to be here come pre season then why had he not sorted anything out? or was he actively promoting himself to other clubs?

Pearson seems to be an organised bloke and the fact that we have no pre season lined up makes me wonder if he ever had any intention of being here in August

Well if you believe Bert (And why shouldn't we? He's gave us snippets off information that turns out true and what he said does make sense) Paulo Sousa has been our manager for ages now it was just a case of getting rid of Pearson.

It all makes sense - Sousa being a guest of Milan's at the Cardiff playoff game, Pearson's interview's, Lack of organisation over friendlies, and then of course Milan - He's not the most honest, falls out with people easily and stabs people in the back.

The only thing I can't understand is where Bert has said Sousa has been our manager for ages is why this hasn't already gone through yet and Sousa isn't officially our manager yet, unless the delay is to make it abit more 'realistic'. Wouldn't surprise me if Milan made an illegal approach for Sousa as in talking to him without Swansea's permission, Sousa gave Milan his word he would do the job and now Milan is have to ask Swansea for permission/sort out compensation, but then the Swansea chairman has come out and said there has been no contact, e.t.c (Unless the Swansea chairman's not telling the truth either), so that is the only part I don't understand.

Philip Larkin, the greatest British poet of the last century, was Head Librarian at Hull University. Apart from that......

He moved there from Leicester Uni! Great comparison. Dunno if Nige will be remembered after his death in quite the same manner, mind.

People might be interested in a comparison of Hull and Leicester that a Millwall fan has written, and some analysis of NP's decision here: A rock and a hard place.

"Sunshine Band Stadium" :crylaugh: Had to think about that for a minute!
