Pearson on Hull website

Someone was telling me its got something to do with a takeover and they did not want NP as manager and before you start grilling me about it it was something i heard. :dunno:

From this it sounds like he made the decision after hearing that we were willing to let him go for a fee.

Definitely been forced out judging by that interview. With Hoos avoiding Stringers question about their relationship it looks like Pearson fell out with the board.

If he has been forced out it's shocking that a manager that has brought so much stability to the club has been treated with such little respect. Of course without knowing the ins and outs it's all speculation but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to read between the lines.

That's the key point. It could have been Pearson being unreasonable that lead to the breakdown, it could have been Mandaric (which is probably the more likely). Of course, we can but speculate, but where would message boards be without wild speculation?

There does seem to be a lot of talk going around along these lines. The bloke was under contract - there really was no need to let him go so easily, so maybe there is something going on.

Or it could be wild and unsubstantiated rumour, of course

MM: "I am doing everything possible to keep NP at the club".

This was Monday.

Today:

NP: "Leicester allowed me to speak with Hull after they enquired, and they were (Hull) surprised this was granted and here we are."

NP even said he was surprised to be in Hull I'm sure of it.

Conclusion:

MM is not being truthful at all. As usual, he thinks he can fool the fans.

But if Mandaric had not allowed Pearson to speak to Hull then he could have got annoyed about it. When another club makes an approach for your manager you're in a lose-lose situation. You either accept and resign yourself to losing your manager, or you decline and risk angering your manager.

Anyway it's gone now, no Leicester fan should be focusing on Pearson anymore, it's done and dusted. If the truth comes out it comes out, otherwise we should focus on getting behind the manager which by the looks of it will be Paulo Sousa within days, if not hours.

I've been doing a bit of research on the glorious city of Leicester to help me understand why he'd want to leave such a utopia and quite frankly my findings have left me feeling like diving into a swamp, it's tragic that people in this day and age have to live like this.

To be fair mate, with the likes of Orchard Park, Bransholme and Preston Road on your doorstep I'm not exactly sure that you're arguing from a position of strength here.

Elsom never let O'Neill talk to Leeds after they enquired & he ended up staying, you have to prove you have no intention of letting them go if you are serious.Mandaric obviously didn't do all he could to stop Pearson leaving as he has stated or he wouldn't have let him even talk to them.

Yeah but put yourself in Mandaric's shoes for a minute. Finances are tight, you've offered Pearson a better contract than before and it has been wholesomely rejected and in a years time he can bugger off for free. Hull come calling with a cash offer for a manager that doesn't seem keen on signing a deal. You know that although the fans will be unhappy, letting go of Pearson would not be disastrous for a club with an excellent bunch of motivated players which even the likes of Dowie couldn't drag to the depths of a relegation battle. For me personally, this whole move actually isn't that shocking or a bolt from the blue, neither will it bring down this club like O'Neill's departure did. If Pearson says it's an easy decision to go to Hull, he can't have been that in love with his job at Leicester so therefore I'm kinda glad he's buggered off if that's the case.

I also heard that there will be new owners and they wanted thier own manager and backroom staff, perhaps they let np go to hull so the new owners didnt just get rid,and also get a bit of cash :dunno:

HULL

That's what the KC'll be like when they realise Man United ain't coming round this season

Back to the mauling , Who have Dull City ever mauled??? :dunno:

Arsenal at the Emirates.

Chelsea at the Bridge.

Spurs at WHL.

Man C ................ etc

And who have you licked to death ? Colchester, Barnett, Hartlepool, Peterborough, etc ? Is that the level of your posting. Silly boy.Grow up.

He wouldn't say why he transferred his allegiance to the KC, and even our slow local radio were quick to ask him why. We know he is being paid a lot more here and has a wad for wages/transfers, Do you think that might have something to do with it ? Seems he was surprised to be allowed by Leics to speak to us following an official approach. So my best guess is he was allowed to go easily. But surely NP must have given the nod first or Hull would have wasted their time asking ?

we've had more famous victories then any of us can remember, that's because we have a long moderately successful history as a club, where as you are just a footnote in English football & in a couple of seasons time Nigel Pearson will just be a footnote in our history, we'll move on to bigger and better in the long run

It makes NP look better to say that he was surprised to find himself at Hull and that we didn't try hard enough to secure his services, however this looks incongruous given that he has made no secret (and neither has MM ) of his refusal to sign an extension to his contract- this "chase me" approach is going on for well over a year. TBH he looks a bit like the ugly girl that no-one wants to dance with and who finishes up with the best offer she can get

And the manager who made this once in a lifetime (for your lot anyway) achievement possible was rewarded with a statue outside the ground no doubt? Oh no, that's right you sackedf him the following year

LEICESTER FAN THINKS LEICESTER ARE BETTER, HULL FAN THINKS HULL ARE BETTER. WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN??????????? Oh I know, we're going to have page after page of the same argument over and over again. No one is winning this argument, you're all just looking like idiots.

It just doesn't matter at this level anymore, players go to the team with the most momentum or with the most dosh, they just don't care about that kind of thing anymore.

I won't. At this moment in time we're both on a similar footing. Like I said though, I don't care about arguing about it, and no one else wants to read it, so I'm leaving it there.
