Maybes Posted 5 August 2010 Posted 5 August 2010 bloody accountants I hope to see you at Palace kind sir.
Jackirius Posted 5 August 2010 Posted 5 August 2010 Not from what I've read. He will take a 49% stake in a deal which values the club at £39m. Therefore he will only be paying £19.11m Im not too sure but i think their was something earlier that said he(they) was(were) buying 49% know and then the 51% at the end of the season. But cant be arsed to quote it.
gazzer Posted 5 August 2010 Posted 5 August 2010 I hope to see you at Palace kind sir. if you let me know where you'll be beforehand for refreshments, you can count on it...
Guest Mee-9 Posted 5 August 2010 Posted 5 August 2010 THAI multi-millionaire Wichai Raksriaksorn is the man masterminding a £50million buy-out of Leicester City. The head of King Power Group, who made his fortune from duty free sales, will buy an initial 50 per cent stake in the club. But he plans to take full control from Milan Mandaric within the next 12 months. Owner Mandaric is set to stay on until Raksriaksorn completes the deal. A Foxes insider said: "The deal is agreed and is set to be announced at the home game against Middlesbrough on August 14." http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3083883/Leicester-City-deal-is-all-Thai-d-up.html wonder how all the people who slagged off the initial story now feel Are we worth 50m?!
Maybes Posted 5 August 2010 Posted 5 August 2010 if you let me know where you'll be beforehand for refreshments, you can count on it... Leicester sq most likely early doors then Spoons by Thornton Heath station closer to k.o

Libertine Posted 5 August 2010 Posted 5 August 2010 what makes the fox look so odd? i can't put my finger on it, is it the white nose or has that always been there? armchair fan alert Since the revision there's been white bits down the side of the face, but the whole of the lower part of the head looks white there.
Libertine Posted 5 August 2010 Posted 5 August 2010 **ARMCHAIR FAN ALERT*** What does yours look like? Mine is a nice slick brown leather piece. Gets the job done anyway.
Tilley Posted 5 August 2010 Posted 5 August 2010 What does yours look like? Mine is a nice slick brown leather piece. Gets the job done anyway. I used to have a leather one, got abit sticky during August, April and May. I have a delightful corner sofa I picked up in the never ending DFS sale.
Cheese Me Posted 5 August 2010 Posted 5 August 2010 Are we worth 50m?! No we definitely aren't. At least not as a business proposition - we make a loss, have very little in the way of concrete, owned assets and there's a high risk discount as any return would be completely dependent on us making the prem and staying there (which would probably also take further investment to achieve). All seems a bit strange unless you were going to gamble a really large sum to turn us into some kind of international 'brand' (which doesn't seem all that likely).
Ozwin Posted 5 August 2010 Posted 5 August 2010 We iz well gonna be massive in thaiworld innit All it takes is for us to sign some Thai player, give him a couple of sub appearances and we'll sell shirts by the ship load. We'll be rolling in it.
MPH Posted 6 August 2010 Posted 6 August 2010 Putting it on the table and inviting someone to photoshop that pic and change the big K at the top for a 4.... 4 king power has a certain ring to it...
Flynny Posted 6 August 2010 Posted 6 August 2010 Doesn't that valuation pretty much confirm that any finance Milan provided was in the form of loans rather than cash?
Alexikokopops Posted 6 August 2010 Posted 6 August 2010 I haven't read the last page or so, but before that every seems to be wildly speculating on what he's going to do to the club based on nothing but a photo, his nationality, and the fact that he has lots of ponies.
Guest ttfn Posted 6 August 2010 Posted 6 August 2010 Doesn't that valuation pretty much confirm that any finance Milan provided was in the form of loans rather than cash? How? The club would surely be valued higher if it was in the form of cash (i.e an asset)?

I know brilliant eh? Like Davie G says though...."It's not the disappointment that we can't take........ it's the hope." I'm actually liking this investment, it'll make for a good season - we'll worry about the 'fallout' next season - it's the same Leicester City roller coaster and although we're all on it and it's in motion to the top of the hill - the safety harnesses are yet to come down and lock us in - but that's okay, that's the Leicester City way.
Flynny Posted 6 August 2010 Posted 6 August 2010 How? The club would surely be valued higher if it was in the form of cash (i.e an asset)? No, the club's debt has to be paid for/bought as well. We're only £26 million in debt supposedly, much of that covers the stadium debt too I imagine. So where's the other £13 million coming from? Mandy got the club for peanuts, this valuation is insane.

Guest Bilo Posted 6 August 2010 Posted 6 August 2010 Perhaps the £50 million valuation, which seems ridiculously high, includes a commitment to take on the club's debt and will therefore see us own the stadium outright. £24 million for the club, £26 million for the debt makes £50 million. Just wildly speculating because £50 million would leave Milan laughing all the way to the bank.
MC Prussian Posted 6 August 2010 Posted 6 August 2010 Finally healthy food and a good selection of foreign beer in the turnstiles... Quite looking forward to coming to the Walkers now.
