Asian Consortium To Buy Out City

They said it was a takeover but Milan would stay at the top. Typical east mids news! You know less about a story after they report it.

They said he said it. Wouldn't shock me of they misquoted him though. East Midlands Today is bloody useless.

I wouldn't get overexcited over a single word. It's widely reported that it's 49% now and a full takeover eventually. It's probably nothing.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, that and when Ibbowhatshisface says something it's usually verbal diarrhea.

Just a thought here, (and in no way am i claiming this to come from a "source" connected to the club) but given the prevalence of foreign wealth funds investing into english football (i.e Man City and the supposed takeover of Liverpool by the Chinese Soveriegn Wealth fund) would there be any possibility of this malaysian consortium representing the malaysian soveriegn wealth fund??!

If so, it could be an incredible ride for LCFC fans, i Notice that bert has been hinting at significant wealth from the potential investors......food for thoughts perhaps??

As there seems to be confusion over whether they are Malaysian or Thais I wouldn't bother taking the time to think anything.

This is what I was going to say. If Liverpool are getting backing from the Chinese Goverment is it not possible the Malaysians (going back to Petronas I know its a long shot based on a comment by somebody on BBC 606) back us.

All this speculation is getting irritating now - nobody on here knows anything about whats going on and its just wasting electrons posting about it.

We are bound to be disappointed when it happens - nothing good seem to happen to us...

Sorry for being negative.

Nope, people speculating in this thread and the numerous DJ Cambell threads.

Vent your angst at them and leave the poor immigrants alone.

For some reason, we have this club from the Thai Premier League as an 'Affiliated Club' on the Wikipedia page. Not entirely sure why.
