The guy has lost almost everything he had when he was with us, we'll be buying a completely different player and I'm not even sure if he could effect games as much as Steve Howard, and thats saying something.

But Bruno N'G's face is bloody huge. I've Lasooed it now and it has it's own layer. How do i shrink it to fit the Heskey/originally Dany N'G body?! Hope that makes sense

The problem is that Olivera didnt mention Heskey. He was asked whether we'd be interested in him and he didnt say yes and he didnt say no. Then all of a sudden the papers are saying that we want him. I pray to god that someone makes it clear to the powers that be how much the supporters would welcome this. Yes, there are some who think it would be a bad idea, but they are the minority. Are you completely nuts? Fine you can argue that he risks losing legend status, but to argue he would not be a massive improvement to the team is just actually completely stupid. Beyond stupid.

Steve Howard does my nut in, but I just don't see Heskey having such a bigger effect to warrent the amount we'll have to pay for him. He isn't the player he was, we'll be wasting half our transfer budget on him, Akinbiyi mark II I guarantee.

Ok, if we do re-sign him, we are taking a big risk but like Steve, he is a trier and don't we all like triers at our football club. So let's get off his back for goodness, he is a Leicester lad, born and bred, so if he comes back - welcome home Bruno...

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but I find it hard to see how a player who has played at the top flight for pretty much all of his career and has been one of the most important players for England in the last 10 years (like it or not) can be described by a phrase originally used for Kevin Frances. Heskey may not the most elegant and for his size he certainly does go down more than he should, but his quality in undeniable and the fact that Liverpool paid £11m pounds for his services in his pomp proves that. Form is temporary. Class is permanant.
Simmo86 Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 It is a gamble thats for sure. Im just not sure his ability has dropped as much as everyone thinks. Still think he will cause a lot of problems in this league and im struggling to think who else there is out there for us to fill this role.
