exmoor fox Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 Emile Heskey is a clown. How many copies of the sun did you read before you came to that conclusion! Have you ever seem him play live? His game was never about being an out and out goal scorer
HankMarvin Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 LEICESTER could swoop for Emile Heskey after the club's new owners made £10million available to manager Paulo Sousa. City were taken over by Thai businessman Vichai Raksriaksorn last week and he wants a big-name buy to boost the club's push for promotion. Signing the Aston Villa striker would mean smashing City's wage structure. But Foxes No 2 Bruno Oliveira admitted the arrival of such a player would send a message to the Championship to match that of Craig Bellamy's move to Cardiff. Oliveira refused to dismiss making a bid for Heskey, who began his career with Leicester. He said: "It would make a big impact. "Craig Bellamy was an opportunity that Dave Jones took." in the sun
Corky Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 If that is true I don't want our wage structure being smashed. Could lead to all sorts of problems.
Edmund Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 Why the fook did the new owners disclose how much are transfer budget will be? A great way to drive up prices and wages.

Joe. Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Haha. Heskey compared to Bellamy, priceless. Would still love it though, come home Emile lad.
teblin Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Heskey would be a great signing for anyone at at the level and even a lower prem club. Too many peoplr joining the heskeys crap band wagon. He was englands best player againts the usa in the world cup. He holds the ball well, creates for others still fairly mobile and i believe he could score goals at this level. He would be perfect fot the loan striker role.
FrankieADZ Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 i wouldnt mind seeing Emile back, but I really cant see it happening, Cant we go for Carew instead

In spells yesyerday in the villa game he showed a great turn of pace and also showed some good close ball control. I dont know how near or far away a deal could be to bring him in on loan but i think the vast majority of championship clubs would take him in a heartbeat given the chance-except maybe cardiff!
MC Prussian Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Back to the roots? If he'd want to do his hometown and the club that gave him the first taste of Premier League football a favour, he'd play for free (or virtually nothing). He's said to have a fortune of a few million £, so why bother playing for money when you already have enough of it? I think he could still cut it at Championship level, although I wonder about the lack of pace - after all, he's already 32. Would certainly be quite the marketing coup and could lead to all sorts of positive scenarios in the near future - ticket sales could definitely profit.
Dames Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 He may not be as good as Bellamy but the impact he'd have just joining the club would be the same impact Bellamy has had at Cardiff. It would be a massive boost for everyone. Just over a year ago Heskey was giving defenders at international level all sorts of problems. As much as i like Big Steve, Emile is an improvement in every department.
Collymore Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 I cant understand the people who wouldn't want him. Capello rated him a head of Crouch only a few months ago. Yeah what a waste of space he is.... not
Ric Flair Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 I dunno. If Sousa rates Big Steve as his no.1 striker, where does that leave Fryatt and DJ if Heskey came in? Plus a combo of Steve and Emile is hardly the foundations of a fluid style of football. I hope this blows over really.
haraven Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Emile Heskey is a clown. Then you're a Mime - and everyone would rather stick with the clowns. Seriously - Emile Heskey coming back to us would be tremendous. I am tired of people moaning about his England performances, tbf he was one of the better players England had during the world cup - and his game is not about scoring the goals, but about making it happen for the team. A true gentleman, Leicester born and bred, a rare solid team player - our own - bring Heskey back if we can!

Not sure that heskey and howard would play as a pair, as I think in the long run we'd be playing only one central striker.
Alexikokopops Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 that's the thing though, nobody 'gets it'. I don't know how many more dismal seasons it'll take before people 'get it'. People are stuck in a timewarp and think it's still 1997 when this guy was actually good. People will only 'get it' if he does sign for us and they watch him play and see the reality. I know full well he could be a bag of shit. However, I just want a front line of Heskey and Ormondroyd.
Alexikokopops Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 dandanieldanok - SHUT THE FUCK UP. I'm not sure how he's going to feel when he sees this! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3103928/Leicester-want-Emile-Heskey.html
wigstonexile Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Let us keep the memories we have of Emile Heskey when he was young and improving. He was good in the team that we had then. LCFC has moved on we have a different manager a different style of play so would he fit in?? Also I don't think players should go back to previous clubs, it rarely works and both the player and fans become dissalusioned. I hope we get players in that will add something different to the squad and will not disrupt the dressing room. I don't care if if LCFC do not sign a "big" name. I think with this squad along with the young fringe players we can be challanging for a play off spot if not automatic promotion!!!!!!
Ashley Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 I would love to see Emile back here, personally I think his heart would be in it more playing back for his home town and supported club. I said to a friend after the world cup had finished watch Heskey retire from international football then come back to Leicester
h1210 Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 This can't happen, how will we be able to deal with two Bruno's?
