Suffolk_fox Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 Hardly. They're shipping them back to their country of origin by their hundreds - not gassing them by their millions. They are not contributing to the country, I think we should have the same policy here. Do not come here unless you can support yourself and contribute in taxes to society. Most of the Big Issue sellers in Ipswich are now Eastern Europeans. What gives them the right to come here unless they can support themselves??

Yeah but the Nazis deported Jews first before they gassed them. Not only that but the French were complicit in that through the Vichy government. Furthermore this is actually against EU law, and their law about 3 month work permits is too. We are very lucky to have (almost) complete freedom of movement in the EU, and I don't think enough people realise this who come out with opinions like yours. And how is selling the big issue not supporting yourself? If they are homeless what would you rather they did, beg or sell the big issue? Also the Roma are an already much victimised and discriminated group in Eastern Europe, the last thing that we want is to encourage some of their more dubious nationality laws and right wing parties by letting the so-called more civilised/advanced countries of the union get away with blatant victimisation. At the end of the day, Sarko's argument for why he is doing it is about crime. How is sending a few hundred roma back to the country they have residency going to cut crime? It is just old fashioned scapegoating just like the Nazis!
Rincewind Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 At least the gypsies will be away from the smell of onions.
Master Fox Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 sounds reminicent of a bygone nazi era if you ask me. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-11020429 It sounds like revolutionary decision with a step further to making their country into a gypo free utopia. It’s a huge shame we couldn’t do such a wonderful thing here in the UK because we would have to expel half of the population.

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Shame we don't do the same here, with immigrants who don't contribute to this countries well being.Unfortunately we have nowhere to send our own native people.
Zingari Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 How long are we going to let them do this? don,t worry i'm putting a gipsy curse on them right now they'll all be stinkin of garlic and making haw haw noises within a week

Zingari Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 If those Crystal Balls were as good as they say they would've seen this coming. they obviously haven't got the prescience of mind that they believe they have

Ford Super Sunday Posted 11 September 2010 Posted 11 September 2010 But at the end of the day, they're gypsies not jews. But at the end of the day, over 250,000 Gypsies were killed in the holocaust, not just jews Such ignorance
FoxyPV Posted 11 September 2010 Posted 11 September 2010 But at the end of the day, they're gypsies not jews. That's scary.
DB11 Posted 11 September 2010 Posted 11 September 2010 But at the end of the day, over 250,000 Gypsies were killed in the holocaust, not just jews Such ignorance I know; I studied it at A Level. I was saying it tongue in cheek!

I agree, there are quite alot around the south of East Anglia, there's been quite a bit in the news about them, how they are illegally camping and causing alot of mess and violence around the area they are in.

It is just old fashioned scapegoating just like the Nazis! Are you trying to defend the gypsies or to make a case for getting out of the EU and its laws? Can you also tell me how the Romanies are discriminated against? When I was in Bulgaria there seemed to be considerable effort being made to ensure they had employment opportunities while, here, I'd sure like the planning authorities to treat me with as much "discrimination" as they show the travellers. I actually admire the travellers in many ways because they stand their ground and refuse to be pushed around by those in so-called authority. The rest of us - Muslims excepted - just stand there being victims of whatever politicians want to whack us with next.
broughtonblue Posted 11 September 2010 Posted 11 September 2010 Mmmm, seems like the French have finally found their balls!

acooling08 Posted 14 September 2010 Posted 14 September 2010 Don't Gypsies travel around anyway? To be honest, this is a great idea. Who wants, needs, or gives a shit about the rights of gypsies??
Zingari Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 I think it's just awful how those that don't conform to our way of life are persecuted and demonised in this way . We should learn to tolerate and even embrace other cultures and lifestyles. The Romany are an ancient and proud culture that can teach us many things Just as long as they stay well away from my gaff ,we should all try and learn a little more tolerance towards them .
