Mee Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 These idiots are the reason why the 'kop' is no longer 'the kop'. Fuck off to the West Stand. Morons. Not all of us are like that mate. I really hope the people who declared this will be able to see that the minority of complaints are out weighed by positive feedback. I really hope this group takes off. Best of luck to your guys, i will be emailing in backing you later.

Far Post Gerry Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Bilo, spot on mate; some of our fans are massive ****s. What's happened to this club since we left Filbo?? I don't ever remember anyone booing us down there, no matter how shite we played (and I remember seeing some fooking guff!). I'm living in Asia now, but i try to get to a few games a year. What the Fosse Boys are doing sounds superb; bringing some of the Filbo spirit to the soulless Walkers. Boys, I salute you! I don't know if it's ****ish epidemic that infecting English football, or if it's just City, but something's massively wrong if we can't SUPPORT out team in the ol', old fashioned way. Keep it going Fosse Boys; you're the future heart and soul of this club.

There's a lot who contribute positively, but this proves (if proof was needed) there's a lot there who aren't.
ian_marshall Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Here's an idea for the Fosse Boys. Get yourselves down to the Market and buy lots and lots of thick foam. Cut it to roughly the size of the seats at the walkers and then glue multiple layers until you have a foam pad approximately 3 feet high. Take this to the game against reading and sit on it. As it is so big you'll almost be standing but effectively you are seated. If the club then complains you'll have grounds to counter them based on the fact that the club themselves sell foam seat pads to improve the comfort of the experience. To the best of my knowledge padded cushions aren't banned from the stadium, and worst case scenario if they confiscate your custom cushions you could buy multiples of the official club shop ones and just stack them up on top of each other. I know it sounds crazy but I'd like to see how they object without discriminating against you guys seeing as others are allowed to take the seat pads inside the stadium.
Simmo86 Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Email Sent, my grasp of the english language isnt as good as some on here but hope it helps! To whom it may concern, It has recently come to my attention that the club has taken the agggresive stance of threatening to ban the Fosse Boys from the Ground, due to 22 complaints from fellow supporters for being too noisy. What a ridiculous way to handle this situation and further evidence that the club is alienating its hardcore following. You as a club constantly seem to be clamping down on any attempts to improve the non-exsistent atmosphere at the Walkers Stadium, despite saying in statements on the official site citing you want a partizan atmosphere?? We also have the Birch on the PA before every game telling to get behind the lads and become the 12th man! How is this meant to happen when you want everybody to sit in slience?? To see the 'Kop' awakened by the Fosse Boys during the Middlesborough game was a great sight, which also received many positive comments outside the ground. Yet you act upon the comments of 22 individuals in a stand of thousands!!! Im beginning to think that our club is run by complete idiots who cant relate to your average fan! Supporters like the Fosse Boys will be the supporters who will stick with the club during the tough times while the families you pander to have no intention of putting money into the club. Great business sense there! While other FORWARD thinking clubs praise there hardcore following and do everything to keep them coming to the games, Leicester's backward outlook is getting them nowhere! An attendance of 21,587 in our opening league game shows our support is declining at a serious rate! Hopefully the will club review its policies before its to late and we dont end up playing in front of a half full stadium week in week out. Noise at a football match is not a crime its the NORM! I am disgusted at what my club is turning into and believe me the 'matchday experience' is wearing thin for many others. Yours sincerely Tom Simmonds FOSSE BOYS please get to the Reading game, sit down and sing! Show the club you wont be beaten.
Ultra Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 As an SK1 season ticket holder myself (from the day the stadium opened 8 years ago), I'm VERY concerned by what Fosse Boy has reported. I'll be looking into this further. If the Fosse Boys have been threatened with bans by anyone acting in the name of the club, then that person needs bringing to account.
Matt Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 I've not really read much or got involved too much in the Fosse Boys thread - TBH I never even knew about it until about 3 or 4 weeks ago when opened the thread about found about 80 odd pages on it, but this has wound me up, The club simply just don't want an atmosphere at our stadium do they?! I've sent me e-mail in support to the pathetic suits at 'our' football club. Also I suggest these people who have compained the Fosse Boys are 'too noise' go to watch the Cricket or Rugby (Although that looks quite loud and abit more roudy support now...not much but better than before) or other quieter sports.
Corky Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 I'm pretty impressed and overwhelmed at the level of support the group has received in such a small space of time since this thread was created. We sympathise with you Sam, you're trying your best to create some sort of atmosphere but some don't want it. Do you reckon they do it just to annoy? How you can complain about noise at a football ground is beyond belief. I hope common sense prevails and you can carry on, because the place desperately needs an atmosphere and I believe you can enhance that opportunity, as I said in my e-mail.
JmorsonLCFC Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 I was in SK1 for the Middlesbrough game and thought the Fosse Boys added a really good atmosphere to the stadium. I was one of those singing 'Stand up for the Leicester fans' or whatever it was. To be honest I'm disgusted at how Leicester fans have been treated this season and I'm writing my letter as we speak
lcfc_jme Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Glad to see so many people on here have been outraged by the club's nonsensical, pathetic stance on things, though I can't say I'm suprised there have been complaints about the noise - that's the state of football these days, really. Not sure whether to send in an email myself boys 'cos as most of you know, the powers that be within the club don't exactly like me. I'll spread the word about the threats and get you a little more support, though. Every little helps, and all? Oh, and for what it's worth, the sitting down and making even more noise against Reading proposal championed by a few on here is a better idea than keeping the group away. Maybe with a banner with some sort of protest message emblazoned on it?
JmorsonLCFC Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Right it's sent. Rant over! To whomever this concerns, On the recent Foxestalk forum I have saw that the club are threatening our fellow supporters the 'Fosse Boys' into being ejected from the groud because of a few complains stating that they were too noisy. This, in my opinion is pathetic. This is the reason why The Walkers Stadium is becoming more and more quiet and known as a 'library' with away fans making more noise than us. I also feel the current standards of the way supporters are being treated are slipping at Leicester City Football Club. The 21000 crowd against Middlesbrough surely is a reason to lower ticket prices? It was £20 for a concession on the day of the game, that is disgusting, Costing a family of 5 with three kids and two adults way over £100 for a football match. All the fosse boys are trying to do is create an atmosphere in an otherwise 'dead' stadium, and the club is not letting them do that. You think people are going to turn up Saturday against Reading when it's on television with probably more atmosphere in their living room? No didn't think so. I think it's time you listened to what the fans want. Yours sincerly,
Stand UP... Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Well this ruined my day at work when i heard about this. Furious does not some my feelings up.   I dont believe 22 people did complain, more then likely stewards being arseholes as per normal. This club discusts me which i hate to say as i have followed them since i was 11 or so. The whole point in football is going for a beer, singing your heart out and standing proud supporting your team...well it used to be anyway. Same old nanny culture/hide behind health and safety regulations just angers people and causes more problems which is why people rebel against such noncence. Well they have lost 2 supporters in this myself and poakey and hope many more follow because its the only thing that will make these bunch of idiots take notice. I will be behind the fosse boys all the way but i cant stand going to watch them with people like this running the club rejecting real fans. I have sent an email also to them stating exactly what i think about this farce. And if there was 22 people that complained...wtf are you doing in the kop!

Very commendable and perhaps you could look into the state and the stench of the council-run toilets at the market while you're at it cos if they're not a health hazard I don't know what is. Careful with the trousers though!!
Guest Bilo Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Gunna make up some stuff supporting you guys. A photoshopped Fosse Boys logo with the fox holding a finger to his mouth would be class.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Just got off the phone with someone who is in contact with us and the club, apparently the emails have been pissing the club off no end, and they asked me to tell you not to continue emailing as that email is just for official complaints. They also referred to you all as kids. They said they are going to get a seperate email address for people to email their support too, so it will be easier for them to ignore i guess. By not taking these emails as serious complaints and asuming you are all children it feels like the club are just trying to ignore what is right infront of them. Jobber has also been on the phone after a mercury reporter phoned him up, they asked him if he was in favour of the Fosse Boys and he told the reporter he was backing us etc etc but then the reporter asked him where abouts he sits in the ground... so i'm guessing he doesnt know that much about fans down Filber Way so some other random stuff might get printed. It's up to the Club now, lets see what they are gunna say

It's hardly a case for Magnum PI though is it? We may think the club are being cunts or practicing double standards, but they're well within their right to say 'if you don't sit down then we could throw you out'. Sit down, sing your hearts out, wave your scarves, sit in your boxers, wear fake moustaches, get some t-shirts made... Whether you have Magnum PI on your side or not, there's not a lot you can do about the club's stance - so play up to it instead of playing into their hands.

It's been said a hundred times before, but L1 had this exact same problem till Barclay was told to leave L1 alone. The attitude of 'do as your told when your told' will get us no where we have to fight for this, and that is what we will do

LCFC-ARAB Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 By not attending? We are attending, most of us are season ticket holders we just wont have our group banner and we wont be sitting at the back of SK1
Dannorton Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Join "support the fosse boys" on facebook and lets make sure they can show support to the club like the rest of us
Simmo86 Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 We are attending, most of us are season ticket holders we just wont have our group banner and we wont be sitting at the back of SK1 Surely that is giving in to the clubs wishes tho? Go sit down and sing, show them you wont be bullied
whitlock Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Dear to whom this ever concerns. How ridiculous of the club to consider ejecting the small minority of fans that are trying to create some noise within our lacklustre atmospheric stadium. The kop is one of the small sections of the stadium that is generally trying to create an atmosphere at the games. These morons that have complained should be ejected for being mind bent on trying to ruin football. If you want to sit not sing then thats fine, dont sit in the kop. You wouldnt sit in Anfield kop wanting to sit down and drink brovril all game in peace and quiet. Dont sit there. The complaints will more than likely be OAPS or snobs that look at the Fosse boys and identify them as trouble makers. Made any trouble? Caused any damage? Our club is becoming a joke. Attendance for the opening game says it all. Sort it out you morons
Houdini Logic Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 We are attending, most of us are season ticket holders we just wont have our group banner and we wont be sitting at the back of SK1 I meant the Fosse Boys as a collective and deep down I'm sure you knew that I think you're going about this the wrong way, but I recognise that's just my opinion. I'd sit in your group and make as much of a nuisance as I could within the rules until the club decided to talk and play ball
