FrankieADZ Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Ok, so it was Logan's fault we let in the goals; was a mistake by Moreno for the first and poor defending for the 2nd <_< In my view, I thought Logan did all right, when he was called upon he did his job, and stood no chance with the goals.

WASNT!!! where were you today????
m00nie Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Ive never rated him... Always thought he was awful... Yes, one or 2 decent saves to stop a goal or 2.... But thats it... I really dont understand why him and Oakley were in the sqaud today, and why Neilson has been playing... Never rated the 3 of them so who should have been in goal ??
FrankieADZ Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 WASNT!!! where were you today???? Sorry that was a typo, WAS his mistake. I was behind the goal, feeling depressed btw, stupid touch typing
DB11 Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 He wasn't that bad I'd rate him in the top three performers for today!
Thracian Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Logan's block kept us in the game when Reading looked sure to add a second. He had no chance with the goal and was generally sound as could be.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 I thought Logan did ok today, maybe could have done better, but for the goals the defence were shite.
sdb Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 He was alright today, a top class keeper would've stopped both imo, but no-one's saying he's that. However, I think it's quite clear that he isn't a very good GK in general, and I don't feel comfortable with him between the sticks. Made 1 good block today but it was pretty much standard goalkeeping, made better by the fact that nobody expected it to be stopped.
Mee Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Moreno at fault for both goals. He's awful. I knew this pass it out of defence business would get us in trouble. I couldn't make it today, but at Burnley I counted 8-10 passes just to get to the half way line.
wurmer Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Logan was OK today - little he could do about the goals, totally the defences fault.
GTIF Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 I coach 'keepers to a high standard here in Ireland. Being VERY harsh I would say Logan could have done better with the first goal. The player had to control the ball slight;y behind him, which gave Logan time to be right on him when he had it under control, and also he could have stayed on his feet longer, but that is being harsh, the main fault was Morenos. The second goal was right over his head but went past him that fast he had no chance to react, if he saved that everyone would be forgetting Bank's save from Pele and recalling Logans stop. For me one interesting thing is he has never apparently been capped for Ireland at any level, which is kind of surprising as most players who get to England have been capped at some schoolboy/underage level. He is a decent 'keeper overall but I would like to see him attack the ball more when it is in the air. His starting position, when we are are on the attack, is excellent far better than Weales, he makes collecting through balls look easy because he starts in such a good position. Would I sign another 'keeper ahed of him, probably yes there are better out there. Would I drop him when Weale is fit, not in a million years.
Fosse Boy Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 HEY HEY KIDS! Seriously, if you're gonna blame a geezer who's hardly played regularly at this level for the best part of three years but is doing his best to step into Weale's shoes for today's goals, then please feel free to shut up and not voice your opinion again. Thank you kindly.
bigneville Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Conrad Logan has a decent game today. Wasn't at fault for either goal, and couldn't really do much better. The question you ask yourself is would Chris Weale have saved either goal.
lcfcsnow Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 The question you ask yourself is would Chris Weale have saved either goal. Chris Weale wouldn't have rushed out as quickly and saved us from the one on one, thats for sure. Both our keepers are poor.
shiv Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Everyone moaning about Logan should shut the fook up and start talking about the real problems in our team - defence and attack.
Jimothy Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Logan didn't have a bad game. I reckon Weale would have saved the header but apart from that i thought he was solid. I just hope Moreno can pass it to someone in a blue shirt in the next game I hope he doesn't. We've got Coventry away!
Fosse Boy Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Everyone moaning about Logan should shut the fook up and start talking about the real problems in our team - defence and attack. There's only one way to beat them, get round the back...
The Doctor Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Everyone moaning about Logan should shut the fook up and start talking about the real problems in our team - defence and attack. isn't logan part of the defence (GK = Last line of defence) but i agree he wasn't the major culprit today
shiv Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 isn't logan part of the defence (GK = Last line of defence) but i agree he wasn't the major culprit today Alright smart arse!
BoneDog Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Logan only made a couple of slight errors today, once on the backpass clearance when he booted the ball along the deck and once when he came for the ball down the left side of his box 2nd half but didn't get there in time and had to retreat back to his goal. I thought he did well overall and doesn't deserve any stick for what happened today. I've seen Logan play for us about 15 times and I think he's pretty sound.. He's doing better than David James at the moment anyways
nuttytimmy Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 He's doing better than David James at the moment anyways This
bigneville Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Bring back the clown. Much rather have Logan in goal, than Ikeme at the minute. He looks completely lost in the goal at times, and his kicking is awful. If Weale is out for much longer, then I'd rather see Conrad in goal than Carl.

Ikeme's kicks are aimless and he doesn't seem to capable of catching a ball. I don't see any redeeming quilities at the moment.
