Our corners barely clear the first man and very rarely lead to a chance, and also today, Reading got a goal from woeful set piece defence and had another free header in the first half. Work on it on the training ground please Anyone else hearing these fcking ****** on the radio?

Also wtf is with the zonal marking when defending corners that proved to be the pinnacle point today, Mills had acres of space, Pearson would man mark yet Sousa finds Zonal better ? Closing down is an issue to if you ask me

Well we can't defend them with all 11 in the box so what hope have we got with less Howard and Moreno were outjumped by Mills and there is absolutely no doubt it's because zonal marking allows the attacker to get a run on the ball . FFS, just grab the cvnts and don't let go!!!

Some managers prefer it so it must have some merit but I can't work out what it is. it's supposed to be so you don't lose sight of the man or the ball, where man-2-man marking can get you mixed up and running into your own players, zonal you stand there and defend, problem there is you get no momentum to jump so the attackers are most likely going to get the ball

So you'd believe that someone Cech or Van Der Sar would have saved it if they was in goal at that time? <_< For the speed of the header, I highly doubt it. I have to agree, I did find it a bit strange seeing everyone in the box, I'd have like to see some1 like Dyer pushed up, so we could have maybe counter attack if we had the chance.

It was completely Moreno's fault wtf was he doing messing about with the ball there? he is a liability at the back! why the hell did he drop Morrison?

Never mind that Liverpool had the best record for defending corners for the previous two seasons - never let the facts get in the way of a good argument. Man-marking fails dozens of times every week in the English leagues - just turn your TV on and see for yourself!

Make sure the 3 players you leave up have got a fair amount of pace though to hit them on the break with. Also when attacking corners, put the smallest man on the front post so he can flick it on or something after a poor corner.

You talk out your arse, big time! In no possible way, can you blame Conrad Logan for their second. The zonal marking was pathetic, but you've still got to head the bleeding ball out. Not one of the City players attempted to jump and get rid of the ball. Even if they had attempted to it was a cracking header from Mills and not many keepers in our league and probably some in the Prem couldn't of kept it out. Conrad has been cracking for me. He has been patient for so many years at this club and when called upon he has done the job needed. Against Leeds, Somma's header was unstoppable but also poor marking from Hobbs & Morrison because Somma was right in the middle of them. Then against Reading, nobody was marking Sigurdsson and he is not going to miss from six yards out and i've already mentioned Mills' goal. Use your eyes before commenting next time pal.
