Mack Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 He was on the pitch on Saturday helping with the warm ups but did'nt even make it onto the bench. What on earth is going on with him? I thought he had fallen out with Sousa and when he was toast Weale would come back in, I am confused.
Zingari Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 perhaps just decided to not rush him back shoulder injuries maybe pretty hard to assess
thurnbyfox Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 I'm sure Powell said that his shoulder wasn't 100% and they didn't want to risk him. I'd expect him to be back between the sticks against Hull.
kam6 Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 You would think that if he was out of favour with Sousa, he wouldnt play, but Powell and Stowell must rate him, but this must mean that he is still unfit and not to be risked
norfolkfox222 Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 Have can anyone in their right mind rate Ikelme over Weale??? He cant be 100% simple!
sdb Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 reply from my mate who knows CW (not very helpful), he said 'Chris is back now'. That either means in Yeovil (where he comes from) or in training. So if anyone knows he's been at the training ground the last few days, i'm assuming he's now fit and ready to go.
Corky Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 I hope he's back soon, his distribution isn't great but at least you know roughly who he's aiming for.
cc_star Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 Ending the loan deal of Ikelme and getting a loan signing of the standard of Márton Fülöp a couple of years ago, will probably one of Sven's priorities. Hopefully.
Narborough_fox Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 Ikeme played his last game against Scunny if I am right, and if I am, good riddance.
Jay Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 he was on the bench for the Pompey cup game so unless he had a setback after that I see no reason for him not to be in the squad. Ikeme is a seriously dodgy keeper everytime the ball rolls towards him to pick it up it looks like he could f**k it up! and one thing that really annoys me about keepers Ikeme is 24 years old which means he must have had at least 8years of full time coaching yet he still can't kick a ball in a straight line! what on earth do they do all day
Webbo Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 I seem to remember Fulops kicking was pretty terrible. Everybody wanted us to buy him.
Mack Posted 4 October 2010 Author Posted 4 October 2010 Fulop went to Ipswich I think. Still no clearer on Weale then, he was definitely on the pitch before the S****horpe game. Hope he plays down in Thailand.
Wymsey Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 Fulop went to Ipswich I think. Still no clearer on Weale then, he was definitely on the pitch before the S****horpe game. Hope he plays down in Thailand. He's still there.
Jay Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 I seem to remember Fulops kicking was pretty terrible. Everybody wanted us to buy him. my point is valid for most Keepers even Weales kicking is shocking on more than one occasion, surely kicking a ball for 20-30 minutes every day should enable you to kick it roughly in the direction you want it to go
Narborough_fox Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 Every 'Keeper I can remember has had terrible kicking. Alnwick's was the worst, the way he kicked it made it look like it hurt every time he did.
sdb Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 Stuart Taylor I seem to recall having massive kicking issues. As someone's already said...what do they do in training?!
okie fox Posted 5 October 2010 Posted 5 October 2010 Ikeme played his last game against Scunny if I am right, and if I am, good riddance. Ikeme's loan was extended until Oct 25
Mack Posted 5 October 2010 Author Posted 5 October 2010 Ikeme's loan was extended until Oct 25 Dont panic! Tord needs someone to polish his accordion!
Webbo Posted 5 October 2010 Posted 5 October 2010 Dont panic! Tord needs someone to polish his accordion! You can't polish a Tord.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 5 October 2010 Posted 5 October 2010 You can't polish a Tord. You can't polish a Tord, Tord polishes you.
Koke Posted 6 October 2010 Posted 6 October 2010 Ikeme's loan was extended until Oct 25 Fucks sake. I hope we send him back after that. The guy is a shocking keeper. He's due a complete howler any time soon. I hope Weale starts next game. If not, at least Logan is a lot more reliable than Ikeme. Horrible goal keeper.
ajthefox Posted 6 October 2010 Posted 6 October 2010 I don't think we need a new goalkeeper, seems to me like the experience is really helping Logan. He certainly didn't deserve to concede 6 at pompey, not by a long shot.
Father Ted Posted 6 October 2010 Posted 6 October 2010 Weale/Logan > ................................................ Ikeme Very harsh that Logan patiently sits on the bench all of last season as Weale's understudy and then when his chance comes, Sousa the twat brings in a loan goalkeeper! Ridiculous.
acooling08 Posted 6 October 2010 Posted 6 October 2010 I think the critisism of Ikeme is a bit harsh now. He was very good against Scunny.
