This is the same David Beckham that ENGLAND missed badly at the worldcup this summer.

His signing would be a marketing pieceof genius but he could also offer so much on the pitch in terms leadership and ability. Anyone else that thinks Beckham is past it at 36 needs tollok at the mans work ethic. He was still playing in Seria A last season and most Premiership teams would take him at the drop of a hat.

If Bert says theirs some legs in this story then that alone shows that the club has ambition!

He will never come here, we're the least exotic club in the world, we have no redeeming qualities for a star like David Beckham. He'd be better off going to Milan again or something.

Posters are saying that it won't happen. Beckham coming to LCFC, don't make me laugh!

But wouldn't we have said the same thing, 2 months ago if the rumour mill said Sven was going to be our manager in October?

The new owners mean business for sure, so let's not rule it out.

Also let's not forget the guy that has actually made all of this happen.......Milan the man!

Over 100 photographers etc from the worlds press, will be at tomorrows game according to BBC Midlands Sports News tonight.

Losing tomorrow is just unthinkable, we will be laughing stock if we do lose..........but we won't will we???

I think everyone realised Sven had a price when he turned up at County.

Wouldn't happen with Becks.

So Beckham going to the MLS had nothing to do with the money involved? Everyone has a price....

Nah mate.

I'm not saying it's 100% going to happen, but they're trying to sort a deal out. Also, would Beckham want to come here? Could be very exciting, but don't get your hopes up.

Oh I know he wouldn't want to come there, there's no point. But the fact that our owners are even trying shit like this encourages me!

Yes as well as the American lifestyle.

What do we have? Not a lot.

Being the "least exotic" might go in our favour.....not far from london and his home. And he might want a bit of a challenge....not as if he needs the money.....we'll see :giggle:

When I read Bert's email I literally choked.

If this was to happen, I can't even imagine how quickly i'd drive to the club shop to get a shirt with Becks' name on the back.

The man is a class act on and off the pitch and would improve team morale, the atmosphere in the stadium and would send that message that all Leicester fans have been waiting for.

WE ARE LEICESTER AND WE MEAN fooking BUSINESS

Man I for one would buy a home and away Beckham shirt! Would be amazing! Cant believe we are even being mentioned in the same sentence and actually inquiring!

The benefits of bringing Beckham to the club certainly out weigh the negatives. He always trains hard and gives 100%, he may not have pace but he never did, yet has done just fine without it. His technical ability is still up there with some of the best players in the world IMO.

He would give the whole team a lift and really help the younger players in the squad. We need this kind of player who can deliver a quality ball into the box, you never know we may actually score from a corner afterall.

I don't think the Thais can match that price. Besides, Victoria wanted Hollywood (but Hollywood did not want her).

I can't see Beckham leaving the MLS. When he signed with LA he was given a 3 year contract worth 6.5 million dollars american in base pay per year not including endorsements and whatever else he makes money off of. Along with his contract with MLS and the LA Galaxy Beckham was given the option to purchase and own a MLS team in the future. I dont see Beckham leaving America, he will want to start to build on owning his own team with the league itself growing in popularity and expanding (2 new teams joining next season vancouver and portland). If he does continue to play it will be with the Galaxy, like people have mentioned he is a hard worker and "gentleman" of the game the LA fans feel as if he owes them with his constant loan deals out of the MLS to Milan. With his future in the England squad looking like its done I dont see him leaving the MLS again to try and get competitive football somewhere else in order to challenge for a spot with England. The fact that he has only played 48 competitive games for the Galaxy in 3 years is something himself he would say is not right. With two regular season games left the Galaxy sit 1st overall in the MLS table and have qualified for the playoff's meaning the season wont be done untill late novemeber.

I would love to see beckham back in england and with leicester that would be awesome! if does come true i personally believe it will only be a short term loan deal maybe in the January window. But eventually he would make his way back to LA and the MLS.

I can well believe an enquiry could/have been made, however I don't think think this will happen. He has stated many times in the past he would never play for another English team again. West Ham, Spurs and others have made enquiries in the past but hes turned them down. I think Becks will play for other teams but in Europe or Australia even Asia to promote brand Beckham. He has nothing to prove by coming to Leicester.
