Conscript Fox Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 Being Linked http://foot.ie/threads/131046-Greg-Cunningham/page4 has already mabe ROI senior debut and looks decent.
Collier Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 Never heard of him, fingers crossed he's better than the last Man City loanee, hard to be much worse though, in honesty.
Conscript Fox Posted 21 October 2010 Author Posted 21 October 2010 He would have been only about 16 in Svens time at Man City, but shone in the academy there. Id be happy to see this one happen except he may be a bit slight for the indusrial style football of the npower league. Trappatoni has been frustratingly slow to give youth a shot as Irish manager but he has capped this guy in friendlies and is established in the senior squad now,
Joe. Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 IanStringerBBC Ian Stringer Greg Cunningham has signed for Leicester City on loan from Manchester City until January - 19 year old Irish international left back.
Wymsey Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 IanStringerBBC Ian Stringer Greg Cunningham has signed for Leicester City on loan from Manchester City until January - 19 year old Irish international left back. Three left backs with two good standard ones on here. Is it necessary?
Ford Super Sunday Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 I still have mental scars from the last Left-Back we got from Man City, so here's hoping he's 1,000,000% better than McGivern.
Tilley Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 Hope he's better than McGivern, although that wouldn't be too difficult.
lcfcsnow Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 Thats our last loan move then? Would have thought a striker or midfielder would be more important.
ousefox Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 Seems a bit pointless...Bruno is quality and Kennedy doesn't sound too bad either?
Houdini Logic Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 Thats our last loan move then? Would have thought a striker or midfielder would be more important. See 'Loan Move Whats the Situation?' Thread
crazylegs1984 Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 I still have mental scars from the last Left-Back we got from Man City, so here's hoping he's 1,000,000% better than McGivern. Won't be that hard
Webbo Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 OS Leicester City have signed Manchester City youngster, Greg Cunningham, on a loan deal until January. The talented left-back has been capped by his country, the Republic of Ireland and is a highly rated product of Manchester City's Academy. Cunningham, who is 19-years-old, is Sven-Goran Eriksson's fourth signing since becoming City's manager, following the captures of Kyle Naughton and Curtis Davies on loan, and the permanent signing of Darius Vassell. Republic of Ireland manager, Giovanni Trapattoni, named Cunningham in his squad for the friendly against Brazil earlier this year and Cunningham played against Algeria. Cunningham will be available for Saturday's npower Championship game against Swansea City.
Guest shearfox Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 I did feel we could have done with a right winger maybe. He does sound like a good player though.
Wymsey Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 He's also a left midfielder so there's someone to compete with Dyer in this position
Tommy G Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 Is this he last loan move we are allowed, surely not
rams r4 sh*ggin Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 maybe svens looking to use cunningham and naughton as pacey wing backs? both have bags of skill and pace. dont forget cunningham started life as a forward before converting to a defender so him getting forward could yeild a few extra goals???
ian_marshall Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 Looks like Vitor's heading home then, as Sven was apparently scouting Miller and talking to his agent yesterday, so will need to free up a loan space.
Simmo86 Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 Is this he last loan move we are allowed, surely not Still allowed more. Only 5 in the matchday squad though
Jimmy Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 Looks like Vitor's heading home then, as Sven was apparently scouting Miller and talking to his agent yesterday, so will need to free up a loan space. the limit is only on domestic loans Vitor doesn't count, unless he's here to play left wing I don't understand why we signed him
Tommy G Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 Still allowed more. Only 5 in the matchday squad though Why are people fretting and telling Vitor to pack his bags? I thought it was 5 too
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 Never heard of him.. I am sure Sven knows him well from his time at Man City though. if he thinks he can do better than Berner then who are we to argue.
Fox You Forest Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 the limit is only on domestic loans Vitor doesn't count, unless he's here to play left wing I don't understand why we signed him Maybe he doesn't rate Kennedy and doesn't feel Bruno has two games a week in him over a sustained period, lets face it he isn't getting any younger or maybe he just thinks he's better than Bruno, could be a whole host of reasons.
LCFC_15 Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 Leicester City have just signed Gregg Cunningham from Manchester City on loan till January. Here's the link: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6458723,00.html What do you reckon people? Good Signing? Bad?
