Trav Le Bleu Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 How can it be anyone but Wise? A player with skill and experience who didn't try, didn't care and, worst of all, almost put the club out of existence. No contest really.
Callabinho Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 How can any of you forget Nickos Dabizas he was the worst defender ive ever laid eyes on. John Curtis Gillesbie Junior Lewis Seph Oakes Tricky Trev Lee Marshall Scott Gemmil Robbie Savage (Makes me seething angry when people say "I remember the days when Robbie Savage ruled your midfield") Alan Rodgers Alan Sheehan and many more
Petchy Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 How come no ones said Alan Rogers yet?! It's definitely between him, Kevin Pressman and Lee Morris! Edit: damn 2 mins to late!
Heskey2011 Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Frank Sinclair Trevor Benjamin Ade Akinbayi Shit how racist do i sound! ok erm... Dennis Wise was the biggest twat we ever had, but not the worst player I saw Frank Sinclair at a York City v Wrexham game at the old kit-cat crescent, called to him at half time next to the tunnel, offered him my hand and then called him a dick head, he said fook off four eyes which is a good come back to be fair, Still he was rubbish second half, i'm sure he must have got paid that season we got relegated after, was it, two own goals in last 2/3 games denying us crucial points. Franks my number 1 most hated city player but not far behind is Paul Dickov.... i know people say he did well for us but i can't forget that dive for blackburn in the cup against us, he then took the pen, scored and celebrated in front of the city fans.. at Ewood park...****
muzzieizzet Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Ade Akinbayi..... Also DJ Cambell if your talking price for performance.
Heskey2011 Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 For me Tony Spearing and Rob Johnson were shocking footballers. Kalac, Fatty Pressman And Martin Hodge were all piss poor keepers. Nicky Mohan deserves a shout too for crapness. Frank Sinclair was a great player for us. I suspect the chap who put him down never actually saw him play. Was a beast of a man when in his pomp. Don't let the og's paint a different picture. No way mate Frank was garbage for us, may have been good a chelsea but not for City he almost single-handedly got us relegated, and don't forget that he led our boys a-stray in la malaga, the words 'ring leader' where mentioned
Trav Le Bleu Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Michael trotter or joe hammil. Ade was no where near the worst id seen big trev was actually worse just cost less cash. I sometimes work with Mick Trotter, he's now a relief manager for the Royal Mail. TBH, I can't remember him ever playing for us.
teblin Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 I sometimes work with Mick Trotter, he's now a relief manager for the Royal Mail. TBH, I can't remember him ever playing for us. Think he only played a couple of games. Just so out of his depth it would've been like me playing in the centre of midfield for city.
Heskey2011 Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 I sometimes work with Mick Trotter, he's now a relief manager for the Royal Mail. TBH, I can't remember him ever playing for us. I don't remember him either but check this out.. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sporting Digest: Football Thursday, 20 January 1994SHARE PRINTEMAILTEXT SIZE NORMALLARGEEXTRA LARGE ROMARIO, Barcelona's Brazilian international striker, has been suspended for four matches for punching the Argentine international, Diego Simeone, during the Spanish League match at Seville last weekend. Zingari Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Martin Henderson or Roger Davies i thought he was pretty ok alongside alan young
Finnegan Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Does he count as being Welsh? NO!!! Also I think it says a lot about our ideas of a "cult hero" the amount of people that appear in both threads...
Guest Bilo Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Josh Low was well out of his depth. Save for his screamer against Luton, Gary Coatsworth was no great shakes. Akinbadbuyi takes the biscuit though. Can't believe we paid £5m for him, Wolves must have pissing themselves.
Zingari Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Billy Hughes was a disgrace when he played for us . he threw up on the pitch during a match and it was rumoured to be the result of a heavy friday night's drinking session
SarbannesFoxley Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Lawrie Madden, together with Allan Evans they would of been a central defensive pair of 'asthmatic ants, with a bag of heavy shopping'.
Corky Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Junior Lewis. I still can't believe he was a professional footballer.
Master Fox Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Alan Maybury or Josh Low. I actually remember Josh Low being cheered when it was announced he was coming off at half time, he was THAT bad. I remember that. Same thing happened to Maybury, i think more than once. Those were the days! Jesus we've had some shit players.
SarbannesFoxley Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 My 'has beens and never will be's' 11: Pressman Tony Spearing Lawrie Madden Tony James Robbie Neilsen - to me just plain poo Andy Johnson Junior Lewis Josh Low Ricky Hill Elvis Hammond Phil Gee (him plus sticks + 800k for Kitson = worse deal ever)
Master Fox Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Steven Hughes Gareth Williams Peter Canero Enough said. some real gems in this thread totally forgot about some of these players. It's actually quite funny
Corky Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Bloody hell, reading through this thread really does bring back memories of some of the crap we've had the misfortune of watching in the blue shirt.
paddy Agyemang Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Oakley ...... realistically atm is oakley, but worst ever is kermorgant and there is no way u can ask me why beacuse of the trouble he caused (cost us the dream we all wanted)
evs_the_fox Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Lee Marshall was crap but I could never get on his back in the same way a lot of the crowd did. His effort was there and you could see he wanted to be better... he just didn't have it in him! We profited on him too - something we failed to do with a lot of the shite that's played for us. Also, after Googling him I see he had to retire in 2005 at 26 years old due to a broken tibia and fibula so I still can't bring myself to slate him too much. There's been players that I've almost hated playing for us but he wasn't one of them.
Ross-Kemp Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Alan maybury. Nills eric johannsson. Patrick geerbrand. Paddy kisnorbo when he played centre mid
