bettso Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 Zjelko Kalac Tony Spearing Brian Carey Jacob Laursen Robbie Nielson Lee Marshall Dennis Wise Junior Lewis Josh Low Ade Akinbyi Nathan Blake
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 Not bad, but you have had a shocker with Tony James, good defender whose career was ruined by injury. I too have had a shocker posting twice above, now this makes 3! Damn you technology! May as well add scary Carey and Nicky Mohan to the list while I am here. Norman Leet anyone? I remember asking him for his autograph when I was about 11, he refused
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 Only one person has mentioned Kalac so far. Unbelievable. http://bentleysroof.magnify.net/video/Kalac-mpg-2 Kalac being so bad was made even worse by the fact we looked forward to his arrival for what seemed like ages, and when he got here oh dear WBA on the tv Bolton in the cup truly awful.
????? Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 tommy wright jnr arnar gunnlaugsson stefan moore rufus brevett junior lewis jon stevenson ade i got a £500,000 signing on fee akinbye
Asherz Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 least we can say kalac went onto play for one of the best teams in europe and actually holds onto the number 1 jersey keeping out the brazilian number one!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 Bloody hell, Jacob Laursen and Rufus Brevett, it's only when you see some of these names written own that you realise how many flops we've had play for us.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 least we can say kalac went onto play for one of the best teams in europe and actually holds onto the number 1 jersey keeping out the brazilian number one! Kept hold of the number one jersey?! What are you on about, thirty odd games for Milan over five years hardly indicates he was the first name on the team sheet, it's pretty much always been Dida or Abiatti (when he's not been out on loan) ahead of him.
ajthefox Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 tommy wright jnr arnar gunnlaugsson stefan moore rufus brevett junior lewis jon stevenson ade i got a £500,000 signing on fee akinbye Disagree with that. There are a good few strikers since Gunnlaugsson who have contributed much less.
Cropwellfox Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 For me Tony Spearing and Rob Johnson were shocking footballers. Kalac, Fatty Pressman And Martin Hodge were all piss poor keepers. Nicky Mohan deserves a shout too for crapness. Frank Sinclair was a great player for us. I suspect the chap who put him down never actually saw him play. Was a beast of a man when in his pomp. Don't let the og's paint a different picture. Rob Johnson deserves more than one mention on this thread. He was so bad that Tony Spearing and Alan Paris kept him out of the team for much of his 2 years at LCFC - and somehow he'd played in Luton's League Cup Winning team v Arsenal just 12 months before he joined us. For what it's worth, my XI (at the point in their career when they played for us) since'84 reads Martin Hodge Rob Johnson Allan Evans Laurie Madden Tony Spearing Josh Low Junior Lewis Jason Jarrett Joe Hamill Nathan Blake Elvis Hammond
Kitchandro Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 How can any of you forget Nickos Dabizas he was the worst defender ive ever laid eyes on. John Curtis Gillesbie Junior Lewis Seph Oakes Tricky Trev Lee Marshall Scott Gemmil Robbie Savage (Makes me seething angry when people say "I remember the days when Robbie Savage ruled your midfield") Alan Rodgers Alan Sheehan and many more People actually say this?!
Kitchandro Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 Two people I can't believe have been mentioned are Phil Gee and Barry Hayles. Ridiculous. Even Akinbuyi is a bit of a harsh one. He did try and lets not forget he was playing in the Premiership, we have had worse players who played at a lower level and didn't cost £5 million so they don't stand out as much. I hated the era between 2005-08, so many crap players who just didn't want to play for us. I have to say even though he is not our worst player ever, I hate Yann Kermorgant more than any other Leicester player, for obvious reasons.
The Doctor Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 rufus brevett, junior lewis, scot gemmill, martin keown, elvis hammond, dave martin, josh low, joe hammill, jason jarrett, luigi glombard, chris makin, john curtis, jason wilcox (though he was injured for quite a bit so harsh to put him on there), kevin pressman, trevor benjiman, hossein kaebi, casino jimmy, sergio hellings, zslot laczko, gabor bori, bruno n'gotty, ryan mcgivern, nathan blake, darren kenton, andy johnson, geoff horsfield, mark de vries, alan maybury. christ we've had a lot of garbage over the past 8 years.
Kitchandro Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 Right, that's it. Carl Cort. That's my answer.
Donut Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 Kalac Curtis Howey Keown Hammill Low Lewis Williams/Andy Johsnon/Philpott Gillespie Akinbiyi Benjamin/De Vries/Graeme Fenton (he was shit)
Wig_Wam_Bam Posted 29 October 2010 Posted 29 October 2010 [quote name='Kitchandro' date='28 October (sorry the quote didn't work properly on my iPhone) Are you for real? how can you put Savage in this list of players? This has actually made me mad!
red fox Posted 31 October 2010 Posted 31 October 2010 Got to be Tricky Trevor (Benjiman) for me. Oooooooooh or Denis Wise, sometimes i forget how much i hate him. Yes, in fact definitely Wise.
Captain... Posted 31 October 2010 Posted 31 October 2010 I don't understand why people are saying the likes of Sergio Hellings, and Kaebi are shit, you never saw them play, no one saw them play, so you don't know. Nor do I understand the people saying that some of our youth products were shit, young kids getting their first chance at pro football, some sink some swim, that's life, better to give them that chance than not, you may find an Andy King. Likewise the loanees that never made it Glombard and the hungarians, hard to call them shit when they hardly played for us. In my opinion the truly shit players are the ones that played week in week out despite the fact that there were better options, and were consistently shit, Junior Lewis is the obvious contender, he played 25 games for us, almost all in the prem, when he was in the prime of his career. Utter Gash Barry Hayles is another, 28 games 2 goals, Carl Cort has a similar record, they make Akinbiyi and Big Trev look prolific. The last 10 years have made the mediocrity of the likes of Mohan, Carey, Gee, Bobby Davison, Philpott, Mark Blake, look positively world class. A final note on Kalac, what makes the highlight reel of his Leicester City career so impressive is that he only had 136 minutes of football for us, and I'm sure they missed out a couple of his mistakes from the WBA game.
lestajigs Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 how can Ryan McGivern be the worst How can he NOT be one off the worst, only player when he gets the ball you shit yourself wondering what mistake he's gonna do next, he was awful
Fox92 Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 The worst player I have seen has got to be Josh Low. He was tall yet he couldn't head a ball. I think we sold him to Peterborough for £100,000. They actually paid for his services As for Ryan McGivern, I don't think he was a full back. He switched to centre half against Sheffield United at home, I'm sure it was, and looked very comfortable in that position. He's played a few times for Manchester City this year as well.
Heskey2011 Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 Ade (worst striker in premiership history never mind Leicester) Akinbiyi
