Very even session. We kept Watson VERY quiet.

Conditions could be tricky for new batsmen. If we can bowl them out today we'll be well set to make it 3-1.

Spewing Phil Hughes hadn't done anything wrong then goes out just before lunch

He'd done nothing wrong, then played at one that was high and wide, quite a poor decision. Interesting to see how the new guy fares, get into him straight after lunch, hopefully another collapse by your boys, 3 or 4 quick wickets :fc:

Let you in on a little claim to fame, my dad has fielded in a test for Australia ;)lol

That's would be a good experience something not many people ever get to do, What era was it?

Urm not sure, it was against the Windies he was playing over there as an overseas at the club which play at the Gabba and one of the players got injured and they needed a sub fielder and Border (i think who was captain at the time) who was good friends with him asked him and he fielded for a day or two. lol He cropped it up into conversation the other week at the dinner table. :giggle:

Name drooping eh? I have the most obscure link for a cricketer ever, We had a cocker spaniel when I was a kid called Mac and his granddogger (if that is a word for a canine grandmother) was owned by Viv Richards when he was at Somerset.

While you're there you should pop to The Black Mountain for an afternoon to try and catch a glimpse of The Queensland Tiger.

Think you read my post wrong I was only in Melbourne for this trip, but have been Queensland/Sydney in past trips so couldn't see that unfortunately.

Mixed day in the cricket today, not too sure what to make of it. I'll now miss a few days whilst I'm in the sky, and hopefully we'll be giving them a battering or have beat them when I get to the other side!

Great position to win the series now, well done to Alastair Cook for getting a big score and not well done to the Australians over his "wicket" on 99.

Not wanting to jump the gun but does anyone know if we have ever won 3 matches in an Ashes series in Australia (or England for that matter) by an innings?

The England team

Colly has had a great career (it's not over yet though) and his average is very good at Test level.
