And now what do you think? :-)

i'm glad that Sven played him in his natural position yesterday. He was ok yesterday but need some time to adjust and to regain his best level and confidence.

i didn't know he had a special yellow boots :appl:

lol It's the boot from Mizuno and developped by Keisuke Honda. Mizuno Wave Ignitus. Special for Mukaiten Free Kick.

Not that it seems we'll ever get to see him take a freekick from a dangerous area while Gallagher or Waghorn are on the pitch

I still don't undestand why he doesn't take Free Kick. When he was at Urawa Reds, Robson Ponte ( Brazilian playmaker) didn't let him take the Free Kick..... For the National team, Endo and Honda take all the Free Kick....

i hope he'll take some of them for us.

He looks more and more comfortable, the progress is visible.

Compare his impact in his first few appearances with the display against Barnsley, and I must say I'm absolutely impressed.

Abe came up with some of the sweetest passes and tricks I've seen in a while.

His vision can be/is second to none and he even won a few headers at Oakwell, which took me by surprise because he doesn't come across as one of the most physical players out there.

Should form a formidable central midfield alongside King in the weeks and months to come.

Loved it when he came out to warm down yesterday and the fans started shouting 'Yuki give us a wave' and Conrad Logan told him what to do :D Big fan of Yuki.

Do you not live in Switzerland anymore then?

So happy Abe is playing his best and people are realising how good he is.

In other news, Urawa Reds, his old team, are absolute gash this season and that makes me very, very, very, very happy.

As Fox you Forest said it means they are bad this season. I really, truly, madly, deeply hate the Reds and their scummy wannabe fans. Vamos F-Marinos.

Yeah, Grampus are good this year. Tulio was a great signing. I am hoping we get top 4 and get into the ACL.

From the Merc

Japanese midfielder Yuki Abe has pledged to show the Leicester City fans more as he settles into life in the Championship.

Abe has impressed in recent weeks in City's midfield, and was excellent during the 2-0 win at Barnsley on Saturday, but said he still was not completely satisfied with his performances.

The 29-year-old international, who signed for City in August for an undisclosed fee from J-League side Urawa Red Diamonds, said he was now coming to terms with life in England and in the Championship.

"I am getting used to more things now than when I first arrived," he said.

"I am enjoying the lifestyle. I am getting used to the style of football as well.

"I am speaking a little English now and I am starting to be able to communicate with my team-mates sometimes as well.

"I am now starting games and have had a few 90 minutes under my belt but, previously, I wasn't playing much. I feel I can still show a lot more and I will try to show what I am really capable of.

"I am not entirely happy with my performances so far because I know I can play better.

"There were some parts of the Championship that I found difficult because it is different to Japanese football.

"I have been thinking about what I need to do to cover those parts. I am getting used to it all the time.

"The pressures are harder, the players are stronger and they get tighter.

"You have to get to the ball earlier because someone can get in before you.

"I have to move around a lot more and I can't afford to stand still at all."

Despite being signed by previous boss Paulo Sousa before he was sacked, Abe said the managerial switch, which has seen former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson arrive, was not an issue for him.

"Regardless of who is the manager, I have to focus on producing my best and I want to work as hard as possible," he said.

"It was out of my control so I had to just get on with it. The manager may change but the team is the same, so it hasn't been a problem for me.

"He is a very famous manager and was manager of England for five years and the Ivory Coast, so it is great for me to play under him.

"I am learning a lot from him. He has given me some good advice.

"I want to help the team to do better so the team's position wasn't a problem for me when I came in."

Think he's been excellent the past couple of games, hopefully he'll continue along the same vein.
