unreachable Posted 19 November 2010 Posted 19 November 2010 Good old Leicester Mercury! In its article today http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/sport/Leicester-City-reveal-second-investors/article-2916057-detail/article.html it shows a picture of Vichai Raksriaksorn not Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn. Although the contents of the Official Statement of the club on the OS http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2224998,00.html give some information. The country/ies of registration of the companies are not mentioned which is unhelpful to those who would like to investigate their own company structures. It will be interesting to see what further information comes into the public domain. The relationship between K Power Sports Investment Limited and King Power Corporation will be the key to our future success. The original press releases had always treated the purchase of LCFC as an investment by King Power Corporation with Vichai as KPC’s Chairman and CEO. It seems odd that no mention is made of the connection in the club’s Official Statement since one would have thought that King Power Corporation is the holding company for K Power Sports Investments Limited. If that is correct it would follow that the shareholders of King Power Corporation are really the individuals who part own the club within the Football League regulations. Perhaps the ownership structure will be further clarified in due course when the club's website has been updated to comply with Regulation 92.
Finnegan Posted 19 November 2010 Posted 19 November 2010 Thank fuck the Foxes Trust got them to release this. It changes everything.
MPH Posted 19 November 2010 Posted 19 November 2010 Also it only says The ultimate owner of Asia Football Investments Pte Ltd which is wholly owned by K Power Sports Investment Ltd is Mr Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn. The ultimate owner of Cronus Sports Management is Mr Iman Arif. This givesus a clue that there are more people involved in the AFI and CSM. I don't think this statement has really told us much. Just who owns the majority. AFI and CSM directors are still being kept secret. And i doubt we will find out who they are for a long time. It also states in there that Asia sports investments is wholly owned by k power sports investments, but it doesnt say cronus sports investments is wholly owned by Mr Iman Arif. In other words, for all we know he could just be the figurehead. We are none the wiser. Just a cleverly worded statement. nothing else.

Jackirius is wrong in talking about "the majority". 100% of the shares in LCFC are owned by the two companies named according to the Official Statement and taken at its face value they are the beneficial owners. Top's Dad Vichai will be pulling the strings behind the scenes. LCFC is Top's toy - simple as that.
PAULCFC Posted 19 November 2010 Posted 19 November 2010 Don't know......Don't care.Off to Bristol tommorow to watch the football

My statement was more aimed at those who wanted to know exactly who owns our club. Official statements are worded very carefully for a reason - the wording matters. I was simply pointing out the different wording used to describe the different investment companies involved.
orangecity23 Posted 19 November 2010 Posted 19 November 2010 Iman Arif is an anagram of "I Fair Man". So nothing to worry about then.
STUHILL Posted 20 November 2010 Posted 20 November 2010 Stringer said this guy could be linked with some families in Oil, one name mentioned who is VERY wealthy apparently from Indonesia...... Hmmm could just be Stringer dribble or maybe some truth as Manderic did say the 3rd owner was from Indonesia with BIG money! Lets hope so. Guess will know more in Jan, depending how much we are able to spend.
unreachable Posted 20 November 2010 Posted 20 November 2010 http://www.thebluearmy.co.uk/news/New-investor-named-Aiyawatt-Raksriaksorn-joins-Leicester-City-board/article-2916818-detail/article.html “The structure of Leicester City's new board of directors has been revealed, with Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn, of the club's new owners, Asia Football Investments, taking his place on it. Raksriaksorn, head of Asia Football Investments, which is owned by the King Power Group, has been named as executive director and is the only new addition. City said that Raksriaksorn's group hold 80 per cent of the club's shares, but they will be assisted by a second investor, Cronus Sports Management, owned by Indonesian football official Iman Arif, who holds the remaining shares.” King Power Group was not mentioned in the Leicester Mercury report yesterday and was also not mentioned in LCFC’s Official Statement yesterday. We were told yesterday that Asia Football Investments was owned by K Power Sports Investment Limited but today we are told that King Power Group own Asia Football Investments. So who owns 80% of the club’s shares – King Power Group or K Power Sports Investment Limited? Perhaps the Leicester Mercury or LCFC will further clarify the position – or not.

From the article, I take it to mean that we still don't know who the biggest investor is - maybe we are in Billionaires club or not, I don't know?? What with SGE at the helm, I believe that we maybe.
