Could Newcastle come sniffing?

Hope not .

Hope Hughton gets something decent somewhere soon though.

Hope Ashley gets what he deserves though and by that I mean utter ridicule and bankruptcy (other than the moral kind which he achieved long ago).

I really hope they go down now just so Ashley can see several millions of Newcastles value go down the drain (again).

I honestly cannot remember a Chairman making so many calamitous errors in his approach to running a club. <----- That's not even tongue in cheek believe it or not!

I think they're fans are okay. Just really passionate and loyal.

And I think they know they aren't as good as they used to be, with the drop down a division. Kind of like us to be honest :dunno:

:thumbup::appl:

And if that's not bad enough the media are always bumming them and making out they are the best fans in the world

If they're so loyal why do they protest and boycott games everytime their manager is sacked?

They are just a bunch of whinging morons who think they're a massive great club who everyone loves. Hate them tbh.

Because they don't like the way their club is being run?

And after what's happened today, can you blame them?

I didn't like the way my club was being run earlier this season but I still went to the games. I mean I complained and everything but boycotting games doesn't make any difference does it.

When Keegan left they organised a mass boycott of the next game in protest just because he was their messiah. And it seems they're thinking the same now.

Sorry but they're so arrogant and they're not loyal. If they'd have just supported their team they may not have got relegated.

I wouldn't mind but I hate the fact that they're famed for 'great' support. They don't deserve their tag

Oh yeah like that's the reason they got relegated

They have every right to boycott games because of the way their club is run, if ours was run on the scale of what's happened to Newcastle. I'd probably go to a lot less games than I do now. Oh, and you cannot call their fans disloyal. Arrogant and elitist maybe, but they're as loyal as every other clubs fans and to call them disloyal because they hate their club's way of running things is just stupid.

What do you mean 'the scale of what's happened to Newcastle'? It was shocking decision to get rid of Hughton but it's hardly going down to league 1 is it

Yes they have a right to boycott mathces, they also have a right to boo and shout abuse but it won't help the team.

As if Sven would leave us now after 2 months in charge. Not happening.

Newcastle sacking Houghton is a disgrace. Make him do the monkey work down in the champ then boot him out after one poor result.

Posted

As incompetent as Newcastle are, I doubt they wold have done this without Hughtons replacement already lined up. Jol quit Ajax tonight and was linked with Fulham in the summer I think. I hope they get relegated and I hope Hughton goes on to prosper.

Jol wants the west ham job, or a London based team app. and if Newcastle are interested they will come sniffing, That fat bastard Ashley thinks he is in charge on Man United sometimes.

As I've posted on the Hughton thread, I can't see any serious manager going for the Newcastle job. It's a poisoned chalice. Why leave a club with owners that have signalled their intention to spend in January and have made their high opinion of Sven clear for a club in turmoil thanks to a useless owner who has run out of money and has a penchant for sacking managers for reasons known only to himself? It's the kind of job that will surely go to either someone who is unemployed or is desperately unhappy in their current position. I can't imagine either of these apply to Sven.

You summed it up perfect. Its a club on its kness and it is defianlty going to be viewed by the public and media as a poisoned chalice. follwing a bizzar sacking. I would be shocked if Sven went to Newcastle if offered

On paper it looks like Sven is job hopping but that’s really not the case. He wants to settle down at a club and be there for years.

He is 62 years old so he knows the age issue comes up, even in football.

After England he hasn’t been able to settle.

ENGLAND – He wanted to stay on for Euro 2008, they felt it was time he left. He left with the best competitive record of all time. SACKED

MAN CITY - They sacked him. And 3,000 city fans went on a march to keep him. Just like the Newcastle sacking yesterday, the public saw it as bizarre. SACKED

MEXICO – Well to be fair the results didn’t go as well as he would have hoped, but the people had no doubt he would still qualify them for the World Cup. Strangely enough, he has a great home record and poor away record. However, a mounting of politics involved in the Mexico FA, and half the committee didn’t want him there from the start. SACKED

NOTTS COUNTY – Director of football. He was conned, stayed till he dying end, ripped up a contract worth 2.4 million. The new owners called him an absolute gentleman. After ripping that 2.4 million contract I am surprised they didn’t drop their trousers to. lol – SVEN LEFT

IVORY COAST – World Cup contract only

LEICESTER CITY – No reason why he should be sacked as long as they spend and he takes them into the Premier League by next season.

no more loyal and passionate than any other fans....i have a club in leicester i feel apssionate about and i ma very loyal...along with over 30,000 plus others

Seriously can not see Sven quitting Leicester, he took on a two year contract to build something here and manage a team in the premier league and he wants a challenge.

I think he would only quit if all that was promised to him in regards to funds and backing proved false.
