Babylon Posted 16 December 2010 Posted 16 December 2010 Got a link to prove he was? No. Thought not. He'd been on anti depressants. Don't try and worm your way out of making a stupid comment. I know two people who have killed themselves, one down to a disability and one down to a break up. Far from being a "bit of a willy puller", they were probably two of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet. The sort of people who wouldn't label someone "a bit of a willy puller" for having issues they felt they could no longer deal with.
Daggers Posted 16 December 2010 Posted 16 December 2010 You have to be a bit of a willy puller to kill yourself because your fiancee cheated on you - I understand the pain and possible depression but as Daggers said you go out get pissed, feel sorry for yourself, shag a couple of munters and then coup up with your fiancee's best mate/ sister/ mum/ brother/ dad through pity sex. Woah, woah and woah. I was saying his response wasn't "normal" because that isn't the end result for most people in his situation, thereby proving that the abnormal product is an indicator of mental illness. In no way am I having a pop at someone for ending up at a place where the world seems so bleak there can be only one exit. I seem to remember having a big discussion about depression 20,000-odd posts ago. Suffice to say: if anybody recognises the symptoms described in this thread or thinks about ending it all, I'd encourage them to see their doctor urgently. Help is there, support is there and it does work.
Finnegan Posted 16 December 2010 Posted 16 December 2010 Indeed. Mental illness goes very frequently undiagnosed because people dont understand it or think its something to be ashamed of.
Daggers Posted 16 December 2010 Posted 16 December 2010 Indeed. Mental illness goes very frequently undiagnosed because people dont understand it or think its something to be ashamed of. Just like the desire to wave your cock at a room full of children when you're giving a Mayoral speech.
J.Lisemore Posted 16 December 2010 Posted 16 December 2010 Of course but there's a huge difference between thinking about it and doing it. Fair enough.
FoxyPV Posted 16 December 2010 Posted 16 December 2010 As I said in my original post any suicide is a tragedy. Granted, it was an over reaction on my part. Daggers - I wasn't equating what you were saying to what I had written - Just clarifying that.. If he'd been on anti depressants then that adds another layer to it but it sounded like he'd killed himself because his missus was having an affair and that to me is just foolish. It just sounded like those men who kill themselves and their kids because their wife/ partner is leaving them. And before you have a go at me about not knowing or understanding depression, I do.
Finnegan Posted 16 December 2010 Posted 16 December 2010 But you think people who react that severely to being dumped that they'd kill are of normal, healthy mind? I am not saying they have an EXCUSE, but you can never dismiss mental health.
FoxyPV Posted 16 December 2010 Posted 16 December 2010 The only thing wrong with them is that they are so misogynistic that they believe that the can kill their kids with impunity as the kids are extensions of their property and that by taking away their perceived property they can get revenge on their partners. There may be underlying mental health issues but then again we're all fucked up at some level.

He didnt harm a single person but himself. He was the one who had wrong done to him and yet in your mind he sounds like someone who murders his wife and kids? bloody Hell... you chat some weird stuff..... and you think you understand depression?
FoxyPV Posted 16 December 2010 Posted 16 December 2010 The reason I grouped it together, although foolishly, was because it appeared to be a spur of the moment decision which was followed through with rather than anything else. I didn't know he was suffering from depression until someone pointed it out.
fatmando Posted 16 December 2010 Posted 16 December 2010 His ex-girlfriend is more of a willy puller than Terry. She must have knew about the lads depressive nature and/or how much he loved her...yet she still shat on him. Poor sod.

Ajax Treesdown Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Inquest opened Looks like Asphyxia then......

She must have knew about the lads depressive nature and/or how much he loved her...yet she still shat on him. Poor sod. Nope. That's not the way it works. The relative scale of her ****ishness is open to debate but she doesn't possess prescience as to where her dumping him would end up. Inquest opened Looks like Asphyxia then...... Hung himself in the garage. Found by a team-mate, calling for him on the way to training.
Guest Bilo Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 Not sure if this is real or not but if it is, fair play to those who've responded.
Wymsey Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 Absolute disgrace if its true. Some people in this world.......*sigh*
StanSP Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 Why have people suddenly commented on it now? He wrote that on November 29th, and Dale died on 14th December. I know it doesn't change anything obviously. Sorry, it's the cynic in me and I don't mean to be insensitive. The comments are written as if he's written that status after Dale committed suicide.
