Father Ted Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Last season, Bruno was out injured for seven games and we didn't keep a clean sheet for a single one of them. He then returned for our home match with Newcastle and there you have it... a clean sheet! The man brings a calming influence to the defence, pops up with goals here and there and is a very solid defender. OK, he got ripped apart by Giles Barnes but so would most left-backs on that night. Bring Bruno back!
RowlattsFox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 So what about all the goals we were conceding with Bruno in the team at the start of the season? Pretty sure Puncheon would have gave Berner a tough game as well today. I like Bruno though and I think there is a chance he'll start on Saturday.
Stevosevic Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 I dont think we are going to see him again unfortunately.
Salieri Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Great lad and very unlucky to be ousted out of the team by Cunningham seeing as he's been a pretty consistent performer for us. Having said that, i wouldn't go as far as saying he is the 'missing key.'.

Chairman of the Bored Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 I'm all in favour of the "bring back Bruno" campaign. We had a pretty tight (ish) defence last season with him in it. Sousa completely destroyed it and Sven has added to our woes with loan signings that can't defend. I'd start with a back five of Weale - Neilson - Hobbs - Morrison - Berner at Hull with Naughton in midfield.
Kitchandro Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 didnt go today, but I'm upset by the result i dont think its got anything to do with berner its WAYNE BROWN we miss noone can say its been the same since he left. I agree, if anything's the missing key at the back, it's Wayne Brown I really like Berner but he was rubbish at the start of the season, he was playing and we were still conceding lots of shocking goals. He just looked unfit. Having said that, if he can get as fit as he was last season, he is a far better defender than Cunningham. But that's IF.
broughtonblue Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 didnt go today, but I'm upset by the result i dont think its got anything to do with berner its WAYNE BROWN we miss noone can say its been the same since he left. Wayne brown was our most consistent defender and had a great calming effect on Hobbs, I think we miss him more than people realise, would like to see the the win/ draw/lose percentage from when he was here to now he's left

We miss him big time.

Swalker Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 I like both of them and Kennedy. But I think it's time Sven shakes it up and makes 7/8 changes for Saturday. And Bruno should be one and push Cunningham up to left midfield
dannythefox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Superb And Fryatt, N'Guessan and Oakley as well. Fryatt wont wear a leicester shit again DNG on loan at scunny Oakleys shite to old now
dave_the_fox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 He was my player of the season last season. Whenever he has played this season he has looked past it :-(. Maybe Sousas fault?
Corky Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 He isn't the missing key, he's been a good player for us but Cunningham isn't the problem, he's been solid enough. Bruno, I'm sorry to say, has looked past his best this season.

hackneyfox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Fryatt wont wear a leicester shit again DNG on loan at scunny Oakleys shite to old now oh dear
RowlattsFox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 But he gets constantly raped and is always out of position I wouldn't say he gets constantly raped at all, today maybe but he's been pretty solid for the most part. We have a young back four, and it does need an older heard so Berner could be useful, especially away from home.

Naughton would be superb in midfield and rip everyone apart I reckon Sven will shake it up again aswell I'd still like Cunningham In the side but bench for a game maybe.? immense logic though
Corky Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 But he gets constantly raped and is always out of position So has Bruno this season.
Asha Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 didnt go today, but I'm upset by the result i dont think its got anything to do with berner its WAYNE BROWN we miss noone can say its been the same since he left. Rubbish. It hasn't been the same since PEARSON left.

Weale - Neilson - Hobbs - Morrison - Berner Shall we start with Sousa in the dugout as well?

Kitchandro Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 So has Bruno this season. Yes but because he's been unfit I think. Like I said, IF he could find his fitness he is a better defender. If he can't he probably should go. Cunningham is quite quick but he doesn't know how to defend.
