Jakemoore Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 I apologise if this discussion has already been raised, but I just wanted to know. I remember reading about a month ago that Tunch was back in training, does anyone know when he could be match fit?? Has anyone seen him feature in a reserve match recently? We could really do with him right now, we need a consistent CB partnership otherwise we'll see a stretched and poor defence like against Millwall becoming a feature
TuptonFox Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 after Sundays game RL got a text asking the sane and Stringer said that as far as he knew Tunch would be in training with the rest fully this week and will feature in the reserves when the snow clears because the reserve fixtures have been hampered by frozen pitches.
DanTheFox07 Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Don`t wanna see this guy rushed back because were leaking goals in, let`s see if we can get woodgate on loan in jan i reckon!
Salieri Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 I think it's more likely we will see Crncic in the starting line up than Tunch, sadly.
Daggers Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 How many times have the club announced he has been back in training only for it all to go quiet and then they announce he's back in training...and then it all goes quiet again... Don't hold your breath.

Don't hold your breath. Exactly my concern his injury has been so severe that he may not ever be as good or as confident as he was who knows

Don't hold your breath. It was a similar situation when Clemence was injured.
StanSP Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Any news on him lately? See Daggers' post and you have a probable answer!
cc_star Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Don`t wanna see this guy rushed back because were leaking goals in, let`s see if we can get woodgate on loan in jan i reckon! Why, to keep Tunch company in the treatment room?
artursteppe Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 I'm sure I heard at the end of last week that Tunch was starting training with the first team today.
Christoph Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Yeh he is but lets be honest, I dont think any of us see him ever returning fully fit. He'll be a Ledley King before he has to retire I think
ibbosuk Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Why, to keep Tunch company in the treatment room? Its About time Tunch got his act together, as we need him in the heart of the defence, to many mistakes by others.
Haydos Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Its About time Tunch got his act together, as we need him in the heart of the defence, to many mistakes by others. Is this deliberately thick as well or can you just not help it?
samjohnson Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Theres no use in rushing the guy! He's just had a seriously bad injury, one that could have forced him into retirement. An Anterior Cruciate Ligament tear is seriously bad; this coming from someone who has been there, done that, got the t-shirt. With being out of football for near-on 2 years, it will take time and progression so that he will be back to match fitness... All in all... Give the guy a break! He will get back in his own time!
Brainy Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Its About time Tunch got his act together, as we need him in the heart of the defence, to many mistakes by others.
tomtom Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Yeh he is but lets be honest, I dont think any of us see him ever returning fully fit. He'll be a Ledley King before he has to retire I think Ledley King made a world cup squad!.,.. and had a persistent knee problem but I get your point If Tunch does make a full recovery (with time) there's no reason it should cause him persistent problems like that
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 dont think he will ever be the same player tbh but heres hoping he comes back just as good as ever
MPH Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Give him a few weeks training and I can see sven doing a sven on himself - send a quality player to a lower league team to get match sharp for a month....
North-LondonFox Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 dont think he will ever be the same player tbh but heres hoping he comes back just as good as ever Agree with every word/sentiment in that post
LCFCmatt Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 How long has he been out now? Must be around the same amount of time as Clemence. Oh dear.
Cheese Me Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Back in full training today. Saw that on Stringer's Twiter too. First day's full training. If he comes back fit and as good as before that should compensate for not getting Davies if (as looks very likely) he does go to Brum.
cc_star Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Stringer's Twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/IanStringerBBC/status/30278636514840576 Back in FULL training today for the 1st time
hackneyfox Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Even if it all goes well, after 2 years out and only resuming FULL training today, how long till he can actually be fit enough to be picked?
