Fox92 Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 It was bad. Cunningham went in with loyality as he always does, never backing out from a challenge and we could all see it straight away. Greg put his hand up and Vassel had his hands on his head. The reaction from everyone said it all, but you could see it was bad. Best wishes to Greg because he has the potential to be a quality player.
Father Ted Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Very sad news. For a lad so young, this is awful, let's just hope he makes a full recovery. Let's just hope he can get over it mentally because he's one of those players who bases a lot of his game on going hard into tackles and getting stuck in, he may well lose that edge when he returns. Get well soon Cunny.
MattyFromLE Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 It says on the BBC that theres an interview with Sven - pretty much ruling him out of the season http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/9322920.stm

dannythefox Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Hope he gets well soon and i hope he gets the chance to play for us again. Good players now and will only get better.
Fox You Forest Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Gutted for the lad, hope he makes a quick recovery, didn't really have a good view of it so hope they show it again on the FLS. Also as much as I love Bruno, anyone who thinks he's the better player is off their rocker.
phillthefox Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Horrible tackle today on cunningham, guess he will be sent back to man city for treatment, bruno going nowhere now as he no 1 left back BRUNO BRINO BRUNO really took shine of a good solid game today........
ScouseFox Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Poor lad. Hope he recovers quickly, but that'll probably be his last appearance for us :(
lcfcbradyboy Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Hope this dosn't nock him back on his career. Hope he comes back and plays as good Put him in my sig to show my support
AoWW Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Gutted to hear this. Hope the lad makes a full and swift recovery. Do you think he might need a volunteer physio?
MeatyLCFC Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Get well soon greg! hope you have a good recovery nd rest of career if tht is the last time in a city shirt
Fox92 Posted 2 January 2011 Posted 2 January 2011 maybe Kennedy will get his chance at last, remember reading he was good going forward and good with a dead ball as well Yes agree with that, but he was also caught out of position twice I think for two of Norwich's goals earlier in the season. _______ I do like Bruno Berner because I think he is steady and consistant. But he does lack Cunningham's pace which is important obviously.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 2 January 2011 Posted 2 January 2011 Get well soon Greg.......Brilliant player with a great attitude and im sure he will come back stronger than before

broughtonblue Posted 2 January 2011 Posted 2 January 2011 In a case like this I'm just wondering, when a pro footballer breaks his leg and is taken to hospital, will he be treated by any surgeon at that hospital like you and me would, or are the club allowed to bring their own specialists in?

Same treatment and ortho surgeons as anyone else (from my experience anyway).
Yorkshire Blue Posted 3 January 2011 Posted 3 January 2011 In a case like this I'm just wondering, when a pro footballer breaks his leg and is taken to hospital, will he be treated by any surgeon at that hospital like you and me would, or are the club allowed to bring their own specialists in? I would imagine that the only difference would be that he would go straight into a private ward after the surgery, due to insurance etc. Also, I'd imagine it would be Man City staff who would treat him if it wasn't the hospital staff, and obviously they wouldn't have been at the game. It does make you wonder how differently footballers would be treated at a 'normal' hospital though doesn't it. Best of luck to the lad though!!
Stevosevic Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 IanStringerBBC Ian Stringer Sven on Naughton's future, Derby's interest in Waghorn and Greg Cunningham's future. 6pm on 104.9fm tonight. Also Naughton interview. Did anyone listen to this? What was the news on Cunningham?
Narborough_fox Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 I would love him back, Better than Van Aanholt in every way. Very good defensively. Really think we've missed him at Left-back.

Narborough_fox Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 compared to Van Aanholt knew I missed something out.
Kitchandro Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 compared to Van Aanholt knew I missed something out. Can't argue with that
ousefox Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 We've missed Cunningham immensely, sooo much better than PVA in every way
Father Ted Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 I think people are forgetting that before Cunningham's injury a majority wanted Bruno back in the team and many were moaning about Cunningham...
