I've wondered why in foreign countries they would say 'Arsenal London (obviously the equivalent of 'London' in their language'), Chelsea London, Fulham London etc as the football teams, but we don't here?

Or London Arsenal, London Chelsea....etc, even :P

I would imagine that it's to identify where abouts in England the club is, whereas here we, in the majority, know where they are located so there's no need to do so.

How do carnivores survive by just eating protein? Take lions as an example, they don't eat any carbohydrates or vitamins so how do they sustain themselves?

Well they don't just eat protein - meat is made up of muscle cells, a major producer of glycogen - which is a carbohydrate (massive polymer of Glucose - the animal equivalent of starch). Also, they get the vitamins they need from the meat as well.

If humans ate only meat we'd get horrible diseases like scurvy so how to predators avoid that?

I would have thought that was obvious - they've evolved to eat nothing but meat, we haven't - we're meant to be omnivorous - i.e. need the vitamins and stuff from vegetation as well as that from meat.

Likewise with herbivores - they don't need the useful parts of meat in order to survive.

Hmm, that was what I thought might be the case, but wondered if it was anything less simple lol

Lions eat almost everything of what they kill. Bones et all so get calcium from the bones. Also a lot of their prey are most likely grazers so their innards will contain veg.

Humans have developed as hunters as well as farmers so have had a balance evolution trend until Mcdonalds came along.

But surely that's the same for all countries? That is, we don't feel the need to call teams things like "Boca Juniors Buenos Aires" or "Lazio Rome" etc.

I dunno, maybe we're all just freaks.

Oh and Nightguard - a lion doesn't eat the bones, the hyenas come along and eat them & any remaining scraps - quite a tidy operation actually.

What about "Aston Villa Birmingham" or "Everton Liverpool"

Do they know where Villa/Brom/Everton are located? Guess not. Silly foreigners

In Scotland the old firm are known as Glasgow Celtic and Glasgow rangers.

Yes Ok But lions do get a varied diet none the less which is the point I was trying to make. Some animals/birds/insects eat one type of food but whatever it is is passed around.

Herbivores, carnivores etc can all survive on such different diets as they have all evolved different digestive systems. For example herbivores have less alkali saliva and stomach acid and much longer intestines, whereas carnivores are they opposite. Add in differences in liver and a few other bits and bobs and they become more efficient in absorbing nutrients from what the now eat.

Like with the parking ticket I'm far too late again, but for future reference I'm pretty sure it's Ctrl + Enter (not Alt + Enter). I use it quite regularly so should know but I think I do it on autopilot lol

Ha ha, I'll think of a question I need the answer to in a couple of months time and by then you will be bang on the money!!

What would you do if you found your front door open at 2am - would you close it and check your house or check your house then close it??

Close it then check the house - with some protection of course, I'm thinking Golf Clubs - get some nice power from them in a swing.

They aren't. It's simply Celtic and Rangers.

I dunno about Celtic but people dooften refer to the "Glasgow Rangers". Not officially though I suppose...

£49 + £49 = £98 + YOUR £1 = £99... Where's the other pound gone?

You but the shirt and have £3 change, you give £1 to your mum, £1 to your dad and keep £1 to yourself. Now you owe them both £49.

You see a shirt for £97, but you don't have the money, so you borrow £50 off your mum and £50 off your dad. £50 + £50 = £100 right?

This messed with my head for a while, until I realised it's just nonsense.

Since you still kinda owe your parents 50p more after paying them a pound each from the change I fail to see how that works.

It's people just not understanding how to count that makes the whole "Wow, where's it gone" scenarios like that.

edit: And finally, £97 for a shirt? It's a piece of fabric with a few holes for fvcks sake.
