Ok, what about addresses: Home address and term-time?

I do home address.

But that's cos I go home every other weekend. Are you at uni for all of term-time? Do you ever go back home during a term/year?

Why do we get high pitch noises in our ears? It's been happening to me regularly lately. It's always at night and always in my left ear as well.

That's tinnitus.

Or in my case, my misses whinging about something.

I have been given a lovely parking ticket, the strange this is that I had my car park pass on display on my dashboard like usual (infact the ticket was stuck right next to it on the windscreen so they couldn't have missed it).

And the pass was just in date too. If I just ignore the ticket what is likely to happen or is there some way of fighting it?

Also I'm a bit worried that if I do t pay it then they might cause some damage to my wheels, there's no CCTV and of course cars are "parked at your own risk" the company that fined me are called Elite Management (Midlands) Ltd

I know I'm a bit late, but this might help in the future if it happens again

I have a small emergency on my hands...

As he last part of my personal training course I have to write a twelve week plan for a fictitious client. The actual programme itself isn't a problem and is done but it's handwritten and VERY scruffy.

I have tried typing it into Microsoft Excel but it won't let me press "enter" to get a new line of text.

Like this.

So basically I just added in lots of "spaces" Like that to create new lines of text in each cell but when I print it out all my lovely centred text goes out of sync and all over the place - now I am aware of text wrapping and also have pressed the text alignment - centre.

So my question (finally) is.... How the **** do you press enter and get a new line of text in an individual cell. I have tried pressing Alt+enter but that doesn't work, is there any other settings I need to change?

(apologies for the long boring story)

Do the text, plus your return-space in Word, then copy and paste into the 'formula bar' at the top rather than the cell. Then just double click on the line to get it to auto-format the cell so that it can be seen, should it not do it automatically.

Hope that helps.

Right, so if I order something on eBay right now, will payment be processed etc, and it delivered to me by Friday morning? It says estimated delivery time 2-3 days, which should be enough, but is that estimated time from when payment is processed or from when i click confirm?

Any 'elp appreciated, ta.

Payment should go through straight away online. So then you should get your product within 3 days.

Payment will go through, so the person will send the item tomorow (or he/she should do) so if it is first class I think you should recieve the item Wednesday, and if it is second class; Thursday. I think that is how it works anyway.

Affect or effect, I'm never sure which to use in a sentence. Can somebody explain the difference?

Affect is used to describe the sort of people/businesses that will be bothered by a change - e.g. The spending cuts will have more of an affect on the lower classes, While effect is a description of what may happen, e.g. one of the potential effects of this drug is premature hair-loss.

I think.

You know in an job interview when you inevitably get asked 'what are your weaknesses'?

Well, how do you all answer it?

Genuinely interested to hear how people interpret this!

Just say doing your job.

It sounds like a trick question. Or more like a Catch 22 one. If you say none they may think you are too arogant and would pull you up as soon as they notice a weakness. If you told the truth they may think you are not ambitious or confident enough.

Play it safe and say chocolate or Fatima Whitbread.
