Lets adopt the 'Poznan'/Grecques

Maybe do it the other way so we can see the match?

I think having your backs to the action is half of the point. It's supposed to send the message 'we are here and we love and support our club no matter what is happening right now on the pitch.'

And to the people complaining about us potentially 'copying' somebody else's celebration..what does that matter? If it's fun to do and helps to generate a better atmosphere then surely it's all good. Somebody else came up with the idea for sliced bread but I still like sandwiches.

it might be a copy off man.city but surely the slower start to oh when the blues is a copy from spurs and left side right side was also a copy so its not like we dont do it already. think of the weight loss jumping up and down it would be great lmao

Credit to Manchester City for doing the Poznan today for Neil Young. K Block and P block doing the poznan was quality. Let's adopt it ;)

Possibly best chance of it taking off after a goal, rather than aimlessly doing it randomly - man citeh have it nailed on. BTW they adopted it from the visit of lech poznan in the Europa league this year. Away game's too with more hardcore fans... deepdale anyone?

Just about to say this lol The amount of times i've heard people around abuse them for not watching the game is crazy. Now people say adopt it! Makes me chuckle.

Same here, can't see Flask Army adopting it either!

Well, in all fairness... They copied Lech Poznan

And lech poznan copied someone else, thats how most chants happen, I don't see the problem as long leicester fans don't sing 'let's all do the poznan'.

As a number of others have already said, the Fosse Boys have been doing this all year and been getting slated by people left, right & centre in the ground for it.

Man City come to town & do it in large numbers, a few 'innovators' in our end decide to copy & suddenly everyone wants a bit of it. Fair enough it does look a bit more inspiring when a few hundred people are doing it rather than 30 but if our fans could've been a bit more open-minded & got involved in the first place we could've been doing this anyway.

It makes me angry because if everyone thinks the idea itself is so great, was it just the fact that it was the Fosse Boys who were doing it that got people so annoyed before, as clearly Man City fans doing the same thing suddenly make it credible & an idea that we must copy asap. Laughable!

If we start doing this now en masse, as a reaction to this game, it will just look like a blatant copy of Man City's fans when the truth is some of our fans were doing it in the first place. Our fans missed the boat i'm afraid.

Jesus, some of you kill it, you really do.

They did it first, we did it first blah, blah, and all that bull crap......SO WHAT!

Like someone said in an earlier post, why not just do it after a goal is scored, I like the idea a lot, it looked great from where I was sat, we are not saying do it during the game randomly just after we score a goal.

If the Fosse boys have being trying to do it before then fair play, but I sit on opposite side of ground and would have joined in long before yesterday given the chance. It's something that looked very impressive and even helped their fans with the atmosphere as I thought they were very quiet up untill that point.

The way I see it, you either join in or you don't..............But when we score at Preston if your there I bet you WILL if we give it a go.

It looks great from wherever anyone is sat. Thats the point. I just find it annoying how so many people needed Man City to come down here and do it to realise that, having previously ridiculed the Fosse Boys attempts at doing the same thing.

You're points are all well made. I think to understand where my frustration is coming from you would really have to be a member of the group & had to have listened to some of the comments we've had when trying the same thing in the kop. I appreciate that doesn't apply to you personally as you sit at the other end of the ground.

As for Preston, I'm sure I'll be bouncing around with everyone else. I'm not on a one man campaign to ruin everyone's fun, believe me. Far from it, I'm in favour of anything that generates a bit of atmosphere. Just, for the sake of my own personal values & what is most important to me when it comes to football, I really hope this doesn't become the next big craze, because if every club starts doing it, it kind of defies the point for me. I don't expect everyone to agree, its just my opinion.

Yeah, what a great idea, lets copy some other team's celebration cos we're too thick to create our own.

We're better than Man City, so we don't need to copy them... espeicailly when what they do is already an inferior copy.

If we restricted ourselves to things that weren't copied off anyone else our song book would be empty. It's the way of all football teams

**** it, I critisized it, did it yesterday. It was quality, Looked quality.

Lets do it.

Or we could call it Grecques like the rest of the world have done for years?

Just a thought.

:giggle:

whos slated them?? you referring to people at the ground rather than on here??

imaging it looks different also 20/30 people doing it rather than 200/300 so people wouidnt have seen the full effect before..

People on here even slated the Poznan fans for doing it when they played at the COMS!

Fosse Boys have been doing this since the sunderland pre-season and whilst its annoying that it took manc fans to come down here and get people on board I seriously hope it catches on!

Are you too lazy to read to the end of a sentence before passing comment?

Knob!

I hate the arrogance of some people on here sometimes.

Yeah but Fosse Boys did it first Rob. Surely you must understand.

Look the whole thing is that it's Poznan's thing. It's what Poznan fans do, that's why it's called the Poznan. Before long everyone will be doing it and it will be just like Chelsea Dagger being palyed at every ground for every goal. Let's do something that's uniquely Leicester, I'm sure we can think of something.

Like what? All turn sideways and bounce?

The only reason that there has been such a positive reaction towards it is because of the scale on which Man City fans did it. No offence to the Fosse Boys, but only having 30 odd people, if that, doing it more than likely does look a bit silly. This will never take off at Leicester, I would say we rarely get over 20% of the fans standing away from home, so god only knows what planet you're living on if you think our away ends are suddenly going to start doing this en masse.

On a more serious note, I really, really don't see the appeal of this at all. Call me boring or old fashioned but I pay my money to watch the fucking game. I'm happy to sing, jump, dance and do the fooking can-can whilst I'm watching it if that helps you create an atmosphere but I don't see the point in turning the other way.

I'm sure you can get all wanky and pretentious and give up some reason why it's a really deep and political gesture but as far as I'm concerned it's pretty dumb.

I'm generally not the sort of person on here that rolls their eyes at anything European or frequently criticises the Fosse Boys but in this one instance I massively don't see the point.

Yeah, sorry Fosse boys.

Saying that, maybe that's how much attention people pay to them.

I always thought loads of teams in Europe did it, and the only reason it's known as the Poznan on here is because Man City refer to it as that just because they played Lech Poznan and that's the first time a lot of fans saw it.

Exactly right.

Why are so many City fans trying to take a higher ground on a subject they know **** all about?

And i'm not even a Fosse Boy.

Because regardless, it just smacks of bandwagon jumping and monkey see monkey do.

If we'd been really clued in we'd have been doing it copying the continental fans. As it is, we'll be johnny-come-latelys
