Alexikokopops Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Because regardless, it just smacks of bandwagon jumping and monkey see monkey do. If we'd been really clued in we'd have been doing it copying the continental fans. As it is, we'll be johnny-come-latelys Isn't that what the Fosse Boys have been trying to do? And aren't the majority of songs we sing massively copying other clubs, apart from a change of name?
themotivator Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Isn't that what the Fosse Boys have been trying to do? And aren't the majority of songs we sing massively copying other clubs, apart from a change of name? maybe being an "ultra" is like starting a band when you are a teenager. you start of with covers first then when you are all comfortable playing with each other ( ) then you start to develop and write songs of your own.

Yes like I stated earlier, people hear a song and tend to adapt it or straight out copy it, there are some unique songs to certain clubs but it isn't many. I can't help think the people with a problem withit is because it comes from the 'ultra scene'. because we are happy to copy other chants (throughout the years) but then the grecque comes along and nooooooo we cant do that its copying.
1964FOX Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Ok it's quite clear the Fosse Boys have been doing this for several weeks so we would not be copying Man City. I am all for this catching on it doesn't really bother me how it happens as it does look better in big numbers and that's what us Fosse Boys have been after. I am happy to join in at an away match. And proof we did it first
Wymsey Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Even not many of the Fosse people are doing it Complete failure
Houdini Logic Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 What ever happened to good old fashioned fighting?
milan_foxes Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Look the whole thing is that it's Poznan's thing. It's what Poznan fans do, that's why it's called the Poznan. Before long everyone will be doing it and it will be just like Chelsea Dagger being palyed at every ground for every goal. Let's do something that's uniquely Leicester, I'm sure we can think of something. Like what? All turn sideways and bounce? Or we could stand on our heads?
1964FOX Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Even not many of the Fosse people are doing it Complete failure I think it's the only video I have of it, we changed the words for the Derby game so probably confused some of the members who don't attend every game. I don't pretend it's limited in small numbers but 500 or so at an away game could look good.

Wymsey Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=203682 I do feel embarrassed sometimes being a Leicester fan
Zingari Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 What ever happened to good old fashioned fighting? young uns today have forgotten what its like to be a true fan man city fans just used to chant , " KEEP OUT THE KIPPAX ", and it would be like throwing down the gauntlet to us ah the good old days !!
lcfcsnow Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 It was good when they did it for Neil Young but it soon got old by the 3rd time, big fuss over nothing once again.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 http://forums.bluemo...hp?f=1&t=203682 They can mock all they like but at least our forum is much smarter than theirs!
SirBlueFoxington Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 I don't get it. We complain about the atmosphere at city being dull, and how it a disgrace more people don't stand. But when something decent like this comes along everyone knocks it straight away. Also on the copying issue. Maybe this has already been stated but, we have recently started doing the slow version of 'Oh when the blues' . I'm sure spurs made that big, and i don't see a thread of people moaning about that.....

There's nothing wrong with doing it, but imagine being slated for doing something by people all season then just because Man City come along and do it, everyone wants to do it? Bit cringeworthy to be honest,
Zingari Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 did n't the man city fans start that craze for waving inflatable bananas a while back ? what was all that about ?
m00nie Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 how about we do it and when we do we sing "lets all do the fosse boys" instead of the "lets all do the pozman" so they can have there recognition??
Zingari Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 how about we do it and when we do we sing "lets all do the fosse boys" instead of the "lets all do the pozman" so they can have there recognition?? that might sound like " let's all do the postman " trav le bleu will be horrified !!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 that might sound like " let's all do the postman " trav le bleu will be horrified !! <_<

I'm sure spurs made that big, and i don't see a thread of people moaning about that..... That's because the song was popular before Spurs slowed it down, and our slow version is so shit nobody hears it and/or it dies out after the first couple of words. Nobody cares about it.

Lesta Legend Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 The only reason that there has been such a positive reaction towards it is because of the scale on which Man City fans did it. No offence to the Fosse Boys, but only having 30 odd people, if that, doing it more than likely does look a bit silly. This will never take off at Leicester, I would say we rarely get over 20% of the fans standing away from home, so god only knows what planet you're living on if you think our away ends are suddenly going to start doing this en masse. It all starts some where and with all the positive chatter across different forums about 'doing it' at Preston I expect a fair few to start the poznan If we score. Like it probably started with man city it could possibly take off and snow ball with Leicester, we shall see There is no point being a arrogant stuck up tool about it though, I wouldn't say anyone here is an expert of fan dynamics / psychology to say someone is being silly or thick by suggesting the poznan may take off. It's all a bit of fun, a lot of hardcore away fans (like me) will love it, maybe it won't take off - hay Ho, so what
