Preston Post Match

Stairway in the block closest to the home fans was rather amusing, about 100 of us just standing on it quite happily for about half an hour before the stewards felt inclined to intervene and moved us into overcrowded rows of seats, felt like what the good old days might've been a bit like...

As for the match; quite frankly we were excellent for 95% of it, up until the point of actually putting it in the net. And then one fooking outrageous defensive lapse throws away 2 points. No point getting angry, because how often have I heard that before?!

Sadly I think you might need a new sig :(

Very disappointing... thrown away 2 valuable points there against a shit Preston side who we outplayed.

Not good enough, however, it was at least 1 point rather than nothing which knowing us, it could very well have been!

Could Weale have done better with their goal? I wonder.

The position of the camera doesn't really show how close he was to the ball.

Can't blame Weale, we had enough chances to win the game by 2-3 goals. I think it is time we got in another winger or two, we have no options on the bench for wide areas (bar Waghorn who is a striker) and Dyer is really killing us with his poor finishing.

Pretty much echo what everyone else has said. We had so many chances and it really could and maybe should have been 5 or 6-1. Gallagher hitting the woodwork twice, lloyd and andy kings misses aswell as Yakubu perhaps could have done better in the first half. We really should have killed them off.

Got to say I'm not a fan of Sven bringing on Oakley to close games out because it really doesn't work.

Such a poor goal to concede, the defence should be doing a lot better than that.

Postives though is that Yakubu just looks different class so far, albeit against a piss poor Preston outfit.

This result reminds me alot of Scunny away last year. Looking forward to seeing Yak rip this league apart in the coming weeks.

And we all know what the next result was :o

If your centre backs aren't in remotely the right position to deal with a long ball in the last minute of a game when you're winning, you don't deserve 3 points imo. Weale...tough call, looked saveable but hard to be sure.

I must have dreamt this cause nobody else has mentioned it but didn't we

have a stonewall penalty shout on Dyer in the 2nd half ?

Also I hope that the Yak is not fully fit because despite his obvious class

he has a serious lack of energy.

Hobbs defending for there goal was well good.

He didn't need to charge to halfway line, if he had stayed and marked Hume we wouldnt have conceeded!

Bamba also did nothing to stop Hayes( i think ) flicking it to Hume.

to be honest i expect us to win all 3 of our next league games regardless of who we play otherwise i'll be dissapointed
