ScouseFox Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 On another note, the linesman down our end was great. Gave everything our way, loved him.
Bert Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 Alex. We did not make up more than a third of the attendance . I don't know where you get some of your comments from sometimes. No good beating ourselves up this now i'd say. We need to focus on two big games in the next seven days now.
Kitchandro Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 Just saw the goals on SSN. Great finish from the Yak, looked so calm, almost lazy, but completely fooled the keeper. Sorry to say the equaliser was Hobbs' fault. Panicked and went for a header half way up the pitch when Wellens was standing there. Then when Bamba was beaten in the air too, no one was tracking Hume. Fair play to Hume, wasn't even that good a chance.
Simmo86 Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 TBF I thought would lose today so its 1 more point than I thought we'd get. But.........we should of seen the game out and for some strange reason I knew it was coming. Sitting in my mates frontroom just waiting for Dowie to break the bad news!! Having said that, the away form is slowly getting better and 3 points against Millllll gives us 11 from 12 which is fantastic form. With winnable games coming up after Millll also, I wouldn't give up on the playoffs just yet. By the end of this transfer window think we'll have on paper one of, if not the strongest starting line ups and squads in the division.
lifted*fox Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 Just got back. Good City following. Shame we panicked & threw away 2 more points. Crazy subs from Sven.
Kitchandro Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 I think all we need is a settled side and a winning mentality. Today we threw away the points because we panicked at the back. The bench isn't great, but still, we could have easily brought on Waghorn instead of Howard and Vassell instead of Moussa when he's fit again. Our squad is good enough.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 Am I the only one that thinks Oakley isn't good enough?

Roughly 2'500 present today, correct?
Kitchandro Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 Sorry. Got it mixed up with the Manchester City game. Roughly 2'500 present today, correct? That's what I heard
The Doctor Posted 15 January 2011 Author Posted 15 January 2011 Am I the only one that thinks Oakley isn't good enough? not at all, i like the bloke - he did well for us in L1, i have no doubt he's a good personality to have at the training ground helping the youngsters but he's just not championship standard anymore.
Kitchandro Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 Am I the only one that thinks Oakley isn't good enough? No.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 Glad to see I'm not the only one then. I'd love a better midfielder coming off the bench.

lovelcfc Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 just got back played really well but why dont we ever shoot just outside the box and they pass it about
StarFox Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 For the first time since he's joined us, I think Sven got his substitutions wrong today. Although I like big steve, I don't think he contributed much to the game today. I think Waggy would have been a better choice.
AmyLGK Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 I went to the game today, and whilst I thought in the main we played well and I really enjoyed watching us, we faffed around loads in the box, like they were scared to shoot. Also, we gave the ball away far too easy at times. And I really didn't get the subs, but hey we're still unbeaten this year :-)

The Waggy of this season: - NO fooking WAY
kylestyle06 Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 Just got back was stood right at the top next to the camera man, and what an atmosphere we created today. Top praise to the people around for the armophere too... Sol sol bamba. The ponzan worked and was great. Should of put our chances away... And king ( still forgive him though) . Great game great atmosphere ... more of them please!!!
sdb Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 The Waggy of last season definitely. The Waggy of this season: - NO fooking WAY So we wait until the 2011/12 season before he pulls on the jersey again?
Bert Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 Sorry. Got it mixed up with the Manchester City game. Roughly 2'500 present today, correct? Wouldn't like to say as I couldn't see the whole support. It was a good following though. Shame that a lot of under 16's thought it'd be s good idea to rip some seats out.
ajthefox Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 Just got back and very disapointed. It was not so one sided as some of you may believe. We had several chances and Kingy really should've won it for us after their goal but in fairnes lPreston had a few decent chances, humes one on one for starters. We played pretty well and had some great posession in their half but if anything, we didn't create clear cut chances, we had a fair few decent deliveries with no-one getting on the end, but the main problem was that we dithered around outside the box, time and again Wellens, Abe, King, Dyer and even gallagher refused to shoot. Yes we have dropped 2 points today but I'm yet again amazed by just how fickle some are. After Swansea we were play-off bound and now we're no hopers. We may well struggle to get play-offs, but it's not over yet. Bring on Eastlands.
Corky Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 We don't need a cup run at the moment - league is more important, and let's be realistic here, we ain't gonna win it, so it's just a distraction and potential injury creator. Totally the wrong attitude to take- a cup run would be good because we'll be winning games and get some enjoyment out of the season. It's not a distraction- we entered it so we should give it our best shot.
StarFox Posted 15 January 2011 Posted 15 January 2011 The Waggy of last season definitely. The Waggy of this season: - NO fooking WAY And Steve Howard is any better?
