Edmund Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/oddballs/853141-jermaine-pennant-forgot-he-owned-porsche Jermaine Pennant ‘forgot he owned Porsche’ Stoke City star Jermaine Pennant simply could not remember owning an expensive Porsche, after leaving it at Zaragoza train station for a staggering five months. Footballers are already stereotyped as being a bit underwhelming in the brains department and this really isn’t going to help their cause one little bit. As if leaving the car abandoned for nearly half a year wasn’t bad enough, Spanish paper Marca reports that when the player’s former club, Real Zaragoza, phoned him to let him know, Pennant still had no recollection that the vehicle was his. Officials from the Spanish club broke into the car, which has a P33NNT number plate, and discovered that the keys were on the seat. Pennant’s previous clubs include Arsenal, Leeds United and Liverpool, who he signed for in 2006. In 2009 he left the Merseysiders on a free transfer to the La Liga side, but made little impact. He also riled the coach, Jose Aurelio Gay, by turning up late to training on several occasions. Though in light of what's just happened, maybe he simply forgot he was a star footballer. The 28-year-old right-winger signed a permanent contract for Stoke last December.
Marmite Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 Just goes to show how over paid these footballers are !
Finnegan Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 Because I got high, because I got, because I got huh-igh. Buh duh dum dum.
StanSP Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 Reminds me of the MINT adverts. Dumb clever balance thing. Clarke Carlisle (who I believe is going on Question Time) - Clever. Pennant (and unfortunately a lot of brain-cell-lacking individuals) - Dumb
Guest DavidJCW Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 More money than sense. If he had nothing and was given a quid he'd have more money than sense... the guy is a complete and utter tw*t and for one I'm not surprised by this at all... pillock.
filbertway Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 Probabaly left it hoping it would be stolen, especially if the keys were in full view.

AoWW Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 My Mum left me outside a shop in my pram when I was ickle. She and my Gran went all the way home without me, sat and had a cuppa tea, etc, etc... it was some time later when they realised something appeared to be missing. I still maintain it was deliberate.

And in that time you were abducted by aliens who removed any potential ability to post pictures on internet forums. They then placed you back on Earth.
