Jackirius Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Think we need to get one of these bad boys Only costs $40m and weighs over 600 tonnes, but I don't see there being too many problems . Plus, you'd be able to see the game in HD from your own seat. Wouldn't be able to let an Allardyce team play though, they'd keep hitting the screen with their hoof ball. Bloody hell, Who's is that? Is that Dallas Cowboys stadium? Surely they must have a better use of £40 million.
Callabinho Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 We are getting two video screens next year! similar to Man city! According to someone i know anyway.
Wymsey Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 We are getting two video screens next year! similar to Man city! According to someone i know anyway. I heard we're getting two scoreboards (don't know what kind) for both the longer stands (le1 side and the Main stand) From next season, according to someone i only have to reveal them as 'Mr.W' This Mr.W also said on Saturday that Bruno Berner is going to Huddersfield on loan.
LCFCkid Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 I'm sure stringer said summit bout us getting a Video screens soon!
smallpauldj Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 the one thing i miss loads from Filbert street was the scoreboard and the words "score flash" as soon as it came up you heard everyone saying score flash from around the ground. and as for some reason on orange anyway internet connection dont seem to work very well at the walkers i cant even get onto the bbc site to check scores. if its true we could be getting new screens does this mean its fair well to to banner from our past that runs around the top of the stadium along with the name walkers stadium into king power stadium?
Fatbloke Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 If we need to keep the same size as our existing ones, I like the Ipswich scoreboards, they are Blue and White !
Fox1651 Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 Thats better, think the Wycombe game was the worst day of my life (apart from meeting the first wife obviously)
lcfcadam Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 Well I for one won't be happy until they install technology that screens Sky Sports News in HD directly onto my eyeballs whilst I'm watching the match. Our current scoreboards that only show... shock, horror: the teams, the game-time and the score... are totally unacceptable!
Haydos Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 NEWSFLASH: WORLD GOES CRAZY AS NEW RESEARCH SHOWS OPINIONS DIFFER ON ALMOST EVERYTHING Urgh. It's late.
cc_star Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 Be nice to have a video wall (better ad revenues for the club), but its bloody difficult in a bowl shaped ground. Showing goal replays would be good
Bert Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 Yeah, next season. Even bigger things will be happening.
cc_star Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 Yeah, next season. Even bigger things will be happening. Expansion of one side?
Kitchandro Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 We need a big screen so we can see the cheerleaders fgs! I would like the scoreboard to update us on other goals in our league. Imagine if it was the last game of the season and we needed other results to go our way to get in the playoffs/go up, and the scoreboard came up with a score update from a match in the last minute that sent us up. Now that would be dramatic.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 It could show episodes of popular sit com 'Outnumbered' starring Hugh Dennis, or 'Ben 10' for all those little kids that get dragged to games and clearly don't want to be there. I quite like Ben 10 actually
richardsfoxes Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 Would like some Electric Advertising boards.
lildave3 Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 We need a big screen so we can see the cheerleaders fgs! I would like the scoreboard to update us on other goals in our league. Now that would be dramatic. Pretty sure that's not allowed. But I remember in 03 when we went up the scoreboard flashed up saying Sheff U were losing. Ian Walker went mental
samjohnson Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 Replace the 2 that we have with the ones like QPR have got... They are better than TV Screens with every move sponsored by some company we've never heard of... Like Cov's crappy corner screen
Guest Bilo Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 Sorry, but..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlB8ltchEiY Couldn't resist.
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 Away fans come and think that they are working, as they can't see what is our the north stand one. Anyway what does it matter? Some shit holes (deepdale, oakwell, etc) have 1 scoreboard. What does it matter really?
Dilkes Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 Would like a screen like Man Citys, showing replays after goals and what not. I know its illegal to show offside decisions and that because it happened in the World Cup to Mexico I think
Guest Bilo Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 No video screen please. I actually cringed for Coventry when they spent god knows how long showing a sponsored montage of them scrambling home goals in a half empty Ricoh, crap adverts and very occasional updates of the score. Oh, and you just know what corner they'd shove it in don't you? Maybe a colour scoreboard like they have at Loftus Road but no more than that. Score and time elapsed, that's all we need at a match. Anything else is unnecessary window dressing.
The Padster Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 Our current scoreboard pisses me off with how it stops at 90 mins and doesn't continue with injury time.
thybluefox Posted 8 February 2011 Posted 8 February 2011 Everyone has a different view - I for one would welcome them and electronic ad boards.
Finnegan Posted 8 February 2011 Posted 8 February 2011 I want the scoreboards from parkhead. I am genuinely shocked and surprised by this.
