StanSP Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 I had that same Escort Cosworth car This was popular too
purpleronnie Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 Who didnt have one of these....... I didn't have a naff one for the fact everyone had one. I did however go to the silver arcade and found a jacket similar style (but a lot nicer) and I believe it was £50 which was the most I had every spent on clothes at that time (early 90's).
SeCrEt FoX Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 Some more 90's- Michael Jordan, Kid 'n' Play Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh prince. Kid 'n' Play were awesome and who can forget MJ

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 Refusing to upgrade your music collection from cassettes to CDs.
MPH Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 Not sure if this counts as late 80's or 90's but either way, other boys were out chasing girls whilst i was in playing this all the time. My favorite game although shockingly the name escapes me was a football manager game that you actually played in too. overhead shot.. grr forgot its name... EDIT: Player manager by Anco. chuffin loved that game....
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 This place opened: I know American Adventure was shit, but I miss it. I'd love to see what it's like there now, bet it's like Chernobyl or something in there. *Shit! After some research it opened in 1985, haha. Still a good place to go in the ninties....

Iron Wolf was my first ever upside down roller coaster, and motion master was
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 That photo was taken back in 2007. All I remember was the place being massively busy, but even this (above) has been taken down now. Been looking round and it seems like it's been a hot spot for people that like looking round / get curious by this sort of thing, found some photos taken from summer 2009 on the internet, there's nothing left apart from the old pier type thing. It'd freak me out if I went there just after it closed I think, looks such an eerie place. That's where the Missile used to be. The rapids. These are a couple of years old now, God knows what's still there.
Finnegan Posted 11 February 2011 Author Posted 11 February 2011 My first ever rollercoaster I once demanded to know why "the Indian guy" was allowed to never get off.
Zingari Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 Was this your first and most vivid memory of overt racism Sos ?
Finnegan Posted 11 February 2011 Author Posted 11 February 2011 Yeah probably. . Unless you count positive discrimination!? Obviously, living in a pokey former mining village in South Wales I'd never seen anyone from any ethnic minority before. I remember being told that people from all over the world lived in Leicester and I got amazingly excited and desperate to have "someone Chinese" in my class at school (I was very young.) Against all odds (I went to a pokey, village county school) there actually was. Ironically, he was a complete shit.
Zingari Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 I'm very impressed that you were ready to strike a blow against injustice at such an early age though Sos
