ajthefox Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 Some bloke not that far in front of me was doing it every few minutes, did my head in. Support who's on the pitch when we're playing or you'll just make things worse.
B52 Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 Can't fans in L1 disliking the "moronic" songs answer with an own song: Support your team Support your fans Leicester Leicester Leicester.......
Walshy5 Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 I prefer Weale over Ricardo but I wouldn't chant Weales name while Ricardo was playing, just adds more pressure and doesnt exactly make him want to keep playing at leicester. Yeah he might put in a transfer request then with a bit of luck
milsey Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 Ricardo is a world class keeper who can easily do job in the championship! we should feel happy he has come to leicester! now please can we show him some support already! Ricardo has never been a world class keeper but he has been a good one. We should get behind him, altho he made a few dodgey decisions he also pulled off 1 great save in the 2nd half. Give the bloke a chance! i do feel sorry for weale but how can any of us on here question svens judgement???? As far as im concerned hes not put a foot wrong!!

And for the record i would rather Weale played, but chanting his name while he's not on the pitch is as idiotic as chanting du du du du Matty Fryatt.

JBrew86 Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 RICARDO IS BOB!!....... Keep Weale in goal, he is a quality keeper and it showed against Man City at home in the FA CUP!! we need a strong back-up keeper!! if its not broke dont fix it!!...concerntrate on replacing oakley who is playing C**P and Howard who is a donkey!!! we need good quality youngsters in the club!! Andy King...fine example!!! oh leicester we love you!!!!

So every keeper that wins in a penalty shootout at a world cup deserves to be called world class?????? are u for real????? I totally agree that weale should never have been dropped and the chanting was stupid. i feel sorry for weale, top keeper n top bloke!

And he was in the 2006 world cup tournament All-Star team as one of the three best goalies at the tournament... If Ricardo isn't a world class goalkeeper hardly anyone can be. Portugal isn't a big team so if the size of him should be a problem Portugal wouldn't have achieved what they did when Ricardo was gk. At his age it wouldn't be any problem at all. At the moment I see it as Sven wants Weale to learn the "modern" game from one of the best. Weale is still young so why worrie.
worksopfox Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 I can't tell you and your brother apart because you're both massive spastics ..just realised Fox92 isn't your brother but I stand by my point Hey Potter 3 you should becareful who you call spastics!!!!!!

Im a firm believer in supporting whoever is on the field but to say weale will learn from ricardo is like saying ricardo will learn from logan!!

Im a firm believer in supporting whoever is on the field but to say weale will learn from ricardo is like saying ricardo will learn from logan!! Quick distribution, modern logistic is something Weale could learn. I also noticed Weale has been extremely poor in communicating with the defence. I believe the flapping and walkabouts is in Australia so you won't see it next time.

milsey Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 let's be honest he did it with some style... and he played for his country, and countries make up the world, and Portugal is quite good at football.... yeah i admit he did in style(infact he took the piss out of us) but world class is a phrase used to often these days.thats just my opinion. peggy arphexad.........now he was world class!!!!

You have a point there. One of the few competitions you can measure something as blurry as that is a WC or CL. If a player can show their worth in something like that they get to a higher level - World class..........
ibbosuk Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 Are you Chris Weale? Or are you Chris Weales wife/lover/bitch? I wish I was his love bitch.......Me and Chrissy Weale... WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH PLEASE CUM BACK TO US ON TUESDAY...You are beautiful. WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!!
hackneyfox Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 I see the happy-clappies are out in force because we won. But can anyone really say they'll feel more confident against Cardiff or QPR with Ricardo in goal? I certainly won't be any more confident if Weale was in goal. I've never been a fan of Weale, my many posts about him over a period of 2 years will back that up. But when he's played well I've taken my hat off to him. Whatever I think to Weale, Fryatt, Morrison, Hobbs and Dyer I would never boo or slate them loudly while they are on the pitch. You have to some kind of coont to do that and then try and excuse it afterwards. By all means talk about how shit you think he is down the pub, during the match or on here afterwards, but during the game if you can't support your own players then just shut the fook up. And abusing your own fans, especially when they have just turned up and it's a poor game is poor form as well. If people aren't made to feel welcome they won't come back. Abuse is to be hurled at away fans, that's what they are there for.

Captain... Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 A question, because I wasn't there, were people chanting "We want Weale"? Or just "Weale"? Were people actually booing Ricardo? Did anyone chant for Waghorn before he came on? A few years ago, when I was able to go to more games it was quite common to have a little chant for the subs as they warmed up, give them a clap and a cheer. Especially a fan favourite, it was never anything to detract fromt he 11 on the pitch, but the subs are just as much Leicester players as those on the pitch. I'm sure that Weale appreciates the support after having unjustly lost the number 1 spot, and if he is to come back will probably be incredibly motivated as opposed to pissed off for being dropped in the first place. Like I said I wasn't there, so I don't if there was any Ricardo booing, or if it was directed at Ricardo. In principal I see no problem with chanting the name of any Leicester player, be they on the pitch, on the bench, or sitting in the stands suspended/injured/out of favour. I'm not an idiot and I do appreciate the sub text behind chanting Weale's name in relation to Ricardo, but unless it was coupled with negative chants to Ricardo (which whilst may be justified are not going to help anything) I see no problem with it. I don't think Yakubu will be bothered if Waghorn gets a few chants if he's on the bench against Cardiff.

I would imagine there wasn't any 'negative' chanting towards Ricardo because 'supporters' don't want to appear like c**ts but it's the insinuation that Weale should be on the pitch instead of him. It's not going to make you feel great is it? I've heard it before and I wouldn't be surprised if it was after Ricardo had been on the ball/done something questionable, which contrary to you I think is just as moronic.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 We should get behind our player's when they are not in form, Ricardo has played at the highest level and he just needs time to adjust to english football. Shouting Weale isnt going to help, It just knocks his confidence and will make more mistakes. We get behind our blue and white army.

Keyboard warriors on the other hand.. With the scratch back 4 we have (3 of whom only joined the club last month), it's not unreasonable to expect an experienced keeper to provide more stability to the defence than someone who had previously played precisely ZERO minutes of competitive football during the past 2 seasons. Especially when Weale, whatever his many detractors may proclaim, has earned us many more points than he's cost us. And in his two appearances to date, Ricardo has done little to dispel the impression of a calamity looming around the corner.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 Love it how everyones moaning still. Pie and the pint chant was genius. Feeble.

Do you think Yakubu would be come less confident, and feel bad if the fans chanted Waghorn on Tuesday against Cardiff? Dyer's name often gets chanted when he's on the bench, do you think Vassell starts to worry? No. Unless people were actually jeering and booing Ricardo, it shouldn't affect him, unless he is an emotionally fragile sort, which I doubt. Chris Weale, like Waghorn and Dyer are Leicester City players and have been for a couple of years, so if the fans want to chant their names they have every right to do so. I support Leicester City the club and all the players and staff, not just those on the pitch at the time.
