WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! Nobody is trying to curtail your freedom of expression during a football game, rather I am simply trying to explain why it may not be productive to deride a player while he is playing. You are of course free to hold whatever opinions you like about a player but surely you must acknowledge that it cannot be good to express those opinions en masse during a game to the extent that the player themselves can hear it? It will reduce his confidence and could negatively effect his decision-making.
worksopfox Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 Whoever wears a City shirt we must all support that player! Lets get behind Ricardo, and lets all trust Svens judgement!!!!!
rico Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 I find it quite amusing that our "loyal" supporters even have a go at our fans,"where were you when we were shit" and "you're only here for the pie and pint" were embarrassing, perhaps they would prefer the stadium to be half full every game
Dilkes Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 I find it quite amusing that our "loyal" supporters even have a go at our fans,"where were you when we were shit" and "you're only here for the pie and pint" were embarrassing, perhaps they would prefer the stadium to be half full every game Its funny because I know people up there who have been going down for this season only
Foxybeaver Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 I'm a big fan of Weale but I total agree with your argument, shouting Weale is embrassing not just for other fans but Weale himself. I think playing Ricardo while in a good run of form is the best idea as it's not as much pressure on him
Kingylcfc Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 if theyve been chosen to play, we need to support them... yes it would probably give Weale more confidence, but it would ruin Ricardo's, weve gotta give him a chance to see what he really can do.
Phlashman Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 I find it quite amusing that our "loyal" supporters even have a go at our fans,"where were you when we were shit" and "you're only here for the pie and pint" were embarrassing, perhaps they would prefer the stadium to be half full every game Totally agree, what sort of douche do you have to be to have a go at your own supporters? That pissed me off. So did the Weale chants, but I suppose there will always be morons. These are the same people who think the Yuki chants are funny and/or acceptable.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 dont see the point of getting on your own keepers back when he drops one catch, bristol were a big side and ricardo is only a small keeper and tbh most of the time he looked like he was being fouled. you could see how slippy the surface was today hence most players slippng over and the ball skidding all over the place, so catching a wet ball on slippy surface is always going to be difficult. shouting weale wont help / change anything either so its a waste of breath. weale hasnt exactly been perfect this year, so who do we call for the next time he drops a catch? trust sven and trust ricardo, the guys played for portugal 79 times ffs
David Guiza Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 Probably the same fans who were slating him and saying he needed to be dropped following mistakes against Watford and Bristol City away.
Alexikokopops Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 The ones that moan about this, are probably the ones that go 'UGHHHHHHHH' when a player loses the ball. Not much difference. About 100 people shouting Weale, or Yuki as apposed to 28k sighing when a player makes a mistake. Of course it's different

I can't tell you and your brother apart because you're both massive spastics ..just realised Fox92 isn't your brother but I stand by my point
yag101 Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 I trust Sven to make the correct decision after seeing both of them perform in training and reserve games, and I'm sure he and the goalkeeping coach know a lot more about goalkeeping than any of us here, seeing as the views of the posters on here have such polarised opinions on what the goalkeepers' best and worst abilities are.
accessory Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 I see the happy-clappies are out in force because we won. But can anyone really say they'll feel more confident against Cardiff or QPR with Ricardo in goal?

nickelbyfox Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 Shut the fvck up you **** and get off this board. Nobody gives a toss what you say whether you mean it or not. Seriously, fvck off. Agreed! there's taking it to far some times but ibbosuk or whatever is really a piss take! f off and support man utd or summin! Embarrassing to be chanting another keepers name when we are trying to win the game and get promoted imo
Haydos Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 Great win first of all, don't get me wrong. Guys and gals who went tonight........there's a lot of moaners on here (whether they've been or not i have no idea) throwing in their two pennies worth about various chants. Mainly getting at the "Weale, Weale!" etc (If true this is disgraceful, he may have lost his place but this only fvcks up Ricardo while he's playing). Wondering if there's anything else from the dickheads? Just like to know more about the atmosphere and crowd performance tonight really, I don't get to go to many home games and people on here are making tonight sound embarrassing. One mediocre performance and everyone's having a hissy fit. Fvcking typical EDIT: Can mods merge this please, sorrrrrry!. For some reason I completely missed pretty much the exact same thread. Point and questions still stand
turkish14 Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 Could some of the Leicester fans in L1/K1 please stop being complete d*ckheads just for the duration of one football game? Agreed! i often feel really proud of the way l1/k1 get behind the team more times than not they are fantastic, but they seem to drop some absolute clangers sometimes......the two qoutes below show what i mean. It's disgraceful. Oakley on the other hand... Do you see the hypocrisy in your post,or trying to be funny?.....yes oakley was poor today as he seems to be in many games and i felt the majority of the crowd was on his back, but how is this constructive or in anyway supportive?....i feel sorry for him as it seems he cant do anything right..... I find it quite amusing that our "loyal" supporters even have a go at our fans,"where were you when we were shit" and "you're only here for the pie and pint" were embarrassing, perhaps they would prefer the stadium to be half full every game alchohol fuelled spotty teenagers or the old skool burberry cladded "hardman" elders who i think start these stupidly uneducated chants....these same "loyal" supporters boo the likes of oakley etc....gret support guys! the majority are good supporters within L1 who im sure find chants like these very embarrassing
B52 Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 We have a great defence now. We can put our mascot in goal and we would pick up a clean sheet now and then..... Noone can actually know wich keeper would be best. The only one with ideas is Sven who tries different tactics. He has two options now and it's a lot better than one option.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 Ok, so I agree with the chanting being out of order in the cold light of day. I wasn't there but may have felt like joining in as I am a passionate city fan who loves to sing and chant. I'm getting fed up of reading comments calling vocal support 'dickheads' and in one instance someone used the word 'spastic'. Well that IMO is far worse than chanting for Chris Weale. I think we can learn from the discussion, and it's good to air personal views but, make no mistake, if it wearnt for 'this type of person' usually found in L1/K1 all you would here at the walkers would be the sound of prawns being munched in sandwiches! So I for one salute them, if a little misguided and say lads, wise up for next time please.
Webbo Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 That pie and a pint chant was just a bit of tongue in cheek fun, don't take it too serious. I agree about the Weale chants though, a bit out of order. Not everyone in L1 joins in with every chant just as not every one in the Kop sits in silence with their flask, Best not to make generalisations about groups of supporters.
Jacnah Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 I'll shout Weale for 90 minutes straight. Ricardo's shocking. Distribution worse than Wayne Brown. Then you're a complete dick head who's not supporting or helping the team. You have an opinion and you're completely entitled to it..but shouting it out during the game or for 90 minutes just makes you a twat. Pity the fool!
